Pet doom is sooo nice. Port around to get out of trouble. Drop a magic circle of destruction, send in all your pets. Chill.
OR do the Axis raid and accidentally port into a purple thingie twice.

I had to loot Doom's pet artifacts for loki since he doesn't have any better options and Doom does just as good as a sorceror (and probably also tech based but i haven't tried it).

I play Smashy Spelly Doom. I'm not much of a fan of his pet mechanics, though I'll give them another shot when I hit 60. Right now, ground-punching rocket firing mystical laser shotgun Doom is fun.

I think every doom is fun. His voice acting really seals the deal.

I... am actually considering doing a cosmic prestige on Rocket. I have about 130% hero synergy right now, and a shitload of xp boosts of various types (thx cube shards / pym boxes)... though I have a hunch that even popping all of those together and leveling during cosmic week won't have the effect I'm expecting. Anyone here have any impressions / horror stories to share wrt cosmic prestiging?

Levelled Human Torch last night. He goes down the moment something gives him a firm look, but damage output is good and it was quite fun having to make an effort to not die for a change.
Can't imagine I'll play him at 60 though.

With 200% hero synergy and about 900% from buffs it's about a five and a half hour of actual playtime during cosmic week or the last day of omega. Make sure you have a leveled mkraan and a good active team up. You can cheese out of the early levels by opening a bunch of midtown Monday boxes in the training room right before you do it, the xp orbs stay there for like 10 minutes.

You can cheese out of the early levels by opening a bunch of midtown Monday boxes in the training room right before you do it, the xp orbs stay there for like 10 minutes. Good stuff, thanks! I'm not sure I can stack 900%, but I can stack the 50% cup, the 100% green bar (or iridium bar), the 100% cosmic pentaboost, the 200% summer boost (?), the 50% iridium cup, the 100% omega boost, the 100->200% avenger boost (have to find myself an group for that)... so 700%-800% depending on luck, plus the awesome 7% from the achievement bottles! . I only have one of the omega and summer boosts, though, so have to figure out which would be the best time to pop it. I assume there are 'hell levels' for each hero; for Rocket this is probably before getting his sig. Above that, there seem to be xp enchants on three items (+15%), pot of gold (+10%), Cyclops synergy (+10%) and stacking as much int as I can from pet and omegas. Maybe a mole man medallion too. What is the importance of the mkraan? I have a leveled 70 gungnir, but was planning to use the 70 pot-o-gold instead... is it used for spirit regen? I think I have some low-level artifacts for that, though they are still 24+. I have a hunch getting to cosmic level 24 is a bit slower than normal! e: oh yeah, I seem to remember some guide by ICR (your crazy completely normal guildie with 42+ maxed cosmic characters) a while back, going to check on that too. I'm esp interested about the effects of the new story mode stuff, the rewards seem to be completely insane at normal prestige levels (like... 1 or even 2 levels per story mission without any boosts), and seem to be faster leveling than legandary quests, at least at level 40+

The mkraan is so you don't have to worry about spirit and to carry you damage wise up to like the mid 40s. Spirit issues really slow you down when you are killing non stop.

After a week of wonder, Jean is sadly getting the nerf bat. I suppose not dodging much of anything in CMM might be a bit much to deal with as long as I kept the Kinetic Wave shield up. About the only thing I could guarenteed die to would be that jump thing Hyde does in CIP.

Actually... I'd kinda like to be able to move with WASD and only use the mouse for targeting, and I assum this will be possible with controller support. Moving out of telegraphs and shit (without using a movement power) and reacquiring targets is a huge pain in the ass as it is. e: originally I thought you meant the OTHER kind of controller. I'll leave the original post below for posterity. Pirate Deadpool team-up does a lot of controlling (6sec taunt every 15sec, 5sec screenwide stun every 1min I think). Other than that... eh. AOE stuns, debuffs and slows are ok, but I don't see how temporary confuse/mind control abilities can be helpful when they don't work on bosses and everything else dies in 2 seconds.

