So I started putting points into Omega nodes for Scarlet Witch last night. Had enough to get 4 ranks of Legion. Holy shit. I'd say she was powerful, definitely top 3 ranged hero right now. But activate her sig when you've specced into Legion, she's just utterly insane. I totally understand they've got to look at how her sig works with that Omega node. It's fucking clown-shoes overpowered.

Yes she is strong anyway and her sigs interaction with that is just MUHAHHAHAHAAHAH  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS ACK! ACK! DRILLING AND MANLINESS why so serious?

I don't really dig Scarlet Witch all that much. Like yea, I easily obliterated everything in my path to 1-60, but her playstyle and ability synergies never really clicked for me. I can't exactly put my finger on why either.

Yeah, went on to finish Scarlet Witch last night using the leveling build from the same guy that did the Black Widow build I liked. (Hooray mega Xp bonuses)   I had more fun with Hulk (who I unlocked with splinters on Sunday).

Witch's powers were just sort of... there.  Ok, things disintegrate and guys die quick which is kinda cool but there's no real experience to them. Just a lot of flashing lights and sparkles. Very boring.

That is one nice thing about marvel heroes lots of different options that play fairly different. I was looking for a good solid pure range DPSer and SW fits that role pretty darn nicely now.

I've been enjoying her immensely from 10-50, I love love love the effects, even if sometimes they overshadow ground indicators, and the sound effects are excellent too - the scary woosh-disintegrate! noise of her sig, the crackle and thrum of Chaos Warp. Some of her attacks have a nice weighty feel to them, others floaty - it's a good mix imo. And although she's capable of completely trivialising content, I don't feel nearly as bored or unchallenged playing her as I do with say, Hulk. I think part of it is knowing she can be taken out super-fast if I'm not paying attention, whereas Hulk can literally be played with your face.

Man, I just find Hulk too so samey and boring.  Big punchy guy.

I like Gambit now I have a build that works for me.  It took me a while to get my head around him.  I have a ton of heroes now, most of whom I like.  About to get Magneto to 60.

I didn't say Hulk wasn't boring, I said I enjoyed him more than SW.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

My favorite hero so far remains Silver Surfer, I think. I have a better-geared She-Hulk I use for most things at 60 but Surfer's so much more fun to play. Squirrel Girl and Spider Man hold second place for fun at this time, but neither seems to have the oomph of some of the newer heroes so I don't play them when I want to do 60s stuff.

Meanwhile I still have roughly 1/2 my roster to get to cap, so I'm not overly concerned about endgame stuff anyway.

Squirrel girl is bugged atm, someone posted a 20s ttk using only her basic attack.  Of course you have to stand inside the mob for this to work so it is only viable on training dummys, but she isn't exactly hurting either as long as that bug is around.

I think that bug is only with the christmas costume. All of the sabs seems to land inside you and detonate instantly. With her GLX costume, the sabs spread as usual.

Can confirm as I have the GLX costume as my default and couldn't replicate last weekend. They spread just fine for me.

Juggernaut.

I forgot about Juggernaut. Used him for my first real try at cosmic terminals tonight for the faction missions.  RAWR.

I like the concept of Juggernaut with his build then spend mechanic. It's how the combo point heroes should work instead of including spirit. But I just find his run in circles then elbow kind of boring. Stride is too good as a momentum builder, but it doesn't do anything. As a note, you can play Vision as a more interesting Juggernaut with this build.

Oooh, that looks fun. Vision's ranged build hasn't been exciting, I'll have to give this a shot.

SMASH.

The effete ranged folks aren't as fun for me. I like movement and a lot of melee or summoning, that leads to the big guys and gals who aren't SG.

It's not the Juggs, it's the Venoms. The Venom NPC is already a spazzy jumpy piece of shit that won't stay still and now I get to sort through the other half dozen of them punching things.

I too find it really, really annoying when Heroes and Villains are the same.

I honestly think they should remove the villains as they add the hero version, but I can see why they don't.

Thinking of getting X-23.

She's pretty simple but she's also cheap so it's hard to argue the value.

She was fun for a bit, yeah. Worth the splinters if you've got them, IMO.

I agree, and it sucks that it's because the villain is more popular. From the very first McGuire Spider-Man all you heard was "Where's Venom. Bring in Venom. VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM"

People suck.

I know.  I've ranted about this particular one in the past.  I read all the Venom stuff as it came out, but I'm still mystified as to why he ended up so popular.  Goddamn Sin Eater was a better villain and story and he was just a fucking dude with a shotgun.

I'd settle for giving Juggernaut and Venom npcs a different costume.

http://kg-portal.ru/quiz/marvelheroes2015/

Take this russian personality quiz, get a SPECIFIC hero token depending on your answers.  First time i got human torch so i did it again and got iceman and used that one.  If you actually know russian you can probably game it. Edit: in case it wasn't clear, you can only apply one code but you can just retake the test if you don't like your first result.  As long as codes last. edit 2:

Picking all the bottom answers gives Emma Frost.

Picking all second from the bottom (top if there's only two) gives Human Torch.

Picking all third from the bottom (top if there's only three) gives Captain America.

Good lookin' out. I got an Emma Frost key, since I got an Emma Frost costume in the buy one/get one free thingy.

But that Captain's salami tray was tight, yo. You plump for the roast pork loin, dogg?
