I'll stay with my mage plan, but might give up and go rogue if I get frustrated. If I can get into enough groups as a mage it should be fine. As long as I can get to 20 quickly everything should work out well.
It is just that...rogues are so damn fun to play.

Well I played a Warlock to 25 and it was interesting. (Reminiscent of the good old EQ Necro days)
But... dunno I can see a healer being needed. I am sick to death of priest after 56 levels on Ner'zhul. So maybe Druid. But Shaman was fun (easy).
Hell I don't know LOL.

Yea Stray I wasn't implying we need X more than Y etc.
I myself just don't take to melee's as much as casters or hybrids. I still think we should just all roll whatever grabs us as fun, then sort things out later.

I hate to say it, but you actually need more hunters. Not only are they good in group PvP for ranged DPS and stealth detection, in 1.7 beastmaster spec'd ones will rip through casters. Oh, and the pets can provide a 6500+ armor, 120 resist tank now too. Shaman + hunter = teh pwn.
