Strange is still fun and I still like him, but his "best builds" require two fucking hotbars to juggle all his CDs.  That's crazy town.

MK was pretty enjoyable as a beatemup but seemed to suffer from "do this ability until his signature is off CD" like the other old heroes do.

I enjoyed Black Panther - he's not OP, but was fun.

In 2002 Marvel and UDON Entertainment collaborated on a Taskmaster mini-series.  The UDON costume was the one used in that series.

One of the achievement rewards that just hit test is a non tradeable version of every rare artifact for defeating the boss enough times.  It isn't a humongous number of times either, 80 i think.

Tough Crowd.   Ohhhhh, I see.

Respecced Storm to something slightly more easy and tearing through the content.  The ICP was Odin Blessed this morning so I literally filled my inventory with God Boxes and then just had an opening Splurge.  New legendary time, but I can't decide who gets one...

Also, couple of splinters away from new random hero.

It's gonna be Hawkeye again, ain't it ?  Fuck Hawkeye...

How many heroes do you have now? I stopped Randoming ages ago, principally because I have a roster half-full of characters I have little interest in and half because if I can avoid owning the Fantastic Four, I'm going to try my best to. I'm already angry they've foisted the fucking worst of that shitpile into my roster because of 1-10 starter char play.

Saving up splinters is pretty easy (or at least I'm pretty patient) so I just pick who I want now. Currently have enough for a 600 and two 400 ES chars; I'll be grabbing Spider-man for when Spider-Gwen costume goes live but my options are very much open otherwise. High hopes for Vision having some new and interesting mechanics to play with.

Also, Hawkeye is blatantly going to get some QoL due to the Avengers movie. They've already retuned IM, Hulk, Thor and Cap. Hawkeye and BW should be brought up to a better standard soon.

One can only hope.

I'll second Matte on the "just save them" advice. It doesn't take that much longer and your chances of getting something you don't want or already have only increase over time. If you really think it's that much of a chore to save, then the next time they sell the splinter boost potions invest in a 10 or 20-pack. I bought a 5-pack last July and only used them when sitting down for a long grind session.  They were great, splinters everywhere!

Speaking of splinters & new heroes I just looked and found I only have 6 characters I don't own. Ghost Rider, Hulk, Invisible Woman, Loki, Nova and Wolverine.  I may have sunk a lot more time/ money in this game than I've realized over the last year.  Yikes.

Oh and to speak specifically :  I don't have enough chaps yet to justify not just splurging random.  The only bad penny was a Rogue after I'd bought one.  Apart from that, it's always been a new one, so I'm good.  If I get dicked or something I may change my habits.

That Odin Weekend was insane.  Utterly and completely insane.

He is pretty fun but you have to want to just play a giant beach ball as that is when he really pumps out damage and his control in that form is a bit wacky.

Got Taskmaster to 60, he really felt like he blossomed in the late 50s. It's not like he was a chore to play, it's just nothing felt particularly great besides his Shield Toss (I do love bounce/ricochet attacks). I think he has similar scaling issues to Hawkeye in that nothing has any real impact till the late game. But it's all irrelevant, he's setting himself up to be pretty capable now, and I don't think I'll be prestiging him any time soon.

Now I'm levelling Luke Cage. Who just gets stronger and stronger... I know he's seen as one of the most over-looked heroes in the game, but when you play him you wonder why no one else does - his defenses are good, he gets a choice of perma-pets (I run with Jessica Jones), he has one of the best moves in the game (Cage Was Here) that does crazy damage over a massive PBAE, gets to pull cars out of his ass to throw at people, great voice-work... just simple, effective fun. I started getting 900k-1mill brutes from Harlem Dropkick in the early 40s. Dude's a goddamn boss.

Cage Was Here is pretty awesome, but he would be better if he didn't miss so much with his finshers. All of his damage is loaded into them and the animations are so long that stuff moves out of the way with regularity, such that I find him really frustrating in a 1v1 situation.

Finisher missing is probably my biggest beef while playing Cage which is why I stuck with Harlem Dropkick because at least it's a cone and has a small ammount of range - Dempsey Roll just missed every time. That said, A few cracks of the belt chain or a Vehicular Manslaughter will put you back up to full combo super quick for another try.

Every other combo fighter that misses a finisher gets to keep their combo points, i dunno why they made luke different.  But yeah, even with that he is pretty damn kick ass.  He just gets better when you gear him out because of all the damage multipliers on his kit.

Seems like they are going far closer to the 'we can't use actor's likenesses' line than previously.

On who? none of the visible faces really look like their actors.  Renner's hawkeye isn't even blonde.

Whelp, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch are pretty much insta-buys, and the mk XLIII Iron Man suit might be a winner, too.

Might just be because they seem to be aiming for something closer to photorealistic, but all of them look to me like someone said, 'make it look like the guy in this film, only slightly off so Disney don't veto'.

Whereas prior film costumes looked like the instructions were 'take this cartoon guy you drew previously, and put him in the costume from this film'.

It isn't bad or anything.

At this point the game's character aesthetic is so all over the shop I've given up any hope of a unified design.
I just want someone to update X-23's costumes; most of them don't even have proper textures, just single colour/two-tone flats that rely on the game's lighting to give any sense of depth.

They are bringing older models up to date slowly, it's just taking forever since they prioritize new content AND there are like a 100 old costumes that need updating.  why so serious?

Thor looks closer to Chris Hemsworth than before cause of the facial hair. Black Widow looks less "exotic" which means she looks more like Scarlett Johansson even though she doesn't look like Scarlett Johansson, if that makes sense.

The art assets for X-23 were made way back before the game launched.
