The most I've had in my pocket has been a bit over 1 gold and that was just before training.  Hopefully, my stash starts growing soon and I'll buy my tabard and contribute to your efforts.  Please don't send the thugs to break my kneecaps just yet.

Oh, and Shock was farting around farming gold for the tabard yesterday.  That's probably why he declined you.

Ninjaing chests for the sake of the guild tabard.  Robin Hood would be proud.  :-D

Yeah, I still get a kick out of that.   Shock, you should have just said "Yes. Go away."  to the folks bitching up "OMG is this how your guild operates? So blacklisted!"   The crying must've been divine, I wish I could've seen it.

I have yet to have 1 gold on my person at any time. I think I'll whine again just how badly fucked undead in specific and Horde in general are when compared to the loot/quest density that human/alliance has.

Perhaps it is an Undead problem. I've really had no problem having enough money for whatever I've needed (tabard exception) as a Tauren. I've done all the quest in Mulgore, Barrens and most of the Ashenvale and Stonetalon ones. I've done a few over in Silverpine  and Thousand Needles.

Seems like it's more of a rogue problem.  Low level rogues just seem to be poor.  Happened on my Alliance character and it's happening doubly so with my undead enchanter/ tailor rogue.  Poisons also wtfpwn my pocketbook now.

Although: Haemish, I found the leve 18-19 quillmanes are a good farming spot.  Decent pickpocket loot, good cloth drops for the AH and a reasonable amount of greens compared to the rest of the zone.  Plus the blood thingys they drop sell for 2s90c each stack of 10 and drop pretty frequently.   I made 1g50s in about an hour and a half of killling for one quest last night, and stuck around to get enough to be able to train the stuff I'd skipped.

What are your trades?  I get almost all my money from selling raw materials at the AH, rarely paying any attention to the value of quest rewards.  Grinding on mobs that drop cloth is another decent income maker from my experience, though I'm not as familiar with Emerald Dream's economy.

I've been fine with money, but just barely (undead mage.)  That's after donating every scrap of cloth AND green item to Merusk.  Of course, I do not have the best gear for my level either.

I moved over to the Barrens as soon as possible.  Perhaps that is the difference?  Stonetalon is a must and I haven't been there much yet.  I'd like to get groups for hitting the q's there.

When I've been in Stonetalon lately, I've noticed many more Alliance than when I originally did quests there.

That's one reason I've tried to level as fast as I have, to try and stay ahead of the curve in contested areas so I can run quests in a little more peace than there is now.

Unfortunately, there's mid 40's and 50's alliance running around some of the areas I need to be now. Must catass faster.

Looks like the strategy for now is going to be to find the biggest group you can and make sure you're faster at escaping than at least one of them.

You were there. There was no "crying". It's not that big of a deal. Err....But if you're talking about an entirely different situation, then ignore me.

Again, all I'm saying is that a guild should be more than a group of soloers with their own private chat channel. Especially on a pvp server.

Some of us are starting to catch up with the older chars.  I hit 22 last night and should be surpassing 24 today.  Is anybody up to going to SFK tonight?

BTW, why is Teamspeak so dead now?  And what is that utility that enables the TS names to show up in Wow?  As it is now, I never know there are other people on unless they talk.

I have a level 17 Orc Warrior with 9 gold.  It was not hard to do, either.  All I did was mine copper, smelt it, and sell it on the AH.  It goes for about 80 silver per stack of 20.  Other trade skills like herbalism have similar profitable sales on the AH.  (Hell, you can even sell CLOTH on the AH for a decent amount).

That would involve farming, or hardcore devotion to gathering herbalist resources. Silly me for thinking just playing the game and questing would actually get me enough to have my normal skills and enough money to buy armor that didn't suck.

Of course, on the Alliance side, it was much easier to make money just questing.

I play primarily Alliance, and I haven't noticed a discrepancy myself.  I was at about the same level of equipment with my Alliance characters as I am with my Horde ones at their level.

Lt.Dan is doing Skinning/Leatherworking

Not on Emerald Dream.  20 Copper goes for about 15 silver, 20 light leather for 3 silver, and 20 linen cloth for 5 silver.

You have to remember that everyone on ED is low level, so they are all mining copper right now. Reduces the demand.

The prices of Swifthistle and Fadeleaf on my server are just fucking scary.

6 gold for 3 bits of fade.

Come off it....

Exactly the reason my shaman was herb/mining while my rogue was alch/eng.  No way I was paying asshole tax on my necessities.

Every night etc.. This is just the first time I felt like screening it.

Really, this isn't the "RP PvP/Slightly Mature etc." Server I was expecting. It's the server where a bunch of dorks who got their asses kicked on other servers come to release all of their pent up frustration on lowbies and singles. Not just in Hillsbrad either.

Hmm I dunno, I have a 30ish cow shaman on our horde alt server and money wasn't really a problem for me.

The nice thing about horde lowbie life is, you have a LOT more instances in green territory to play around with. I remember doing RFC, then WC, RFK, SFK, BFD, and planning for gnomeregan (via teleport), RFD, SM... alliance only has deadmines (no, stockades don't count :p). But then again, instancing at low levels is sometimes cringe-inducing, though I had some bored high-levels run me through WC and RFC super-fast like.

Um.

Seriously, you know the huge respect I have for everyone, but I have to say :  What did you expect ??

I was seriously considering transferring to our PvP RP servers, but decided against it for that very reason.  I'll stay where I am and then at least it's the devil I know...

Sure, there are a lot more, but they suck. Ragefire? Boring, copy-paste dungeon. WC? Only slightly better. Blackfathom? Dear god, I hate that dungeon.

Yup, I know.  The fact remains that it isn't the big money maker as it is on established sewers.. err.. servers.  I'm just hording my stuff now, I think other people are doing the same.  Prices will balance out eventually.

We've been trying to get to Shadow Fang for the last few evenings -- always end up being two people short.

I've been having my first forays into contested lands, and it's got all the gimpy gankage I expected.  I haven't gotten killed yet, but spending half my time running to the nearest outpost sucks.  It's exactly what I expected, though, and I'm probably going to limit myself to going out in a group as often as possible.  There was some damned paladin in particular named Sundance or some other gay name that stands out -- attacking people ten+ levels lower than him while they are fighting mobs and still not managing to kill them.  I got over his stun and feared him before he broke through my damage shield every time he pulled his shit.
