Just wait until some Dad is watching this and thinking to himself, wait wasn't my daughter in that program?
I'm sure that happens all the time in the porn industry.

Who gives a shit about the dads? The whole overly concerned worrying about what your kids get up to in the bedroom thing is frankly flat-out creepy in its own right. I'd be a lot more worried about the possibility of women being institutionally pressured into shit here.

There's no reason to worry. That's exactly what was happening. And they probably weren't pressured. It is most likely that they were paid for their activities. I still think I'd rather not have my kid being smoked up or whatever while he's on a recruiting visit. I've known several kids personally that went off to play football at regional colleges and came back with raging Oxycontin addictions.

I'm not really worried about that at all. Having known similar programs in the SEC, the girls that sign up for these things are not stupid, nor are they going into it blind, nor were they coerced into anything. Frankly if they were, I'd think that shit would have hit the fan long before money changing hands or drug issues.

The shit is hitting the fan now, and I can guarantee you that money passed hands between the girls and whoever was doling out the funds.

Damn, there's a lot of good OOC matchups this weekend.
1. UT/Oregon 2. Ohio State/Cal 3. UCLA/Nebraska 4. Texas/Old Mississippi
I don't think that the outcomes will be in doubt for Oregon or tOSU, but at least they're playing real teams and not Northwestern Louisiana Technical and Bible College at Texarkana. UCLA versus Nebraska could be a very good game. UCLA is decent and Nebraska is not the Nebraska of old, but they're still Nebraska. I expect Texas to beat Ole Miss pretty handily, but Mack Brown could fuck up a blowjob, so you just never know.

I'm also tossing Louisville-Kentucky in there as one I will watch.

That is going to be a 70-0 train wreck, so yeah, probably worth watching.

So you're saying lay the 14.5 on Louisville? I was planning on that anyway.

I would say don't bet on any other game and put all your money on this one. In fact, you might take your entire retirement savings and bet it on this game.

I like that UT's schedule isn't tough enough with the SEC East, we have to also play Oregon.

Actually, in reviewing all the UK/UL games since 2000 the underdog according to Vegas has outright won 6 times. So maybe we should temper that suggestion. Also, in other news, the SEC cheats. This taking money thing is starting to burst at the seams.

I laugh at anyone that thinks this is new. Today's players are just dumb enough to bite the hand that feeds them.

Alabama is taking Aggy to the woodshed.
Addendum- I can't believe that Johnny Football played that well and they still lost. That may have been the best punch for them this year. Their schedule is tough, but not too bad really. LSU is at home and no Georgia or Florida. Hell, might as well give them the title now.

This upcoming weekend has to be the shittiest schedule I've ever seen on the CF slate. The best game is Arizona State versus Stanford. Everyone else is literally playing Florida International University.

Yeah of all the weeks for me to be at home and not giving a shit, there's absolutely nothing intriguing to watch.
"Best" games of the week:
Clemson v. NC State on Thursday UNC v. Georgia Tech at noon Michigan State v. Notre Dame 3:30 Tennessee v. Florida 3:30 Auburn v. LSU 7:45 Kansas State v. Texas 8:00
That's it, and some of those are pushing it on whether or not it's watchable.

The Texas game is worth watching just to see the trainwreck, if for nothing else.

So, Cal-Ohio St. wasn't as embarrassing as I had feared it was going to be. In a year or two our offense is going to be absolutely sick. We have one of the youngest rosters in all of division one.
Our defense, I worry about. Basically every dude on Ohio State's offense was 2 inches taller, 30 pounds heavier, and half a second faster than the guy we had lining up against them, I'm not sure they're going to grow into a good squad.

Well, hopefully you didn't hire your coach for defense.

As we used to say back when I played: You can't coach size.

Seriously, the NCAA should be embarrassed for trotting this lineup out.

Hahah. Mack Brown pre-emptively apologizes for Oklahoma loss. "I want to apologize to all Texas fans in advance," said a visibly-shaken Brown. "66-17 is unacceptable. I'm as disappointed as anybody about how the team will play against Oklahoma on October 12. But you can't look back at next month's loss and torture yourself with ‘What ifs?' You have to move on."

Maybe we will find out what happens if Texas goes 3-9 at this rate. They SHOULD beat Kansas and Iowa State. The rest of the games though? You have 4 top 25s and a bunch of tossups on the road.

The NCAA doesn't have a lot of (any?) say in where and when the teams schedule their games.

Cupcake week won't last very long in the new regime hopefully. TV hates it, fans hate it, and I'm hoping the committee punishes it.

Well, of course they fucking did. Texas Regents talked to Nick Saban's agent. Joe Jamail, a billionaire trial lawyer who is one of the top donors to Texas, is Brown's attorney. When asked about the conference call with Sexton and the lunch meeting, Jamail suggested Hall was acting on his own and threatened to sue anyone outside the university if they try to pressure Brown to resign.
"If there are any more, get ready for a lawsuit," Jamail said. "Mack has publicly stated he wants to coach."

Tom Hicks was also involved in the phone call. Run far the fuck away, Nicky Boy. That guy is a colossal douche and a shitstain on any sport he touches.

Living in Austin vs. living anywhere in Alabama makes up for the difference.

No, but it's probably a job that can pay him double what he's making right now.
Addendum- plus what Ingmar said. Austin is nice.
