Mahona Tauren Druid lvl 10, Guild Harbringer

One of the things Ford Prefect had always found hardest to understand about humans was their habit of continuously stating and repeating the very very obvious, as in It's a nice day, or You're very tall, or Oh dear you seem to have fallen down a thirty-foot well, are you all right?

If HRose had a sense of humor, he would have made his name Viklas. Instead, you're all in a guild with HRose.

I'd lol but I'd rather see how this turns out.

I wanted Shock Troops, among other names.

I just want the roster and guild chat channel.

Yes. Long story. If someone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears.

Just nothing like "For Teh Win" or "Zerg Killas" (wait.....that's kind of cool...umm...well, maybe not).

Has everyone gone insane or just forgotten the joy of the stupid wow board thread when people started mining the RP server boards for material?

Good luck on the pvp server though, they are damn fun as long as your not waay behind the curve.

By the time I was able to sit down and get in the game, the queue was over 1000 with an estimated wait time of 60 minutes.  So, no, I didn't get a toon created yet.

I will start a mage and a rogue though.  Names will be forthcoming but they will always start with Dren...

If you see my mage on, group please  :-D

I dropped the Troll Hunter and started an Orc Shaman.  Name is Arkasian.

On a related note:  If "RP" in WoW has already been reduced down to nothing more than a simple set of naming rules, and if people are widely ignoring those rules anyway, as characters named "Axehole" call people Nazis all across General, then what is the point again?

It was kind of amusing to see folks RPing..badly.. last night.  I'll wind-up irritated beyond tolerance soon if I hang around cities too long.

Character Update: I'm almost 9, and have taken on the mantle of Tailor/Enchanter (yeah I know, odd mix for a rogue, but I haven't done either prof yet and we needed 'em.)  Any greens you were going to vendor would be a help, as well as any cloth.   I'm albe to make simple linen bags right now, and If you hunt me down or mail me some mats I'll make one for you.  Othewise I'll be mailing them out one at a time, going down the guild roster as I'm able to gather mats in my normal day-to-day.

As a man with 8 characters on Argent Dawn, all I expect out of this crowd is:

1) No snarky names.
2) Overhearing the occasional RP conversation in /say at bars.

I don't want Orcs spouting Elizabethian monologues and I don't want 12-year olds named Pantyraidleader emoting /dance over dead Gnomes and passing that off as "RPing the conflict."  Time will tell if this is too much to ask.

Your first mistake? You turned on the General channel. Which should be renamed the "I'm an Immature Asstard of 37 Who Didn't Get Enough Hugs from Mommy and Daddy So You Will Listen To Every Word I Have to Say!" channel.

I have none of the broadcast channels on at the moment.

Only /say /yell /party and /guild.  I might turn on /trade when I get into cities, but doubt it.

Yeah well, ya re-roll and start killing Mottled Boars...a few minutes later you start asking yourself why the game is suddenly pissing you off, and you realize that you have to close /1 again.  In the interim the stupid leaked through, giving me a terrifying window into the server's bleak social future.

Server is fucking up, that's why. There was a huge lag spike just a while ago, that lasted 5 minutes (and counting). I decided to log off, but I couldn't even do that..So I just killed the app.

Don't pay attention to the levels of the highest levels, that way lies madness.  Just let them power on up and start ganking Alliance to keep the land safer for my noobish ass.

From my brief wade into the forum waters, it looks like we've got more Alliance than Horde.  Go figure.

Queue will die down in a few days when everyone realizes they won't be the first person to hit 60 on this server, either.

I'm not about to reroll now...And I didn't want this server in the first place  :-D.

That being said: I'm on a 27 minute queue (I'm sure Maelstrom is worse though...And Twisting Nether is well on it's way).

I suggest "For Great Justice" as the guild name (just to piss off all the Alliance palladian holy crusaders guilds)

Change the highest rank to "Zig" and you are gold.

4:45PM PST que is at 553.  Gah!

Anyways for MrHat and those that have already asked:  I'm a waiter at a snarky restaurant here in my town.  I also do staff training and semi-managerial duties.  (I herd the 19 year olds around basically).

Hence I work both day shifts and night shifts, and sometimes I'm off random days.  (Usually Sunday and Monday.)
