Anyways, this discussion is stupid.  There is a clear difference between this and the Adam Orth retardation.  Adam Orth was a creative director adamently insulting a huge population of players who don't live in major cities.  Adam Orth was also a creative director at Microsoft, which means he was in a position to decide how and where things went (I can't remember if he was specifically with the XBox division though or which division).

This idiot is just a random senior engineer.  Senior doesn't mean shit except he's been in the job for a while.  His word carries no weight (at least not from title alone).  He also didn't insult the player base, he just spouted that one of the console is shit, which isn't nearly as big of a deal.

I was talking to my sister who has 3 young kids and she said loves the Wii, as they are great fun, the kids can play away with them and it has loads of games. She said she probably wouldn't bother getting the Wii U though as its way too expensive for what you get and all the atachments cost extra, and she said she might get an Xbox or something when the kids are a bit older.

My experience with my kids was exactly this. Nintendo for when they're small, XBox/PS3 when they're preteens and up.

I like that if I say something stupid on this forum, people say, "You're stupid, STFU," rather than running off to tattle-tale to my employer to get me in trouble. I make games because I like games. I talk about games with other gamers because I like games. I don't do this because I want to be a rock star or stalked by tabloid shitheels. I am not a community manager. I am not a public relations representative. I'm a grunt, not a general. I don't want to live my online life with the same sort of fear and paranoia the "generals" do, unable to show my face or say anything.

Why a person wouldn't use a pseudonym for Twitter is beyond me. Pseudonyms free people so they may speak their minds, provided it is not known who their employer is. If it is not known who their employer is, it is highly unlikely to hurt the employer, and hence for the employer to hurt the employee.
