Google Maps has an early start on the festivities.  Look on the bottom left corner.

They always manage to do something that I wish they'd keep all year, like the treasure view they did two years ago.

Over and out.

If that's a joke, they put a lot of effort in. The terms and conditions are all fleshed out, with no indications of it being a spoof.

My bad on the Dash. I'd never heard of it and the timing seemed suspect.

My mother pulled the best April Fools prank ever and had me at 4am...tomorrow.

I still burn with bitter regret at not getting my birthright.

My grandfather's funeral and morning wake was on April 1st 2011. Talk about the land of opportunity wasted. From the wake, to the church, to the graveyard... so my places and things to be had.  All for naught.

While not technically an April Fool, the Urban Mech video for MechWarrior that came out today was hilarious.

The quotes are better than the footage.  I'm surprised you people are old enough to get the reference.

Soo, Landmark decided to waste some of their programmer's time creating an item that changes the game graphics.... Called the retro-izer.

Video of the effect:
Retro-izer in Landmark

Not exactly the most effective use of programmer's time IMO, especially when the recent patch has broken so many things.

I'm sure the 15 minutes that took really impacted their bugfixing schedule.

The patch last Friday had no less than 50 issues with it, and the hotfix yesterday fixed many of them and broke about 30-40 other things. Still cannot open chests that were on my claim since last year... So yah that 15 mins is kind of important.

edit to add link to fix notes yesterday.

Got to let programmers be free sometimes or they go crazy, burn out and quit. Not always in that order.

No, they added an item into the game that changes the graphics.. That would mean it involved at least parts of the items team and parts of the graphics team. All besides the point, and derailing what was supposed to be a funny thread.. Needless to say many of the Landmark players are not amused.
