You are orienteering for a living? Or is there a "here comes the science part" follow-up?
The science comes when we find a seep or a spring or intermittent stream, or rare plants. Mostly just hiking though. The orange flags weren't always there, either, and we were going on an aerial photo and compass. |

Your avatar and job combination have me confused, if you saw a turtle running (work with me here) at you would you: A) Jump on it just hard enough to flip it over and kick it into it's rabid turtle friends knocking them all helter skelter? B) Study it in attempt to determine exactly what species of turtle you have encountered and how best to preserve it's habitat? C) Have sex with it? |

What is CTF?

The only reason that vid is 2 minutes long is cuz that's about how much of the hike didn't require two hands to push off bushes. I wear leather gloves/gauntlets in the field, too, and it's hard to manipulate the little buttons with those things on. And yes, they're +1 gauntlets. I know someone's gonna ask. Oh, Sauced told me what CTF stands for. |
