Sometimes, the same ol' same 'ol gets boring in WoW. Why not have some fun? 1. The Betrayal- My personal favorite. Equip the Gnomish Mind Control Cap and find a zone like STV. Find someone lvling with a lot higher level helper (preferably 60 for maximum irony). When the lower lvl person is halfish or less on health, control the 60 and order them to kill the protectee (this works best with warriors, rogues, and paladins). You get double points if you see gibberish other-faction speak from the victim right before death ("WTF WHY??!"). Ideally you don't participate in the attack at all. 2. The Helpless Protector- Find a situation comparable to the above and equip your Goblin Rocket Helmet. Wait until right after a fight when the lower lvl is low on health. Rocket the Protector, and then quickly dispose of his protectee (the Gnomish Death Ray is ideal for the STV level range, if they are below half it will usually kill someone of 40 or below even if it hits for its normal 700-900). It has to be done quickly because you need as much of that thirty seconds of Helmet time as possible to dance in front of the Protector when his charge is ganked. If you are a druid (like me), and have the mana, go to bear form before you dance (TINY bear form with the World Enlarger for double points). 3. The Grumpy Griffon Master- Hang out at the opposite faction platform in BB, Gadgetzan, Everlook, etc. Once someone comes in, hit him with the Mind Control Cap and order him to attack his own Griffon Master. Since the Master is elite a death usually results in the 20 second window (again, melee victims are better for this as they attract attention sooner). Zones like Everlook are better to do this in because you have an increased chance of getting away...but die if you have to to actually witness the death. 4. Proudmoore's Fury- the ultimate Cap exploit, I've only gotten it to work once. Sneak into the other side's capital city and get close to Proudmoore/Thrall/Lady Sylvanas/etc. Wait for someone to get near. Cap them and order the attack. How many faction members are honored enough to die at their leader's own hand? Also, join my petition to allow Capped opposing faction players to join you in your own capital city when you hearth. The stick in the muds at Blizzard currently don't allow this- I've tried

None of these are worth anything unless you make movies of the action, use appropriate Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart music as a soundtrack, and subtitle the action with condescending remarks. Otherwise, this might as well be another Hyu thread.

The rocket helmet only lasts 5-10 seconds now (post 1.12), fyi. Also, you forgot about the MC cap using all sorts of cooldowns, especially the warrior 30-minute ones. While all these griefing methods are somewhat annoying, they aren't nearly as griefy as using priest MC to throw the enemy off the cliff / zeppelin / into the lava. The 30min cooldowns on the helms tend to cramp your style too. Anyway, my personal pastime is hanging out in darkshire/lakeshire and counter-ganking the silly 55-60s preying on lowbies with my epiced warlock. Repeatedly. -- Z.

I love mind control. I was so dissapointed when they took out the ability to duel in blackrock mountain. No more Horde rogues spamming my priest with Duels to prove something (lord knows what) and show them just how fun it is to go lava swimming. Ah well, AV is still good for a few MC's. While solo-protecting IB the other day a Shaman/ Druid combo thought they could gank me after someone else trained away the guards. The Druid shouldn't have stayed in bear form, it didn't seem to help much against the Shaman. If only you could use other player's abilities. /sigh.

Wait, you MC Capped the Druid? Or just MCd him?
If you MCd him, and the shaman didnt immediately earthshock you, something must have been seriously wrong.

Nightelf priests can protect the Lumbermill flag in AB by shadowmelding near it and then MCing potential ninja captures off the clfif.

No, I MC'd the Shaman, knowing that he was the bigger threat of the two. The druid tried fighting the shaman instead of coming after me. So part of it was I got lucky. Still loads of fun for me, though.

Carebear version ... Biggest base jump I've done by far, is off Teldrassil at the back of Darnassus. You go past the pink exit portal behind the bank, and there's a huge waterfall off the edge of the island. Don't go down that, go to the right of it and through a gap in the hills at the back of the city. There is a huge tree growing out of the cliff and you can drop down to it (may need a HP buff or just take a death to get down there). Once on the tree, you can walk out and out and out along the tree until you are on the very tip, then take a running jump off. Longest drop by far - takes forever. And you survive because the ocean is below.

I love it when I get sent off the cliff by an MC hoping that it'll kill me, and it breaks just in time for a shift into cat form .

During the festivals, I liked to take my mug and jump off Teldrassil. I made it over half-way to Auberdine, unfortunately even in the air you get fatigued. (I just flew in from Darnassus and boy are my arms tired...) Maybe it was because I ran out of ale and my Druid couldn't imagine life without.

As you are a druid, try doing the jump in cat form and hitting Dash before you jump. You leave a vapour trail from the Dash graphical effect (or whatever the cat sprint thing is called).
