Just curious as to what everyone is currently playing; please post what/and how you feel about where your virtual lives are currently.

I am in EQ2 currently, with an active subscription to WoW and EVE.

Schild was correct... WoW is extremely shallow.  Why did I like it?  2 reasons, SFK and PvP.  Now I am in my 40's the PvP takes up to 3 hours to get into.  Yeah, I know, supposedly at level 60 it is not so bad.  Fuck grinding to fun.

EVE:  I love the concept and lore, plus the universe.  As far as gameplay I am relatively ambivelant currently, and it is a secondary game for me.

EQ2:  Not sure how I feel completely on this.  Part of the problem is I am all alone.  I still do not like the combat changes as they stand; they are waaaay to complicated for solo players.  One thing I can say: I feel secure on this games future and the development cycle.  Good things will come of this.

So, where are YOU and how do YOU feel?

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

The only MMORPG I'm playing currently is World of Warcraft. Got one 60 main (warrior), a level 40 mage alt I play a fair amount, and then a handful of 20ish alts across a couple RP servers I play when I'm burnt out on the shithole that is my main's server.

I've enjoyed pretty much all of WoW outside of a handful of levels I spent with my main. I should've asked around about other areas to quest in before suffering through the intense borefest that was Stranglethorn Vale.

World of Warcraft has become something less of a game to me now that I've gotten to 60, hit high ranks in pvp and gotten my mc gear.  My guild is full of real life friends and that keeps pulling me in.
EVE:  Pretty much what ched said.

I, of course, am eagerly awaiting Baldwin Online.

Not playing anything right now.  I quit WoW once I started getting up into the raid levels again.  Don't really see myself playing it again.

Pretty much waiting on DDO now.  Figure I'll preorder soon for the 10 day beta access and the head start.  Until then I'm just catching up on the single player stuff right now.

WoW and EVE. New to EVE and i like it, particularly the pace, i don't feel i "have" to log in at any point, i just kind of meander around and take in the sights. WoW, not so much. Still enjoy it but the grind to get to MC and above is kind of grating.

WoW, which I like, but I do feel the strain of becoming an Ironforge shut-in except for raids. There's just not much to do anymore except grind cash and rep in between raids or pvp sessions, and that kind of sucks.

WoW.

Even though everyone (everyone) from my server on SWG went to Frostwolf, I went to Kargath to play with some rl friends and turn things down a notch.  In some ways WoW is a bit slick for its own good.  Kind of like a Jerry Bruckheimer movie in the way that, while it doesn't break any new ground, it satisfyingly combines pre-existing elements into a guaranteed crowd pleaser.  I'm having a great time so far.

Looking forward to seeing what D&D and Star Trek online are like.

Currently subscribed to CoH/CoV and PlanetSide. CoH has been boring since level 39 or so (currently 41), after I got my last secondary power and virtually everybody in my supergroup wandered off to CoV, and none of the archetypes in CoV really interest me, plus I don't like playing evil characters. In PlanetSide the NC commanders on Markov (West coast server) are pissing me off (all they care about is farming) and the levelling is way too slow as a support character so I haven't been playing PS much lately either.

Been playing some Guild Wars again now that I can play it on my new computer without it crashing (before I had to play on my laptop which is a bit awkward the way my room is setup) but everything that bugged me about the game design is still there.

In other words I'm kind of in an MMO lull right now and have been pondering my options but there's nothing out there right now that interests me at the moment.

As written in the other thread:

Right now I'm subscribed to Eve, DAoC and WoW and having a lot of fun in all three for different reasons. It doesn't happen often that I feel like a pleased gamer.
When I'm bored or have nothing to do in one, I jump in the other or find time to write on my website.

EDIT- Nothing announced for the next ~3 years appeals to me. I've only a mild curiosity for Vanguard, but mostly because I'm sceptical and see it as pure hype.

Offline I'm currently re-playing Ultima 8 and managed to configure prefectly System Shock and the two Ultima Underworld. They are next.

Sounds like it's time for an alt. The only problem I have is that it doesn't take my alts long to get leveled and I don't really "play" so much as I watch my friends utterly destroy instances for me unless I play one on another server.

...and then I don't like playing my alts since I have to hunt for groups to do the lower level instances that everyone seems to ignore, like Shadowfang Keep/Blackfathom Deeps/Razorfen <whatever> and so on. It's a pain in the ass to get an alliance group together for those four since it requires more than 2 minutes of travel to get to them.

The only MMOG I'm playing at all is a little bit of DDO.

