What is it about twitter that seems to confuse these people? Is it some kind of illusion of just having a conversation or something? Bob Summerwill - a Senior Software Engineer at EA has just broadcast to the world that the Wii U is crap and that is why EA has no games in development for it. Besides their offerings on Nintendo have always sold poorly apparently. Let's face it, Link and Mario are the only real reason Nintendo has lasted this long.

After the Gamecube, which was on par with the rival consoles, Nintendo began failing seriously hard.

The Wii was barely better than the GCN, graphics wise. And the whole Motion Controls thing was a good gimmick until Sony rolled out Move and Micro$soft Kinect.

The WiiU was destined to failure from the beginning. This is supposed to be a next gen console, but the graphics are on par with the PS3 and 360(which are the same generation as the Wii), and though they finally have game DLC, it mostly requires buying an external hard drive(which is around $80) separate to the console, which is $300-$400 for a span of 8-32gb of internal flash storage.

Not to mention the enormous controller on the WiiU is ridiculous and probably expensive to replace. Not to mention it may have been ripped off from an April Fool's Day prank about the "WiiDS" being announced a couple years back.

To end my rant, I'll finish by saying that Nintendo is a dying animal that needs to be put out of its misery. Sony or Micro$soft should just buy them out and release all their games for the PS3/4 and the 360/720.(An enhanced port of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn would look fucking epic on the PS3.)

The guy was dumb to say it publicly and will probably be unemployed soon. However, what he said was true. Nintendo has Metroid, Zelda, and Mario. That's it. My Wii gathers dust while my 360 and PS3 get used a lot. (though to be fair I use them more for generic entertainment (Netflix, Blu Rays) than games.

Doesn't matter.  People need to learn that what they say publicly, with their company touted proudly in their sig, is going to get them fired if it generates bad press.  I don't know why that's a hard lesson to learn but it keeps happening.  You want to spew shit, do it without the company tag or keep your mouth shut.

Look, if you work at any position at any company you have to conduct yourself in a professional manner.

You are not allowed to badmouth customers or competitors, disclose sensitive company info or behave in ways that could make your company look bad, leave them open to law suits or might harm it financially.

This should be common sense but is also a standard part of every damn employment contract everywhere.

So no one should be sad or surprised if that guy get's fired. He might have told the truth or he might just have engaged in a pissing match with an angry gamer on twitter doesn't matter. He just went and disclosed a part of the internal business strategy of his employer on a fucking public medium which could cause his company all kinds of financial, legal and pr troubles. Even if it wasn't true and he just pulled that out of his ass itmight still cause EA to feel all kinds of real repercussions.

You might not like EA and its business practices but you simply don't do that. Especially if you write your fucking job description all over your verbal diarrhea as if it was a medal of honor or OBE.

Anyone stupid enough to do that deserves to be fired.

The best selling current gen console is the Nintendo Wii.  The only console you like is stuck in third place.  You don't get to call the number one console maker a failure.  So let's look a the rankings as per you.

#1) Nintendo Wii - "Failure"
#2) Xbox 360 - "Junk"
#3) PS3 - "Like"

Nintendo also makes far and away the most popular hand held system(s).

I don't own any Nintendo stuff and don't plan to but that doesn't make them "failures".

Although, I"ve gotten a lot of mileage out of the 3DS, Nintendo's consoles just...well...they do suck. The only two game franchises Nintendo has that I can be bothered with are Fire Emblem and Metroid. When the WillU (good lord, these names) hits about $100 (shouldn't be too long at the present rate of decay) I might pick one up--mainly to see the Wii versions of the above mentioned games--it sure as hell isn't because of their present library of W-U games.
