If you have HBO start watching this, just started tonight. The first episode was one of the most tense (and great) 90 minutes of TV I have seen in a long time.

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, so I will definitely give it a few more episodes. I feel like it picked up in the second half. Also, John Turturro is awesome.

I liked the finale and the series overall.

I think that the muddiness of the ending was deliberate, the writers making clear that cases rarely have neat "Law and Order" endings. It's all a process, a machine that grinds up lives and never stops.

Really liked this show. Not usually big on police procedurals but this had a very different feel to it. I think that the muddiness of the ending was deliberate, the writers making clear that cases rarely have neat "Law and Order" endings. It's all a process, a machine that grinds up lives and never stops. Very much that. Plus the final line felt very much like a set up for a 2nd season. |
