Leah is none other than Jennifer Hale DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

I'm starting to get really tired of Hale popping up everywhere. I won't deny that she delivers quality work, but having the exact same voice everywhere gets annoying. It's not like there aren't any other women out there who can voice act.

Seems the templars heals are falling behind as I level, he just isnt saving my ass heroically like he used to.  I have a lot of HP and his little heal isnt scaling well it seems with that.  Might go Enchantress tonight.

I blame casting directors for not asking her to change her voice whatsoever.  She can do accents, and I imagine voice actors get bored doing the same voice over and over.

Eh, her Leah voice is a lot chirpier/higher pitched than say her Shepard/Trooper one, it took me a while to realize it was her.

The scoundrel points out basically the same thing in a completely different way.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

As for Hale, I am also sick of her, so don't get me wrong, but she's fine in D3. It's not her Commander Shepard Voice, which is all I really ask at this point.

Good to see I'm not the only one enjoying the followers.  As a wizard, I keep the templar with me most of the time.  His lines are OK, but I like Lyndon's better.

He does take pride in his work!

Sadly, I'm finding the Templar/Scoundrel stories more compelling that the actual game story.

I like how they have dialog in NM for follower combination you can't get in Normal. E.g. if you have an Enchantress with you when you rescue the Templar he greets the Enchantress. Of if you have the Enchantress with you at the start of Act 2 you get some amusing dialog.

I've had Lyndon with me most of the time because he's so amusing. It's a lot of fun listening to him when you start over again.

I can't stand the Enchantress. She's really boring after the Templar and Scoundrel.

Whoever does the Scoundrel's voice and whoever wrote his story are to be commended. First-rate.

I wish I could change my female monk's voice. Reminds me of Nastasha Nogoodnik.

Lyndon is just my type of friend in real life. His remarks rank right up there. Running into the demon section right before the spider bitch in Act 3, he blurts out "Angry naked women are attacking me?! It's like that summer in Westmarch all over again!" I almost lost my shit and had to reread the chat box to make sure that is indeed what I heard.

Kormac is all gungho noble warrior. Nice, but gets grating after a bit. Though his conversation storyline is oddly interesting.

Eirena? Have not really used here at all but I had her for a run or two and could not port fast enough to grab Lyndon.

oh she can be entertaining too: (paraphrased)

Eirena: Did you know that.....?
Sorcress: Actually I did.
Eirena: *utmost devastated and apologetic tone* Oh...I am sorry.

Edit: But yes, Lyndon is great. I have already added him in my long list of video-game-characters-I-would-have-sex-with.  Heart

Lyndon is my favorite sort of character, I knew he was going to be my favorite the moment he said my demon hunter looked like he knew a lot about markets. <3

The Enchantress is pretty boring, although once in a great while she says something that will amuse me. My demon hunter is a huge crabby asshole and my wizard is an insufferable douchebag, so it's not like she has a lot to work with anyway.  why so serious?

Lyndon makes me wish my own character were more likeable. He's cool (not to mention his 3% crit) but it's annoying how hard he brings out the wet blanket in my monk.

Lyndon does pretty much hammer home the various personalities, I think. He definitely makes it clear my demon hunter is a humorless jerkwad. I mean, I knew that's how the demon hunter would be (he smolders with generic rage with the best of 'em), but it's sort of extra pronounced when he's banging around with Lyndon. It's alright, though, I am sure he appreciates the DH's commitment to being the straight man or something. I'm pretty sure he secretly likes the templar for that reason.  awesome, for real

Do followers get any notably different dialog with the different heroes?

There's a lot of generic banter I know, but at the end of his story my followers were referencing my Monk far more specifically.

I don't know about "notably" but there are some differences that I've noticed. Generally the difference is what you say rather than what they say, from what I've seen.

I did enjoy my lady monk (I think it was my monk) giving the templar shit for his order not allowing women and Leah totally backing her up on that, though. Pretty sure that doesn't even come up if you're, say, a dude.

There are definite gender-based dialogs. Lyndon takes a few attempts at my female barb while he asks my male barb about my significant others.
