No, you aren't.   awesome, for real

I don't see Samprimary on Steam either.

So I decided the grind Imperial faction rather than doing trade loops and then grinding faction later, finally unlocked Clipper to find...

...Clipper needs a large pad and so I can't use it to continue to grind faction for the Cutter down in Wu Guinagi :-(

Thus ended my plans to use the Clipper to finish the grind to Cutter

So instead I traded by Keelback in for an Asp Explorer (since I could barely afford the Python hull) but, having put a class 6 shield on it, I don't have much more cargo than I had in the Keelback (although it's much more robust and the range is fantastic) so I was a little disapointed by the Asp as a [courier] mission ship

I lead with it.

My Six slot is given over to a First Class passenger cabin, then I have the Five slot fuel scoop (it's a C just now, but will be an A tonight)

After that it's shields and 'the rest' of the shit, including a 8t cargo bay for when the passengers want to give me stuff as a reward.

I have A's on the Core stuff, so if I get interdicted by something I think I can't beat, I just leg it.

Does this work, I wonder ?

It looks like you have enough power to fit one (or maybe two) 0A shield boosters in the utility slot(s).  That should help offset the 3A shield generator.

I meant the link. I know the ship works. Its my wee Cleopatra.

Yes , I could stick in shield boosts, but never needed them.

My Asp Explorer is about a third of the price and a lot more limited in the role it serves: Asp Missioner

Mostly delivery missions which are nice when you get a couple with the same destination and low enough tonnage (just did a run for a total mission payout of 5.8m for about a 300ly trip which the ship has enough fuel for... the only hiccup was that the delivery station happened to be 300.000ls from the jump point  why so serious?)

I don't know, do I?

All I know is my Viper 4 was able to run from any interdiction and my Keelback wasn't. Neither was my Keelback able to survive long enough to leave an interdiction - as a stopgap I fitted a fighter and used it as a decoy while I bailed (which admittedly didn't work very well as I usually escaped with barely any hull). Since then I've actually be playing the interdiction mini game rather than submit and run the gauntlet.

I'm gonna be honest, I've never been forcibly interdicted.  I find the wee mini game hugely easy and only submit when I don't quite fancy pointing the other way at the end of the whole strumash.

I've also not yet found the fight that kills me when I've wanted to have that fight with my wee 3A shield.  The big ships that are a danger, I can get away from, the small ships I can own with minor injuries at worst.

But this is just me - it's really up to you and your playstyle.  If you feel you need the shield, have the shield.   I have never run a Keelback, so I simply don't know....

My Type 7 can run from interdictions without a shot hitting the shield. I don't see how a Keelback would have any trouble, assuming you have maxed the thrusters and power to engines, and submit instantly. I've only taken damage from in interdiction once, and that was a whole 5% of my hull.

The Type-7 Miner is lovely, by the way.  It seems to me to be the perfect balance of cost, storage and mining capability.

6 collectors, 2 mining lasers, a nice 9 bin refinery and 2 prospectors for finding that painite quick.  Just under 200t of storage.  I tried with 3 lasers, but it drained the capacitor and the drones pick up stuff perfectly with only 2, so fuck it, sold one of them.  Also, unlike the type-6, I can get a shield on it for those times when Elena makes me crash into shit.

I have that where I want it and I'm just leaving it in the dock beside a couple of lovely rings of pristine metallic.

I've looked at 'bigger' mining ships and I don't really see what they add to the mix, except possibly a faster mining rate you don't really need....

Basically the Python can have 2 medium miners running constantly once you max the power Distributor, which I think effectively doubles your mining rate.

Yeah, my point was I don't see the need.  I mine when I want to relax.  Scooping up a whole ring into my gub is not the point of the exercise.  Nor is it about cash, as such, because I make more ferrying folk.

 Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Got offered 17 and a half million last night to run some passengers around 3 stops all within 300 ly.  What the fuck, I thought, I'm doing that.  It's pretty much orders of magnitude higher than I've ever been paid for such an easy run.

Then I get to the last bit and it's an Anarchy and she wants to see the Black Hole in the system.  lol.

Still made bank and it wasn't bad at all - Some of the views she wanted to see were truly breath taking and exciting.  I also made 250k on the survey data while moving her around.

I took some screenshots, which I'll see if I can whang up on Discord when I'm next on.

Did my first passenger mission last night; it ended...poorly.

Dude was offering 30k to go to 1 stop about 50 LY away; low payment but I wanted to try it out, plus get the hang of scanning stars and shit so I went for it. I get out to the System, and of course it's on a planet. I fly down to the thing he wanted to see, and crash into the planet a little which causes him to bitch a little. Ohhhhh, I see. As I'm headed back, I realize that my passenger is an illegal; didn't notice that when I took the quest. I dodge an interdiction, and make it back to his home base. As I'm flying through the blue light into the station, I get scanned; my docking permission is immediately revoked and since I'm inside, the station and guards immediately aggro and murder me...which fails the mission.

Is there anything that can do the trading role of the Type-9 without being the Type-9 ?

The Type-9 is fucking bollocks, is what I'm saying here.  Utterly, utterly miserable.  But it has 528 tons of fucking cargo, which is a lot of slaves.

Yeah.  And I could juuuuuust get it if I sold my Asp.

But I did that once and the regret and pain spurred me to get the cash to get it again in quick order.  You won't fool me again.     why so serious?
