Apparently they are making a Rick and Morty game for VR, which needless to say, I can't wait for.  They actually already made a short "game" called Accounting, which is fucking hysterical and has of course nothing to do with accounting.

There's also Pocket Mortys.

A reminder that this is back on tonight.

In other news, "the sauce" arrived:

BTW it's really easy to make a better version of The Sauce--there's a good recipe that's been posted a lot on Reddit.

I'm enjoying this season but...

The trouble with following Pickle Rick is that nothing can really follow Pickle Rick.

 Ohhhhh, I see.

My favorite part of last night's episode was Morty stepping up and being the voice of sanity.  I'm sensing that he's getting a bit of a growing-up character arc this season, and I wonder if his line in last week's episode about Rick destroying his childhood was intended a little more seriously than it sounded.

As an aside, my favorite neighborhood bar has taken to showing Rick & Morty on the TV each Sunday night; it started off slow but word has gotten out and the place was packed last night.  I love it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Avengers deconstructed, but I just loved the pure fuckery out of Pickle Rick.  I think it'll be hard to top that for me.

Pickle Rick may indeed be the pinnacle of this show, but I wouldn't put it past the creators to find a way to top it.

Just started binging on this, I can't believe I waited so long. Actually I'm fucking glad I waited this long, what's with the two year break between seasons?

All right, how long did it take everyone to call the reveal at the end of the last episode?  I think it didn't quite dawn on me until the Godfather-esque scene toward the end.

Which Morty was that? It seemed like I should know, but I've forgotten that one.

Eyepatch-Morty who built the MortyShield with the remote controlled Rick killing other Ricks. I called it early, the wife was surprised I was right at the end.

It'd been so long since we'd seen him he wasn't at the top of my mind, but if anyone else at the bar had yelled "EVIL MORTY" at any point after we saw a Morty running for president I would have instantly known they were right.

I thought it was him as soon as I saw there was a Morty running for President. Then again I've also been regularly watching reruns so most of the shows are still top of mind.

Went back and watched the "Close Encounters of the Rick Kind" episode. Yeah, I would not have remembered that character at all but man, it just makes the latest episode that much better.

It's on youtube and I think Adult Swim's website... for free.  Maybe it is geolocked though?

Edit:

Hmm.  Doesn't seem to be up for free anymore, though there are free livestreams up that appear legit.

R&M is the only show on TV that I will actually watch on TV (which requires leaving my house and going someplace that has cable).

Morty's Mind Blowers was fucking awesome. Every time I think they can't get better, they do. Not quite Pickle Rick but really great.

Weird one this week, I wonder if it was a clone Beth AND a clone Rick at the end of the episode.

I got the feeling it was a clone Beth and didn't even contemplate it being a clone Rick, but of course the entire point of the ending is that it doesn't matter in the slightest.   awesome, for real

I don't think it matters whether it's clone or not (unless they decide to do something with it later). Just having the choice should make Beth mellow out (and accept that she's more Rick than she was previously willing to admit).

What that episode got me curious about is whether Beth has the potential to be as much of a dangerous genius as Rick.  Will "future Beth" show up at some point as an antagonist?

This show just continues to be fucking amazing. Making an episode about how nothing matters and then the resolution ending up really being that nothing matters is brilliant. Also, there's muppet fucking and baby eating and it's FUNNY.
