I have almost nothing to bitch about.

You're gonna have to hide all your paraphernalia when the repair people come over?

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Kings of Leon make me want to yank off my own ears with a set of pliers and then cauterize the bloody holes with a zippo lighter.

If I lived Closer, I'd help you with that. You could definitely Use Somebody to help you with that.

Wife just informed me that preK3 tuition is going to be 500 bucks a month.

When did kindergarten start having tuitionHuh  And how in the hell does it cost fivehundredfreakingdollars?

That's about average, yeah.  Around here to send my son to half a day of structured preschool at a Religious facility (so they slash prices because they're indoctrinating the kiddos while they're there) cost us $250 a month.  To go to a secular preschool with a similar course structure would have cost about $400 per month for a half-day, and that was the cheap one.   I know parents who were spending about $1,500 a month to send their kids to one of the higher-end preschools.   It's crazy.

A month? It's not a public school, I take it?

I've never heard of such a thing as a public pre-school.  They have those in Oregon?  The earliest your kids go to public school in the Ohio/ KY area is Kindergarten.

Wow, this is for fucking PRESCHOOL? Geez.

I guess I'm lucky in that my mother did home daycare, so no preschool needed.

all of this is way cheaper than daycare, under 2 year old daycare starts around $800 a month.

Yes, but then you'd have a very suspicious medical degree hanging on the wall of your cubicle.

I think I might almost be halfway done with my first pass to weed out the really shitty songs.  The next few passes through the remaining songs should be much quicker.

Well then I'll have Sam know that I had three groups: I grouped the old-school R&B in chronological order, then grouped indie songs only by bands named after animals, then randomly selected the most obscure classic rock that only Righ and Sky will have heard of (that I could find on Youtube).

My advanced degrees are still in their envelopes in a box somewhere.  If someone demanded to see them, I'm not sure I could even find them.  I never went to any of the graduation ceremonies either.  I'm not much of a chest beater.

So today I went to see the manager of the townhouse place we rent and complained that the rent increase is too high.  So they slashed it in half.  Then I handed her a list of things I want done, such as new wood floors (instead of the cheap tile that's in there) in the kitchen and bathrooms, replace the carpeting in the entrance hall and dining room with wood, new paint, some appliances replaced,  reseal the doors, and a bunch of other more minor stuff.  She said every thing on my list is perfectly acceptable and agreed to have it all done.

WTF?

You were dressed like your avatar weren't you? Or had you already nibbled at her brains a bit?

I skipped my graduation ceremony, but I do have my degree stuck up in my cubicle.  I paid for it, I might as well get some sort of use out of it.  And when I tell people I've been working here for as long as I have, they sometimes do the mental math and then say "oh, so you skipped college?"  At those times I like to be able to wordlessly point at the paper.

You're also in Academia, so I imagine it's different. *shrug* Round these parts the Doctors, Lawyers, Architects and Engineers I've encountered typically have their Diplomas up next to their licenses to practice.   If (like A&E) they have multiple state licenses they'll just hang the Diplomas in their offices.  I've always read it as a little bit of chest thumping an a little bit of, "Yes, I went to a reputable school, not the Brazil College of Law & Pie Baking."

Torts are their specialty.

Over the years, they've lost some ground to the more prestigious Brasil College of Law, Futbol, and Jujitsu.