Took me three days or so, it was extremely painful, of course I did it to spite someone else (I am also a fan of X-23). I would strongly suggest waiting until you get higher hero synergy. I ended up not playing for like 3 months afterwards because it really burned me out. Mole man medallion is also a good thing to have a few levels of. Don't attempt it unless you have a couple stash spaces free for different level gear for the hero.

So, Jean. Still awfully strong. Just not as wildly OP. Personally I'd put her on a level with Doom, just under Scarlet Witch for just won't die purposes. Her shield won't let you ignore boss mechanics anymore. You do need to dodge out of everything now, but it's strong enough that she won't get creamed by random ancillary damage from dudes firing into a boss fight. She's kind of dull to play though. Her two major powers have a 4 second CD and otherwise you are using her basic spender and her gather up ability. Note that that gather up ability is perhaps the most efficient trash clearer I've run across. I am not concerned in CMM when I run across the Latverian waves, that thing handles them. SW has to disco ball it up to deal with those.
For reasons unknown, I had a hankering for some X-Def. Probably my second best outing, we got to wave 28. After inspecting my "team mates" I'm fairly certain Jean carried them through. So not worth it from a time to loot perspective. You get crap for loot, I don't remember it being that bad. I vacuum everything automagically, so all I saw was 8 cosmic stone boxes, one crappy costume core and a green team up item.

The midtown box thing only works if you get someone else to sit in the training room so it doesn't reset while you use the gourd.

Don't attempt it unless you have a couple stash spaces free for different level gear for the hero. FWIW I pressed the yellow button on day 6 of omega week. Last day of omega + boosts got me to 35ish and the first day of cosmic got me to 54... but now I'm down to the 50% pots with a few avengers boosts (tried to find avenger buff groups, but everyone is 60 and 60-scaled terminals are no bueno) and am out of country until Sat, so no more cosmic week for me. Story was surprisingly good xp at times, but now all I have left is an endless sequence of red terminals. I'll probably only level my dude in MM from here on, because I will prob start stabbing people if I have to see the hood terminal map again... or juggernaut/modok with their obnoxious LQ objective placement. If nothing else, this adventure cured me of any latent desires to farm cosmic terminals ever. AAA++, would cosmic again! e: I also found a 10% moleman medallion, which helped... combined it with the seer uru, pot of gold (post 30ish, Rocket's sig fixes spirit and burst issues) and a ton of INT omega nodes + a 3int pet. Not sure the xp-per-kill enchants are doing much though, considering most xp is from LQs and red terminal end boss kills.

From what i gather it is a technical problem. Loading into a zone with a stash loads everything in there, unlimited stash space would be a nightmare until they fix that.

I can't really disagree with that. Sounds fair to me. Yup thats totally fair. Those bank spaces are probably one of their most consistent money makers as almost anybody who plays this game at all is going to want to buy a couple at some point. But allowing you to buy one extra for spinters is totally reasonable.

I'd be very surprised if they were going with Magik's AvX/Phoenix Force costume as default. That said, I like it. She'll probably be another character I end up with all the costumes for. I suspect her default will be the Chris Bachalo Marvel NOW! design, and a redone version of her New Mutants/Team Up will be available too (maybe with a skirt variant coming later). [EDIT] More info found on the Gaz boards: I believe Pheonix 5 team-up costume variant will be in the Mystic Mystery Box and a Magik variant costume (for when she releases) can be earned through a long-term achievement for Mystic Mayhem.
So a little bit of free and a little bit of paying the bills (and Ryolnir's collectibles).
Sweet stuff! So paywall TU variant and eventual player costume achievement award. Fair enough.

If you mean is it difficult with randoms, then yeah. Also it seems to be bugged cause i saw zero loot of any kind in three runs. At least it goes extremely fast. Edit: at least if you fail the 2 min timer per boss it just ends instead of forcing you to keep going with a horrible group.
