If at all possible I really think you should replay. Swiftblaed had the upper hand but it was from a sure thing(faaaaaar, it could have easily gone both ways and very likely into overtime). In the best of all worlds you would have been able to resume the game where it got interrupted, but this is cyanide we're talking about so... expecting that you only need to try a match once is a bit naive. And this is the playoffs: Where is your fighting spirit?

We've never had strict rules about matches that dropped because generally the coaches have either agreed that one side had won or that the match should be replayed. I've watched the replay and it's far from clear that the Orcs had the match out of reach. However, they were winning and had removed a key Human player from the game with four turns to go.

Both decisions are unfair.

I propose the following. Replay the game however for the first 11 turns, the teams recreate the score from this game without interfering with each other - that means they let the other team score without throwing blocks, forcing dodges etc. Make sure that the second Orc score happens on turn 11 (get the Orc in place beforehand and wait out the clock). Then, on turn 12, the Orcs will kick to the Humans and you can replay the last four turns. However the Ogre may not be in play. If the Humans have too few players to leave the Ogre off the pitch during any drive then he must be set up in the endzone and may not move or take any actions for the game.

Play it by Tuesday.

Seems fair. But bearing in mind I work I can't see how we're going to get time to replay...

Speaking of not being able to set up a game - my opponent has been swamped at work all weekend, and with the time difference...  Ohhhhh, I see.

Yeah, sorry, Joe Bidden kind of unexpectedly ruined my weekend.  Um, I can maybe stay up late Monday night.  What's the earliest you can be back from class and ready to play Monday?

You said it's just a game and I should just take the game right?
You don't even understand why I'm acting this way right?
All the things you posted, left me very upset, Mr. Swiftblade

Is it really what you think I am?
I want a sincere answer, not in those faux-gentleman stuff you spout but didn't really mean.
Come on, I'm the disgusting one remember?

Sir? I'm waiting.
I'm waiting for a modicum of civility to be re-established in thine words.
I've never played anyone this uncivil in Blood Bowl ever.
Your post-match brushing off my replay request - and subsequent posting of my 'in-game conduct' was just pure spite and rubbish.
You ask ANYONE here. ANYONE that I've played with, have I offended them in any way?
ANYONE that I've played with would've agreed to a replay without so much of a venom in their argument.
But all you posted were lines of 'how lame this argument, but I shall partake in one,' then went to snipe me on those 'ungentlemanly conduct' that was irrelevant.
I read Iain's decision and felt vindicated, then realized that you removed me from Steam Friend list.

And you had the nerve to label me childish, huh?
Here,

I deserve a goddamn apology.

I'm not going to get into an internet argument, because frankly they are lame and this is just a game at the end of the day.

Dude I'm enjoying following this league from the background, so for the sake of moving it forward, how about just re-adding rk?

Accusations of childishness can be leveled at both parties here. Is it sorta childish for him to get aggressive and refuse to re-add himself instead of just getting the damn game over with? Sure, I suppose it is. Is it equally if not more childish to remove a guy from friends (despite talking about how everything's 'just a game' and posting various insults and passive-aggressive snark while crowing about 'not getting into silly internet arguments'), then demand that he be the one to re-add you, claiming that he's the only one being immature? Yeah, I'd say that too.

Both of you get over yourselves and just play the game, so that the league can move forward and I can go back to lurking and following Bloodbowl matches, instead of this embarrassing BS.

Though maybe if I can borrow a laptop from somebody, I might get away playing blood bowl over the hotels WiFi while pretending to support White House staff.   awesome, for real

Bridgeburners vs Secret Military Union
3:1

Well, fully deserved win to Carnifex, he played well while I derped like an epileptic on steroids.

The dice were also largely in his favour, I think, except for double reds one time around turn 4 that made him lose the first drive. Especially the block dice hated me this game, 16/49 successful blocks, wtf undercover amazons Ohhhhh, I see.

In a game much closer than the score implies, the Bridgeburners defeated the Secret Military Union 3-1. It was a close and well played match. It wasn't until a failed gfi on turn 15 by SMU (hope Darth Roxor doesn't mind the acronym) that the outcome of the match became clear.  The failed gfi gave my ww enough of a hole to dodge through and hand off to my other ww, who ran it up to the line of scrimmage, sealing our fates.

So somehow, the stars aligned and Teleku and I got our game in on-time.

My Dark Ones won the toss and elected to receive, intending to trudge up the pitch and score late in the first half while eating the clock, with the idea of either getting the ball back early in the second half or forcing a score with time to go back up by 1.

That did not happen.

The game opened poorly for the Effing Elves, as the Hippies were able to take a few players off early. Before long, the drive was stalled, and a whole lot of nothing happened in the first half beyond injuries and KOs.

The Elves kick to open the second half, and a scrum ensues. However, a blown block by one of the witch elves thinking they could push someone out led to an easy score for the Hippies. On the kick, the Elves' dice finally come alive, and by the end of the half they've nearly cleared the pitch and scored on their final turn, sending the game into overtime.

Even with the Hippies down in numbers, the Elves' must continue to respect their dodging and quick-strike ability. They finally get the ball back and SLOWLY carry it up the field. Painfully slowly. Even down to four players, the Hippies were able to give the Elves a scare, but they managed to keep the ball from the hippies and progress forward, finally inching the ball over the line in the 24th turn to walk off with a win.

So the Elves will advance, on their successful attempt to gain sweet vengeance for the elven bullshit inflicted upon their affliated team Diplomatic Immunity many seasons ago. I believe they may be without one of their Guard linemen for the next match, but that's it. The Hippies, on the other hand...they had 6 players lost to injury in this match, including both Wardancers, one of which is lost for their next match.

Should they ever play again.

In addition to 3 Badly Hurt players, plus a Wardancer with a smashed hand, the Hippies also lost two players to death - one to a fireball in a failed attempt to halt the Hippies' scoring drive, and one to the Bitch Elf, who again earns her pay and is rewarded with the MVP award. This second death was especially costly, as it claimed the Hippies third Wardancer-in-Disguise.

It was a tough match, but well fought by Teleku - this was truly a game which came down to the dice if I've ever seen one.

PS - Not sure why I'm not getting credit for a INT.

Iain, I'd love to play but I can't get in touch with swiftblade - and was pretty tired last night.
Our timezone difference really sucks.
Is there really no way to postpone this week?
Last weekend I woke up at 7AM he said it was 11PM his time.
So I'm guessing if I wake up 5 AM, I might be able to make time for that match which would be his 9PM
Swift, you ok with that arrangement?

9pm my time is usually not a problem; I was online at 9pm last night for 30 minutes waiting for you as Iain indicated you were up for a game. You didn't come online.

Tonight I have Clan commitments, tomorrow I have squash, Thursday I'm at my parents and Friday is RP night, so this week is out. The weekend I am away, so the first evening I have free is next Monday.

I dunno Iain, he looks fully booked to me. Kinda regret not making a game on my Saturday night now.

Iain, I think we're actually both ok with playing the game as per your instructions. It is literally now down to the time-zone differences and previous commitments (certainly on my behalf). If you decide that flipping a coin is fair, then so be it.
