To be fair, it's not like it takes a lot of time or effort to 'spot the stupid' on the WoW boards.

Enduring the WoW boards? Now that takes a lot.

New Honor patch causes attitude problem in kid.

The only reason I post it is for this response-

Not the usual  asstardery, but still my nominee for thread of the day for the video.

Wow, just, wow.....the amount of effort needed to do some of those shots must have been staggering.  Especially the club scene.

Yeah. That was a lot of effort for an exceedingly stupid reason, and a video I lost intelligence watching.

A for effort, though.

The shoulders in game are the gheyest thing i'd seen in a while. Good thing he's wearing a mask in that pic. Not that anybody would recognize him since he never leaves the house. I'll add: "If you make you're own RL armor to look like your toon...you might be a catass."

10-1 says more people show up at this dude's in-game funeral than his RL funeral.

Headphones, a flashlight, a banana, and a gamecube controller.

A katana.

Some weird luchador orc mask thing.

Lots of duct tape.

I think this guy is some sort of advanced artist capable of doing things we'll never understand. I'd highly recommend not fucking with him. The last person that did, well, let's just say that banana isn't a threat. It's a promise.

Are you on ER by any chance? There are pretty good reasons why people dislike the KoK. I have ignored them, as they are everything I despise about WoW, a hardcore instance raiding group. Except that now they are a hardcore pvp raiding group, set up with very nice gear and organization from their pve raiding.
Here is a decent post that mentions KoK. Decent post, but the hour in UC in question, I was present for. They showed up and farmed onsies and twosies, I logged before they were apparently set into retreat by an opposing force finally showing up. There was no way for anything but another organized pvp guild filled with high end characters and uber lewtz to oppose them, so I tend to agree with the author's assumption that it was the diminishing returns on pvp that moved them out.

I can't imagine how shitty pvp servers have to be. And that's half of Blizz's big ol' money cow. Woops. Is this (the "honor" system) the single largest blunder in mmog history?

And to stick with the spirit of the thread, a quote from my link:
Quote from: Rytherion
No.

Battlefield parity = imperfectly realizable ideal

That's relatively equidistant from both ends of a spectrum bounded by "oxymoron" and "tautology". In a world where every battle was one thousand Alliance against a single orc, no one would be having any fun, and the reason would be entirely due to disparity. This issue can't be absolutized in one direction, but neither should it be absolutized in the other.

Heh. Not to mention debacles like Horizons, Wish, etc.

For a front runner to stub their toe this severely is pretty interesting.

Even that pales in comparison to UO:R as a whole, with the actual expansion to be patched in months after UO:R's release.

Yes, I am on ER and have read many of the threads regarding KoK.  I find them to be very amusing, perhaps because I am still a lowbie and haven't had to deal with it.  My impression of them being on an RP server is that they don't want to contend with real power gamers, and would rather be the biggest fishes in the smallest pond.

Just for some useless info... Wish was never released.  About ten minutes into the open beta they announced that the amount of people interested in the game wouldn't be able to sustain it.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. As I said, fairly easy to ignore before the "Honor" patch. Honor in WoW carries as much meaning as being a Great Lord in UO: zippo.

Oh shit! It sends a message to a person when you /ignore them? (seen in one of those screenshots of Lobo making an ass of himself)

That's hilarious! I always thought it was surruptitious, if I see someone acting like a moron, I throw them on the ignore list so I can remember the name. Whether it be d00d sp33k or ninja looting a chest I'm fighting for. I bet there have some funny moments, guy thinks he's minding his own business and I driveby ignore him because he is overtly speaking like a moron ("u r teh shiz" brand of moron, on an rp server, f'rinstance).
