By the time Slap picks this up you'll have moved on to your next game anyway.

If he's not moved on by the time it's actually out, I can only assume because it winds up coming out in June.

Ya, since noone objected,  I will be making Fledermausland on Fort Aspenwood as soon as servers come up.  Look for Tazelbain.

My guild's on Jade Quarry for obvious naming reasons awesome, for real

As a Euro planning to play on US servers, I'm very interested to see where the servers are located, whether there are east/west-coast servers (right now it seems like all servers are in texas), and how badly high latency screws with things, esp in melee and/or pvp.

I think one joke from Ingmar doesnt really constitute a mandate to change the guild name. Just saying.

I didn't think so but I got a warning when I picked it, saying that I'd have to pay to change servers later.

Anyway I'm in as Rendakor. Couldn't seem to get guild chat working; I could read it but nothing I was typing seemed to show up. No idea why.

Anywhere people gather the game turns into a slideshow on my machine. Yeah yeah "unoptimized beta" I know, but when I can play Rift, SWTOR, TERA all just fine this does not really bode well. Performance is so bad I just get a headache after playing a while. And so far this "questless" system just doesn't seem much fun in practice - go to NPC, do basic kill/pickup shit till he's happy, move on to next. The dynamic events kinda seem like a downgrade from Rift's so far too. Meh, that moment when reality sets in I guess. *sigh*

I like it so far.  The basic 'set fire to my neighbor's dogs to make me happy' stuff serves to keep you in the area long enough for it to be likely that you'll run into a dynamic event, which I think is more the actual spotlight of the game.  Harvesting turnips for Farmer Ben is clearly not much more than a time sink, but when polar bears parachute down into his farm to tear it up, it gets more interesting quickly.

I liked it too but in the human area there was a distinct lack of creativity as I ran across several outposts that needed tidying up and the rats killed. I'm not fond of the hunt the clickable items quests so this repetition irritated me.

Most of the Heart quests had several ways to increase your bar.  Almost always an overlapping event will fill it completely.