I still find WoW fun, but all you motherfuckers outlevel me too fast, get bored and quit before I can ever catch up. Dwarffuckers.

Still playing WW2OL, not called by everyone who dosn't play it, BattleGround Europe.

Deployment FIANNLY made it into game on Christmas Eve, 2 years after I thought it would. The 7th Panzer divison has been routed twice by the French.

There's also Sniper Rifles. 5 years, but we got Sniper Rifles.

So, having trucked through the first subclass quest and about 50% of the way to Summoner, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna stick out in EQ2 until February 18th or so. There aren't any mind blowing releases until then and I'd really like to see some of the high level EQ2 content. Also SOGA Models + Combat improvements + the removal of spirit shards = luv.

Been playing mostly WoW (have a 36 warlock and recently started a dwarf pally just to see what they're like), some CoH (no CoV yet) a smidgen of GW, an even smaller smidgen of EQ1 (like once every 3 months), and since it's free, I just started Anarchy Online. So far I'm incredibly underwhelmed. Very clunky interface. Don't know if I can stick with it even at free.

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

CoH/CoV. Rediscovering all my old, crufted-over characters with the one-off missions to go save Christmas, and feeding the altitis with an SVG of friends called O.C.E.L.O.T. Indulging my inner Sims fan by tweaking the base. We've nearly got enough scratch for a medbay.

As should be obvious from my posting in the EQ2 forum, I am still playing EQ2 and have been since launch. My only character recently hit level 47. I am lucky to play 8 hours a week.

I have never played WoW.

Playing CoV, but this is doomed.
Trying the Eve trial, but things aren't looking good. Katamari helps a bit.
Sporadically playing GW, still hoping A.net can pull out a "Hail Mary" and save this game.

SOGA Models
No you say! Shocked!

Playing some SWG, now that they fixed the quest I was stuck on. My experience is that they've been very responsive to fixing bugs, something I never imagined back when I was playing before. The most I've had to wait for a bug fix was four or five days. That's impressive, no matter what people might think about the NGE. And I'm a Jedi in training. Eff You, Aunt Beru, and your goddamned hologrind.

I logged into EQ2 for about ten minutes. I was going to roll a new character to re-learn the systems, but I don't think I can stomach the Isle of Refuge again, even though I really enjoyed it (the first six or seven times). And that was about that. Checked out the SOGA models, knew schild would like them, they were funny to me. I wouldn't say worse than the old models, because I'm not sure that's possible. Meh.

Subbed to Eve, I like that game. Takes a little reading to get into, but I've got a handle on the basics now, running the odd mission while learning a little corner of space in my rustbucket. No 0.4 for some time to come :P I'll get hold of the f13 folks at some point, I'm just newbieing around now learning the systems. Moderately high GAO (girlfriend approval factor: "It's pretty"), and some time to get back into a few books I've been meaning to read. I find it odd, but not annoying (like waiting on EQ spawns or fishing in UO). I do wish it had real ship control, though. JtL wins in the fun combat factor.

Anyway, I'm playing COH/COV. I went in reverse, started with COV and moved to COH. I'm having a great time.

I also sub to Eve and WOW. I think my WOW sub is going away. Eve I'm taking a hiatus. I need to find a good corp.

Playing CoV/CoH but beginning to not care (again).

Went so far as to download the WoW patches since I quit but am trying to stand firm and remember why I stopped playing.  I am going through crafting withdrawal; I just keep thinking about how much I enjoyed travelling and picking flowers and selling shirts at the AH.  I suspect I will weaken and resub before the new  year.

Anyone playing on Shattered Hand?  Durotan?

Also thinking about DAOC, where I have a free 2weeker sitting in my emailbox... but last time I went back, I didn't last through the free period because I recalled why I quit before and cried again.

When is Warhammer due?

I'd try EVE again but I doubt I'd make it past the interface.  Am I the only one who hates it?

I have a sub to Puzzle Pirates but for some reason I just don't get the urge to log in anymore.  That is surprising, in the same way that I don't really know why I quit playing Tale in the Desert.  I just don't get that compulsion to play, and I have a lot of games competing for my attention.

I have been lured back into WoW, and it is as fun as ever.  As usual, it's just me and my RL friend; looks like my guild has not logged in for months.  The game has been improved in numerous small ways since I was last in there, and I am told that loot-lock no longer is a problem.  Doing anything in Tarren Mill is as irritating as ever.  Our play sessions are more or less what they had been: he needs me to distract a quest mob while he kills it; I get ganked on the way to East Bumblefuck, arriving an hour after he calls me; we start the fight and get wiped; repeat until helpful Horde player wanders by or we get bored or otherwise have to log.  I would not be playing WoW if he wasn't.

