The Blood Bowl deal is even better for today: 80% off. Get it!
And I stand corrected on Skyrim. -33% is a pretty good deal, considering.

I couldn't resist E.Y.E. for $2.49 after seeing a clip of a guy with a pistol in one hand and a sword in the other as he created 4 clones of himself to fight. Hard Reset is 75% off for $4.99 today! I was hoping it would go on sale after I played the demo. Very fast and fun and notbrown and opposite of Rage. Weee!

That's because you're not chasing the dragon yet. You're just lucky the first hit is not free. The first hit is 33% off.

Just found it up eight posts from yours?
Yeah, that's the one. Though it doesn't mention the price or code, but yes.

Renegade Ops is kind of amazing. Looks and plays way better than it has any right to...
Experiencing this myself. It's a real bargain if you like arcadey top-down shooters. It's kind of like having an updated version of Jackal from the NES, which is a very good thing; I loved that game. I'm playing it with a 360 controller, and couldn't see myself playing it with a keyboard/mouse. The only downside is that it is buggy, and I have encountered two serious issues already after only an hour played. Still, pretty awesome and I'm looking forward to blasting my way through all manner of bad guys. It even had an old-school boss fight with a turret-laden battleship.

IMO Hordes was the only one that was really worth anything as a single-player game. Bioware fanboy says: NWN is probably my least favorite Bioware game other than Jade Empire, but it is close. Didn't like JE because of the gameplay, didn't like NWN because the story/characterization stuff is really half-assed by their standards (until Hordes.)

90% of my enjoyment in NWN was in custom modules and servers other people made because the official stuff sucked; the only reason I bought expansions was for the additional capabilities it gave mods. The remaining 10% of enjoyment was taking Tomi (the annoying cockney halfling hireling) and watching him die when he'd try to disarm the odd "lethal" level trap the game would throw at you. "Oi! 'old on there!" *fails disarm, trap incinerates Tomi* "YEARRGGHGGG!!"

I'm not sure where to ask this so I'll throw it here since it's Steam related: will a European Steam code be redeemable and work in the US? I got a copy of Deus Ex for Xmas but I know it's not an American version since it has a PEGI rating instead of an ESRB, and I don't want to open it up and try it since opened PC games are rarely returnable.

But only if you live in the US. If you're in Australia or Canadia or such, tough shit!
Can this be steam activated? I saw someone mentioning another Amazon game being pretty much Steamworks, if so my NY friend might be buying something for me...

If there's a steam key, it'll work. I have confirmation from a couple of other people who used their Aussie Credit cards and just gave Amazon a US billing address. As it happens, Amazon already have my real billing address, so I'm SOL there. If I had someone email me the key it would work just fine. (Anyone in the US want to email me a $10 Amazon Deus Ex key? I'll paypal the funds right back!) I'm not sure where to ask this so I'll throw it here since it's Steam related: will a European Steam code be redeemable and work in the US? I imagine it'll be fine. I've been gifted stuff via Steam that's not even available in Australia, and I've also bought an uncut UK retail L4D2 and activated it just fine, giving me the international version rather than the gutted AU/DE version.

To pointlessly whine a bit, their format for the sale this year kinda bugs me. No titles anywhere on the store page, just a bunch of pictures which I don't recognize because I don't own the games yet. Today' sale: games about a guy with a gun, stuff blowing up in space (I think), the moon (maybe?), another guy with a gun, another guy with a gun, a guy with a dagger, a guy with a robot suit, Bastion, Sonic, a girl with a sword, a car, and Worms. BUY NOW.
In less whiny news, RF: Armageddon is on the block today. Worth it for $8? It's the only RF game I don't have, and I wouldn't mind closing out the series, though the only one I really enjoyed was Guerilla.

The little buttons underneath the big pictures have the titles, but yeah, it's a bit annoying. From what I understand, it's a decent price for RF:A, though I haven't yet played it myself (bought it though).

Apparently you can create a new profile or something so you don't lose your existing game progress.

I also don't like the main page sale format but if you click to the right or left of the big picture summarizing the sales it will scroll through each game individually. Took me too long to figure that one out.

I'm just checking in out of habit. I've bought nothing this year. Waiting until summer sale for the new batman and SR3, otherwise not much I want. Also, TOR.
We used to play a shitload of sonic in the bandroom, so I was thinking of picking that up. Then I remembered we liked it mostly because it was the game we had.

I bought Bastion a while back, but never got around to playing it. Fired it up yesterday; it is exceptional. If you don't own it you're only hurting yourself.

I've hit point of saturation. I'd buy Solar 2 and Gothic 4, but I'd never really play them. I have too much on my plate already. I bought the X3 xpac the other day for $2.75 on impulse. Realized about 5 seconds after I bought it that I'd never really had the time to play X3:TC and will likely never even load the new one up.

As the resident gothic franchise fanboy....I agree with schild. If you haven't played Skyrim, Risen is a good entry into the franchise. Gothic 2 with the NotR expansion was probably the high point, with Risen being 2nd. But really...just buy Skyrim, it's a superior experience. Hell, I was waiting for this sale to buy Gothic 4 (which is made by a different developer, Risen is the actual Gothic 4). Not bothering with it now.

Everyone I know raves about Skyrim, but every piece of gameplay I've seen looks boring as hell to me. I think I might just be done with CRPGs.

Has anyone tried crafting Coal into something? If so, is it just a random re-draw, like you've completed another objective? Or is there more control, turning Coal into a more specific thing from the pile?
