In the regular season, my keen insight proved barely better than simply flipping a coin to pick winners with 64 out of 105 games called correctly. Now it's time to turn that white-hot scrutiny to the playoffs and failoffs!
Playoffs: Ingmar v Avaia - Ingmar is an easy favourite here. The rash of Disturbing Presence all over the pitch won't affect the Dwarfs at all and the game will be exactly the kind of low mobility, stand-up fight that Beardstorm ought to win. 2-0 Ingmar. Actual result: 2-1 Ingmar Catfud v Comstar - Two teams with monstrous TV clash and injuries will likely define the course of this game. If the Undead can shred enough Amazon flesh early in the game, it will be hard for Comstar to reply. I'm going to give this as 2-1 to Catfud. Actual result: 1-0 Comstar Lamaros v Ulysees - The Skaven have had an impressive season and are all fighting fit for the playoffs. I don't think that the Lizards will go further than this. 3-1 Lamaros. Actual result: 2-0 Ulysees ICE v Bann - Elven Bullshit plus substantial inducements will make this a frustrating game for Bann. I'm going with 4-2 ICE. Actual result: 3-0 ICE AndyDavo v Strazos - Strazos has to choose between buying a bench for this game or having any inducements. It shouldn't be a hard choice to make but Andy will be looking forward to a match where he won't be facing star players and wizards. AndyDavo 3-1. Actual result: 3-1 AndyDavo Teleku v Drogg - Teleku has had plenty of experience vs Lizards in the regular season and I expect him to dance around them here too. 4-2 Teleku. Actual result: 2-1 Drogg Carnifex vs Falc - Inducements and a bashy Lizard team wail be a hard nut for the Amazons to break. Falc is a good coach but I think he'll be up against it here. 2-1 Carnifex. Actual result: 3-2 Carnifex Ruvaldt vs Sjofn - Ruvaldt has a perfect record in the regular season and a terrifying team. This is the end of the road for Sjofn. 2-1 Ruvaldt. Actual result: 2-0 Ruvaldt
Failoffs: Celer v Reborne - Pro Elves vs Ogres. I doubt that Celer can lose this but I think that Reborne will make him wish he'd never played. 3-0 Celer. Actual result: 4-1 Celer Ezrast v Ramas - Much mauled Elves go into a crunching game against tough Norse. 2-1 Ramas. Actual result: 3-1 Ezrast Megrim v Ginaz - The Vampires have done well all things considered, this will be a stiff test though. 1-0 Megrim. Actual result: 2-1 Megrim Krummi v Brocktoon - Hard to call. I think that the Gentlemens Club will come out ahead though. 2-1 Krummi. Actual result: 5-0 Krummi Haemish v Kailas - This will be a good match for Haemish, not only should he win but he'll finally have a team that even his rats can smack around. 3-1 Haemish. Actual result: 2-1 Kailas Proudft vs SirT - This could be an interesting match as two slowish teams meet head on. My money is on the Khemrians though. 1-0 Proudft. Actual result: 2-1 SirT IainC v Luckton - I shouldn't lose this and should rack up the SPPs. Let's see what Nuffle says on the day though. 4-0 IainC. Actual result: 3-1 IainC Cancklebiter v Paelos - A bashy Chaos team will run head first into the Undead and just stop. Low scoring affair with lots of pain to spread around. 1-0 Cancklebiter. Actual result: 1-0 Cancklebiter
If that is all correct (hah!) then the quarterfinals will look like this:
Playoffs:
Ingmar v Catfud Comstar
Lamaros Ulysees v ICE AndyDavo v Teleku Drogg Carnifex v Ruvaldt
Failoffs:
Celer v Proudft SirT Megrim v Krummi
Haemish Kailas v Ramas Ezrast IainC v Cancklebiter

Well aren't we just a cocky motherfuker Let's see if that cockiness stays afloat after the 'flings steal your rerolls, stunty-dodge away from you and the treemen Mighty Blow your ass to oblivion.

Yes. And to Lamaros: it's partly wishful thinking. I want to play against Beardstorm!

