So not having bought any of the Mount and Blade games before, should I bother with anything but Mount & Blade: Warband?

Nope. Down for some PvP sometime? :p

Honestly, after the last 2-3 years of steam sales, I'm good with there being several days where there's nothing that takes my fancy. Hell, I'm happy with most days being like that, though I did get a couple things on Day 1. My wife put $100 into my account at that point to shut me up over the sale period.

50% of Arkham City is tempting, I've heard it's just as good if not better than the first?

I'd say it's as good as if not better than the first, but the first was also a bit more exciting since it wasn't a sequel.

Hmm, just noticed that Guardians of Graxia game, which is 75% off for this sale.  Looks somewhat tempting.  How is it Schild?  Looks like its up your ally, and Steam says you own it.

Day 1 Purchase - Recettear - So far, no regrets. It was fun and well worth the wait for price drop.
Day 2 Purchase -
Mount & Blade Pack - Alright, time to see if the wait for a full fledged mods and addition is worth it...
Neverwinter 2 - I didn't give the ex-pack a chance so at $5.00 doesn't seem so bad
Arkham City - 50%?! HMMM * Still on the fence - but maybe I will....

Don't. Play the demo for 15 minutes. Thank me later.

... It's full of European humor so no, not that I could detect. Plus they never support left handed mouse (even remapping) and the lighting effects aggravated my video card.

Graxia has a 51% on meta-critic which is at least a warning sign.

Monty Pythons Dungeon Romp? That description sounds better than the actual game obviously is.  awesome, for real

Well, at least I got Neverwinter Night 2 out of the deal and can throw 3 game boxes down from the shelf now.

The forums threads seemed to feel that game was still irritatingly buggy?

This sale has been pretty weak so far.  I'd buy NWN2, but I'd never actually get around to playing it.  I hope Deus Ex HR goes on sale at some point, but there's really not a lot for me to pick up at this point.

Space Marine for 50% is tempting, but I really wish they had knocked it down to under $20.  Not sure if anything else is grabbing me today.

Not a blessed thing I care about on today's sale, at least not at the prices given. Amazon is offering Football Manager 2012 for download @ $19.99 today which is my threshhold for the game, even though I'd like it on Steam.

I thought Space Marine was worth it when I paid full price, but you might be better served in waiting for the spring sale when it might be under $20.

It says it requires Steam account for activation and installation.  I've gotten a few games through Amazon that had that and it worked great.

I just picked up Limbo.. and now I'm wondering if I actually already own it via some Humble Bundle or some such. I should really download all those HB games I've bought in the last year and tie them to steam so I don't buy them again. If I have them.

Deus Ex HR is $9.99 on amazon right now for download.

According to the steam knowledgebase it should activate there too.

Any game that says 'requires steam' in the system requirements on Amazon will activate on Steam. You don't even need to use the Amazon downloader. After you finish buying the game, just select "download later" and if you go to "my game library" you'll have your product key to throw in steam (Games>Activate a Product on Steam).

Renegade Ops is also $3 on Amazon right now, and activates on Steam.

Lol once I bought it I got a $5 off coupon for a digital Amazon game purchase for January, too.  $10 seems the right price.  And yeah, I registered it with my Steam account and currently downloading it through there, too.  Purchase comes with the Tactical Enhancement DLC.

Wow, thanks for the heads up on Deus Ex.  I can't imagine steam selling it for cheaper than that.  And actually, buying it on Amazon right now, it automatically applied a $1.19 discount, so I'm paying a total of $8.80 for it.

Deux Ex on amazon, "Only available to US customers". Though I pretty much expected that, and love the way it lets you hope until checkout.

This probably makes me a bad gamer, but even at $5 a piece, I can't bring myself to actually pull the trigger and buy Mass Effect 1 and 2.  I know they're totally different games than NWN and NWN2 and people keep singing their praises, but I just can't bring myself to trust Bioware after NWN and NWN 2 (both of which are fucking garbage).

Mass Effect 1 was a thing of beauty. Greatly aided by not having the baggage of either D&D or star wars.

I keep forgetting the blame for this turd goes to Obsidian, not Bioware.

Plus, I thought the NWN 1 expansions were pretty solid.  The base game was god awful, however.

Renegade Ops is kind of amazing. Looks and plays way better than it has any right to, and the $3 Amazon code includes both of the recent DLC packs for free.

They really were.  Shadows of Undrentide was better than the original campaign, and being able to take that character over to Hordes of the Underdark was pretty cool as well.  I don't agree that the base game was awful.  It wasn't amazing, but not bad either.  Then again, NWN is one of my favorite games of all time for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was the Persistent World servers you could set up, the toolset, and the DM client, together which made for the best "MMO" experiences I've ever had, arguably.... but I digress.
