Actually, I found that kind of disappointing. It looked mostly like character-pose FMV instead of actual gameplay or demonstration footage. undecided

It does say teaser-trailer at the beginning of it... I think.

Pretty damn cool, I agree with Yoru we still have no idea what the actual game will look like but the "style" is nifty.  I think eventually I will want more violent looking skins but that is what the intrawebs are for.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

Funny that someone here had the same impression that I did about the overall "style" or artwork and graphics.  I find it easier to be a total fanboi about something that doesn't take itself quite so seriously.  Weird the whole little vignette reminded me of Total Overdose more than anything.

Still, got me pretty hyped.

The art style reminds me of Evil Genius.  I like it.

I honestly do not think I have been this excited about a new release since Super Mario 3.  I can not wait to stick some loser with that giant needle!  I'm also real curious as to what the engineer can build this time.

Ooooh. Froth factor? I'm not sure I'm frothing for TF2. It pales in comparison to the posibilities of Portal. Fuck, they should just put the portal technology in TF 2 for the spies but with limited uses.

My buddy (kken) and I used to play as spies together. For some reason, when you have more than one person going the wrong way into your base, you tend not to get raked once over with bullets (the tried and true method of spy detection).

What was really fun was rubbing their noses in it. He rigged up a spraypaint of the intel inside logo and "kken inside" and used to spray it on prominent walls and near the bodies inside their base. It got them really riled up.

Man, I want this. I want this bad, even if it's a straight port.

TF2 and Portals are coming out in the same release, aren't they?  Plopping the portal gun into TF seems like it'd change the gameplay too drastically, but I can see no reason why they wouldn't replace the old teleporter pads with the ability to construct "portal generators".

I just want to once again be able to drop a 30 second detpack in the ramp room in a dark corner, then run away and giggle like a little girl when 5 dudes and a sentry gun bite the dust at once.

I think the best part of playing as a Spy was the acting you had to do to keep your cover, like being desguised as a sniper, and "acting" like a sniper until you could get into position to knife someone, and other such things to fool the opposing team.

Also, I want my sniper back damnit. I loved offensive sniping, finding good spots to take out enemy snipers from close range and camping a base exit, or somesuch. Also, getting just the right shot to one-shot a heavy weapons guy - the key was to aim for the very top of their helmets with a full-charge shot.

Oh, the memories this will bring back, bwahahaha...I might have to reinstall TFC and see if I can get any games.  evil

Damn right.  The Ship is the only game I've played since that even TRIES anything like that.
