Dawkins first used the term and intended for it to rhyme with gene. However I've had people argue that since the term comes from Greek roots and Greek didn't use silent vowels may-may would be the more correct pronunciation and that's how I pronounce it. |

That's a silly and obtuse answer considering the flux and flow of language in general. And he wasn't basing it solely on Greek. It's an invented term, and not descended in a typical matter. While how people pronounce it really doesn't matter all that much, I think Dawkins would be the authority on the matter. |

I'd imagine you get chunks or strips roughly the size of the thing's teeth. If you really wanted it ground into a fine powder, you could have it go through a pipeline of increasingly finer shredders...
