AC is almost a necessity here. It's 97-98 in the sun, 92 in the shade today. It will be 105 over Labor Day. The weather forecast said it was supposed to "warm up" into the "mid 80's" today. Good call. I'm only here 2 more days, so that gets to change.

It is 110 here with the heat index and two people have already died today from the heat (though I'm sure they died of something else, the heat just pushed them off the cliff)>
I'm currently praying to my AC. It deserves it.
It's "only" 100 here at the moment. The inside of the house is at 92 but I have a fan blowing on me so I'm not in danger...yet. |

Welp, I feel dumb, throat is hurting me even worse this morning and the ear isn't improving either. Back to the doctor, yay.
Ran a blood test, negative on mono, doctor basically told me he had no idea what exactly was wrong with me, but the antibiotics should take care of it. Gave me a steroid shot to help with the swelling, and called yesterdays doctor dumb for not offering me the antibiotic shot and just prescribing pills. Been gargling warm water+salt and warm water+baking powder. Apparently the powder is supposed to help balance out of the PH of your throat and make it hurt less, working fairly well. Also gave me some darvocet, I was shooting for vicoden, but it'll do. On a different note, who the fuck doesn't finish the whole bottle of antibiotics? If theres one thing I've always heard since I was a wee boy, it's always finish the fucking bottle. Yes, you're feeling better now. Finish the bottle anyways, shit aint dead yet. |

Also if I am in pain and request pain pills I expect to receive them,especially if its something on the level of vicoden. |

Did he check for a yeast infection? If the PH balance in your mouth/throat is off it's a possible scenario. |

Not unless that would show up on the blood test or when they did a culture to test for strep. Gargling with baking soda seems to help, so do painkillers. Narcotics are great.
Starting to feel better now, throat still hurts like a mofo if it dries out, so just drinking lots of fluids, gargling, and keeping myself medicated.
He also put me on prenatal vitamins, I'm slightly anemic due to my thalesemia minor, and he said they're the best thing to take. Iron, calcium, b12, all in one shot.

All I know is I won't be paying $4k/mo for a house anymore, so anything I pay will be cheap in comparison ;-) Rent seems to range from $1000-2000 depending on where you go and how small you don't mind it being.

Note to self: next time, take the 101 and not the 5. Sure, it's longer and more out of the way, but it's along the coast and not the desert where it was 114° today. Poor car couldn't do AC, climb hills, and stay cool at the same time. Miserably long trip for 4 hours of I-5 where I didn't bother rolling the windows down because the vent air was cooler than the air blowing outside in from the window.
