What are they giving kids these days in terms of anesthetic? I don't remember being half this loopy when I had them taken out at 17.

Yeah, unless it's fake, she's quite too stoned :P Last year, I had to remove my first wisdom tooth: it took slightly more than 1 hour because one of the root shapes was quite bizarre, so the surgeon had quite a hellish time trying to rip it out: on the top of that, the anesthetic dose they gave me (yeah, of course heavier than the one they usually give you for other dental operations) was slowly running out, and at one moment he was pulling so hard that it felt my whole mouth was going to be eradicated from my face anytime. But after that? Pretty ordinary post-operation routine; a little painful at times (especially at the corners of my mouth, who got quite stretched), but nothing traumatic. |

I used to use propofol or a combination of versed (a valium derivative) and fentanyl (an opiate derivative). |
