Not usually big on police procedurals but this had a very different feel to it.
I think that the muddiness of the ending was deliberate, the writers making clear that cases rarely have neat "Law and Order" endings. It's all a process, a machine that grinds up lives and never stops. Very much that. Plus the final line felt very much like a set up for a 2nd season.