I am playing EVE a lot.  I really like this game, although I am most certainly a newbie.  The pace is slower but I find that relaxing; these days I want to play stuff that is fun and EVE doesn't stress me out.  It's a space-combat MMOG, and since I haven't seen it, it's new to me!  It doesn't have any elves or dwarves, either.  I am having fun exploring asteroid belts for minerals, learning what I get from refining the stuff, figuring out where I can get the best price for my junk (and learning the market system in general), keeping an eye out for someone acquiring a lock on me while mining so I can warp out before they bore through my shielding, weighing out which skills I want to train now and in the future, making sure I have my ass covered financially for when my ship is vaporized, and of course chatting in the F13 chat channel.  There is a huge amount of gameplay in EVE and there seems to be room for several player types.  I am going to see how far I can get in the market game.  I am also trying to find a spot in Frenchie (Gallente) space to set up a F13 corporate office, since every other person seems to be playing a Calamari or Cardassian or whatever, and cross-empire trade can be pretty lucrative.  It was also fun to listen to bhodikhan talk about his pwnage of the Chinese farmers.

Finally, I am working on and playing in the alpha for Baldwin Online.  We are still hashing out some of the design details, but believe me when I say that this will blow the MMOG genre out of the water.  Just a taste: Jeff K from Glitchless will be designing the character progression from Billy all the way through to Alec.  BO will also be the first MMOG to feature both a GUI and a command-line interface, determined by the player's choice of subscription plan.  Look for our open beta announcement next week.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

I cancelled WoW early this month and my sub to it runs out tomorrow. I hit 60, can't stomach another alt, and wasn't finding the elder game fun.

Currently playing EVE on and off; I particularly like how I'm no longer really compelled to log on to keep up. Indeed, now that I'm getting a handle on some of the player-based trading and manufacturing, I can spend an hour setting up orders, pick a skill to train, and then go get real stuff done.

I tried EQ2 at schild's suggestion last night. Nice graphics (although they need to spring for a Speedtree license) but the interface is kinda crappy, the options screen crashed the program every time I tried to save/cancel (and didn't show any options), and the gameplay was basically the same old Dikumud I've been playing since 1994. Having just gotten off of WoW, I'm not in the mood to maul e-Rats with an e-Stick for an e-Ding to show off my e-Dong. Conclusion: not gonna pay.

Playing DAoC still.  Took a few months off,  and have rediscovered my RvR love.  Lot of solo, small group (2-4 players),  and even some PUG 8 v 8.

Also Magic Online, though I've ramped down the amount I'm drafting since I realized I had Christmas gifts to pay for.

Most of my mains are on Durotan. I don't play real regular like, but I've got a few in the teens, and one in the thirties.

Teens group: (between 13 and 16 I think)

Gwynydd - druid
Kyldaely - warrior
Argyl - paladin

Thirties (34 I think)

Thanosa - warlock

I hop around so much I can't keep track of who's at what level.

Edit: They're all alliance. I could be talked into starting up an undead 'lock on Durotan. I love warlocks.

I'm playing WoW.  Haven't had the problem with the endgame some of you all have, then again I did  many guild switches while leveling up my trio of 60s until I found a guild I really liked.  When you do that, even running UBRS for the 100th time for someone's chest piece can be entertaining.  Now if only my hunter could find a PUG...

Playing EvE as well, but I know that'll die-out soon enough.  The combat is what interests me, and it takes too long to get to it, or to clean-up and 'loot' after it once you're beyond the level 1 missions.  10 Mins of combat and 20 of looting/ travel is a bad mix.  Still, for the time being it's entertaining and I'm enjoying blowing the shit out of Pirates in my Cruiser/ Battlecruiser once again.

WoW only. 60 gnome rogue on icecrown in a BWL raiding guild, 53 tauren druid on stormscale for my pvp lust, currently rank 5 and working my way up to 8 for my pvp set.

I'll probably try DDO when it comes out if all the reviews are decent, but I have no real interest in any of the others.

I agree with Cevik's comments in the other thread; I got tired of waiting 45m for battlegrounds so I just started a pvp char on another server that is slightly imbalanced, horde of course, and have been working my way up. 50-59 is DEAD; I leveled to 51 for AV weekend last weekend and now I'm stuck.