Copying my predictions here from the other thread.
UPPERSIDE
Ingmar v Avaia - Guard and MB with give Ingmar the edge, even though Avaia will have a bundle of inducements. Llyse v Comstar - Comstar's team just looks too strong on paper. I'm tipping the Amazons. Lamaros v Ulysses - Will be a strange one. Not sure what is and isn't going to be playing after the last game. No tackle as yet, but a bit of diving tackle. Only five players with block. Ice Cream v Bann - Only injuries will give Bann the win, and I'm not sure. The MB and Tackle players will be key for Bann. I think it will be tight but I'm picking Bann.
LOWERSIDE
Andy v Strazos - Strazos will have a few inducements, so if can get some early injuries he will have a chance. I have to pick Andy though, his team is good, as is he. Teleku v Drogg - Another really close one. As with Ice Cream's team Tele depends on the star players and it will probably depend on some early injuries and the like. A bit of diving tackle will help but I dunno it it will be enough. I'm going with Teleku. Carnifex v Falc - Too much guard for Carnifex, I think the lack of other skills will hurt him. Falc's team is just a mess though! With the inducement and Falc's AV6 players I'm going with Carnifex. Ruvaldt v Sjofn - Ruvaldt hasn't lost yet, so I'm going with him.
FAILOFFS
Celer v Reborne - Ogres haven't won much in their time, and Elves won't give them a win. Ezrast v Proudft - Proudft has had a bad season, but I'm going with the Khemri. Megrim v Ginaz - Tough one. The Vampires will struggle against Lizards, but Megrim is a good coach. Lizards for me, though. Ramas v Brocktoon - Norse will eat up Goblins. Haemish v Kailas - Rats to win easily. Krummi vs SirT - Dwarves will be in with a chance, but I'm picking Krummi. IainC v Luckton - Luckton to get some early injuries and pull out a surprise win. Paelos v Cancklebiter - Cancklebiter had a solid season and just missed out in a hard group, I think he will take the still developing Chaos.
Got a few of the matchups wrong in the failoffs, so predictions are useless.

After I posted i realised who had made the previous post and for him to win it he HAD to beat me in the semi on his diagram. I think he does have a great chance, those chaos are rather brutal.

Megrim beat him by 3. The only really fast teams in his division were both Skaven and I think that Wood Elves are better at turning the ball around than rats.

I think Luckton has gotten a bit better since his first few games. Time will tell! (also I dunno if their are better ball getters in the league than my wrestle dauntless GRs)

Luckton is a good player. I should have hammered the fuck out of his halflings but he managed to make a game of it despite the obvious drawbacks of the flings. This is a guy whose first games were with fucking halflings and who had played less than 50 games by the time we played. With a good non-joke team, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Bleh, just had to get matched up against Lizards right off. Without a doubt the race I hate playing against the most.

I edited it after Falc put up the playoff table because my original match-ups assumed that Kailas and Ramas got one point each for their default draw. When Falc gave them a zero point draw it changed the final scores and thus the match-ups. I didn't change anything else.

Quarter-Finals!
Playoffs:
Ingmar v Comstar - This is a hard match to call however Ingmar got the best of the Amazons when they met in the regular season. I'd give it to Ingmar again but probably after extra time. 2-1 Ingmar. Actual result: 4-0 Comstar Ulysees v ICE - I picked Ulysees to lose his last match and was wrong but I don't think that he'll get past ICE in this game. 4-2 ICE. Actual result: 3-0 ICE AndyDavo v Drogg - The easy prediction is AndyDavo here. Drogg might do enough damage to make ANdy stumble in the semis though. 3-1 AndyDavo. Actual result: 5-0 AndyDavo Carnifex v Ruvaldt - Ruvaldt seems to be unstoppable this season. Carnifex is a good coach but he'll need to pull something special out to get any further. 2-1 Ruvaldt. Actual result: 1-0 Carnifex
Failoffs:
Celer v SirT - Celer's team will dominate this game. I don't expect that SirT will be very motivated to win but it's not a problem he'll have for very long. 4-1 Celer. Actual result: 3-1 Celer Megrim v Krummi - Coin-flip match in my opinion. Should be an entertaining replay to watch. I'll give the nod to the Gentlemens Club though. 3-2 Krummi. Actual result: 2-0 Megrim Kailas v Ezrast - Goblins will have a hard time here (as always). The Elves fight hard despite crippling losses. 3-1 Ezrast. Actual result: 1-0 Ezrast IainC v Cancklebiter - I'm not confident about this at all. If everything goes right then I think my team can hold together long enough to give me the win but Nuffle may have other plans in store. 3-1 IainC. Actual result: 2-1 IainC
Semi-final action!
Playoffs:
Ingmar Comstar v ICE AndyDavo v Ruvaldt Carnifex
Failoffs:
Celer v Krummi Megrim IainC v Ezrast

Semi finals!
Playoffs:
Comstar v ICE - Comstar had a hard time versus my Wood Elves in the regular season and now he's coming up against a much better team and a much better coach. Game of the day in my opinion but I'll say ICE. 4-2 ICE. Actual result: 2-1 ICE AndyDavo v Carnifex - Carnifex has a fearsome team but Andy is the man to beat. A very close game that will likely go to overtime. 3-2 AndyDavo. Actual result: 2-1 AndyDavo
Failoffs:
Celer v Megrim - The Vampires have had a good run but I don't expect them to get further than this. Celer's Elves have all the skills to run rings around the Vamps. I'll be rooting for Megrim though as I already played Celer in the regular season. 3-1 Celer. Actual result: 3-1 Megrim IainC v Ezrast - Bullshit is guaranteed one way or another as two Elf teams clash. Lots of touchdowns and likely an overtime winner. 4-3 IainC. Actual result: 3-2 Ezrast
Finals!
Playoffs:
ICE v AndyDavo
Failoffs:
Celer Megrim v IainC Ezrast
