I'm so hyped for this movie. The mid credit scene in Thor was a major disappointment, but everything else has been good. Can't wait to see the full trailer.

I liked most of it, but I didn't care for how it was edited if that makes sense. I'm still hoping for a good movie. Also, right around the 1:58 mark, looks like Drax vs. Ronan.

If it's not rated R, it will suck.

The trailer looked awesome on it's own, but the song choice ramped it up to  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS for me.

Sounds like there is going to be a fair bit of humor to go with the action, too.

I don't know anything about Guardians of the Galaxy, but I sure want to see that movie.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

This looks to be about as close to a Farscape movie as I'll ever get so I'm excited.

Oh, I'd think you'd HAVE to go down the humour route.  I mean, it's called Guardians of the Galaxy starring a CGI Racoon and a tree.

I can only hope the humour doesn't fall as flat dead as it did in Green Lantern.

It'll be interesting to see how this movie sets the stage for future 'cosmic' Marvel characters.

Before I heard that James Gunn was associated, I was hoping this would be the Staw Wars of the Marvel universe.  Once I heard about Gunn, I was expecting what we're getting.

I am a little disppointed by the Nova Uniforms, though...

Considering that the Nova Corps if you play it completely straight IS the Green Lantern Corps without the silly light-constructs and weakness to yellow, etc. I think I'm glad that they're not playing that or anything else straight. Much as I actually love the character of Nova for some reason I can't fully explain.

I have been a tad more loony then usual of late eh?  I still blame it on a lack of good games to play.  Well that, and too much coffee.

I read online somewhere that Knowhere is in the movie. Not even Gunn will touch Cosmo, right? Also, Rider is allegedly in as well.

So wait, is Del Toro (as 'the collector' guy) in this and the next Thor? (I thought I saw him in the trailer) Someone explain pls, I'm not into these comics. I'm going to assume there's some crossover happening here or I just mistook him in the trailer and it was actually someone else.

The recent Marvel movies have been introducing elements from The Infinity Gauntlet series. Thanos, the villain of that series, was shown (very briefly) in The Avengers, and two of the Infinity Gems/Stones have been revealed so far. The Collector was given possession of one of them in Thor 2 and he was a character in the original comic series so that's why he keeps popping up.

Gods but they pitched that just right, didn't they? I'm getting serious first Iron Man vibes off this; a big risk that somehow, ludicrously, paid off. Because it was FUN.
I just grin like an idiot every time I watch the GotG trailer.

James Gunn, this might be your time in the sun. I can't believe it's been 8 years since Slither.

@1:53 Is that Annihilation Wave?

I just thought of something: Marvel is rumored to have the sequel already planned. I doubt Adam Warlock is in the first one, but I think adapting Starlin's first story (Adam Warlock and Thanos vs. The Magus) would work great in GoTG2 (assuming of course GotG does well enough to justify a sequel).

You're welcome  awesome, for real

Gunn has said in an interview that the ship at 1:53 is part of Ronan the Accuser's "necroship" armada.
