They explain the 9 Realms quite clearly in Thor: Dark World:

Fixed that spoilered image, although for the life of me, can't remember the size stuff, so size.

I always thought that the Nine Realms were different dimensions just connected to Midgard and Asgard, which were in the same dimension in our larger universe, and that there are other worlds out there in our universe.

Don't forget the postcredits scene in Thor 2 with the Collector. That clears up some of this also, at least a bit.

Yeah, I'm all over that.

The first trailer for this was very, very underwhelming. This one though made me go from "Eh, maybe. I like sci-fi though.." to "Hell yeah, when does it come out?"

Also, I love how during the heroic slomo walk the racoon is adjusting his crotch.

Really?  I thought the first trailer was one of the best I've seen.  I went from "why the fuck are they making a god damned guardians movie" to "why the fuck didn't they make this sooner?"

Interested to see if use of music in the film is a thing, or if the trailer soundtracks are just pandering to almost middle aged nerds.

Don't know, don't care.  I just love the music they've chosen to use so far for these trailers.

All the music in the trailers is chosen by the director/producer/whomever person.  It's the stuff Star-Lord listens to.

In a world where Hollyword shits grimdark all over the fucking place, the music and the comedy contrasts well.

They even show he still has an 80's walkman and an "awesome mix tape vol.1"

Inconseqential spoiler unworthy of tag:  The music has a place in the character's story.  It was with him when he left Earth, and is one of the few pieces of Earth he still has with him.  You hear all of the songs on the tape save one according to an interview I read this week - I forget where I read it.

To be fair, when you say Hollywood, I think you mean Warner Brothers.

Yes, I should be ashamed of finding a humorous moment humorous. Clearly they just put that moment into the trailer as a gotcha.

Luckily I don't find gay insinuations to be problematic, though I also know you're joking.

Besides, the proper insinuation here isn't that I'm gay. It's that I'm homosexual for furries. Come on, man, get it right!

Here's a shitty looking page with a working trailer: http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/video-guardians-of-the-galaxy-trailer-2-i-am-groot/

I can't imagine this is bad. Marvel got over the whole "SUPER HEROES ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS" thing with Iron Man.

Fuck, all the Spiderman movies were bad.

I was hoping we'd have some promo shots of bald, blue Amy Pond by this point.
