Do you get all 12 days at once? Or are they just per day? After today's random costume, I'm guessing a random hero box tomorrow to close it out. I was hoping for something like a stash page, but the hero token will be nice.

You have to login each day to get the bonus, they also gave out a free teamup (christmas groot) and a free pet, both of which are super solid rewards.

Yeah, those were great. I was a bit nonplussed with the winter costume decoration thing that came after the team up. It seemed like a step down in cool and that should have come before the pet and the Team-up.

On the pet front, they've been really good with periodically handing those out. I was concerned they were going to lock them up behind a pay wall, but they've given out a couple and there's the Doop for event currency.

I like the snow artifact, hate that they don't just give out the recipe for it instead of just a one-time artifact. Maybe grant a recipe for those to go on Clea where she sells things like Bloodstone runes.

On another note, I finally got around to playing Venom... Heart

I wonder if there might be some regular here who would be so nice and do a quick login with my account for me. I'd really like me a new hero.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Eh, sometimes you're better off trying a new character before hitting 60. I was miserable on Colossus (my first char) but then I switched to my first random heroes MK/Squirrel Girl/Jean. All of which were a lot more fun

At the very least login to get the free new one

I got a Jean Grey, not sure if powerful or not.  I've only got her and Scarlet Witch unlocked.  I'm pretty meh about both.  Maybe I need to buy a Thor.

I'm sorry, Rasix.  Clearly you got the Hawkeye that was meant for me.

I haven't been terribly impressed with Scarlet Witch or Jean Gray, but I haven't really tried Jean Gray since the last time I had points refunded.  So fun to figure out how to reallocate points!

Apologies for that, but Rogue is awesome, so the advice was solid.

I now have Nightcrawler as well.  I have finally figured out Magneto (put points into suck and boom power... and that's it.)

I have no regrets.

I keep wanting to buy Nightcrawler but I have so many physical heroes competing for gear already. I need someone energy-based but just haven't found one that clicks. I think Nova and maybe IW are closest to what I want, but they're so meh right now...

Got Silver Surfer from the random box yesterday (which was a nice surprise since he was 1 of only 9 heroes I didn't have) and he's completely bonkers.  He's 45 now and just ripping pretty much anything apart using a movement build.  Might be worth giving him a go if you haven't already?  Although the gameplay is pretty frantic: constantly dashing to keep up 10 stacks of the damage buff, keeping recon/decon up constantly and throwing in supernova to help with power cosmic management.  Not exactly relaxing gameplay but it definitely keeps you focused while you play.

I got a Nightcrawler dupe, which isn't bad considering his Ultimate is probably the most solid attack in his repetoire (QoL review plz).

Prestiging X-23 now, she is fun as hell to play, as much fun as Psylocke even if she doesn't put out the numbers with her movement build. Skill bloat is a problem, though.

Got all the Guardians stuff to play on a rainy day, too.

Dupe Daredevil.  I'm not a DD fan so I has a sad. Random costume was for one of the 6 heroes I don't have, too. (Luke Cage)

Ah well, they were freebies.

Silver Surfer is interesting.  I just dash around, drop an occasional board sweep, plus one or two other skills, and everything seems to die.  I'm sure that will change in the 30s or 40s.

Nope. He's my favorite, "I need X kills, fast" character even at 60.

I don't use board sweep though. Here's my build:

1 Pt: Cosmic Beam, Refracting Beam, Hyperspace Sidestep, Temporal Recall, Cosmic Resonance, Comet's Tail, Board Dash
20 Pt: Subspace Rift, Deconstruct, Power Unconquered, Electromagnetic Flux, Event Horizon, Supernova, Polarity Field
Remainder: Reconstruct

Things just melt. Even after the "nerf" to EMF I find it works great. People were just way too spoiled by how good it was before.

Tried out the free version, no Thor, so went with Punisher. It is pretty cool, but some of it isn't explained on what the gear does at times. And I got a free Thing with the winter fest loot. Plays way better than Diablo 3 :)

*edit* derp, hit the wrong button,
Beside the main form, any other place to check out guides?

If you can't find it on the main forum, then here would probably be your best bet.  The main forums aren't a total shitshow when you drill into the topic/ character-specific forums, unlike most online games.

Had to clear out my bank thanks to Festivus giving me TOO MUCH LOOT while grinding X-23 up so I've got a 400-600% (depending on the consumables I'm using) XP buff.  I forgot just how much things slow down in the 50s.  Hit 50 within three hours, then spent another 2 getting up to 57. Oy!

That said, she's incredibly fun. Might shelve her now that things are so slow and get Magneto, Venom or Mr. Fantastic up there.  Rogue hasn't proved as much fun as I'd hoped.

I enjoyed Rogue and I am LOVING Magneto.  Nightcrawler also fun and I did a wee run of Captain America to level 10, enjoying smacking people with my bouncy shield.

Was looking for a game to waste small increments of time in, and decided to try this out. Friend convinced me to create the account a while back, but had never actually played or even picked a hero before (iirc it crashed immediately on older PC iteration).

Messed around a little with it after the holiday, a couple of times in brief groups with my RL friend, but am not sure if my click reaction is good enough anymore (+carpal-clicking/sitting cooldowns needed).

My first created hero was Hawkeye, who actually is exactly the style I like, ranged dmg/support, and I think as of today I claimed the 5th daily log in along with reaching level 15. I did unfortunately spend the "free" holiday character and the one granted for dailyreward2, and might've screwed myself picking Silver Surfer and Starlord. (Did I?)

I had played at my friend's house on his PC (with his son) back months ago, and definitely had complained about same initial things bugging me when playing now.

Firstly, there are not enough hotkeys, so you are either forced to build around certain powers, or have some that you can't use on one hotkey bar. This definitely could be handled slightly better, IMO, and does tend to make it too easy to cripple an early character by spending points incorrectly. There also might be too much pay-to-play to blame for this and many (many, many) other overly complex systems and "currencies" that I see. Definitely not as elegant as Path of Exile, to me.

Secondly, for ranged, why do some attacks not hit on the very edges of the screen? Every other Diablo-esque clone I ever remember playing did not have half the attacks stopping & not hitting enemies I could easily see.

Thirdly the collision and cover type aiming of the world is really, really bad. Like doorways where I should be able to shoot through, or slopes where I SHOULD hit people above/below yet my attacks do notAdamnThing. Also very frustrating getting STUCK on things, having the screen jump repeatedly, and that kind of thing almost gave me an epileptic seizure.

I could see this being fun in small increments, with a group though, and definitely would want to look for group members on my 30-45 minutes of clicking. Is there a "super-group" for f13? If anyone wants a group or to add me, I'm in game as taolurker.

Got a pretty cools "Cosmic" Bow (mmm invuln proc effect) drop using a rarity potion, and someone dropped a level 60 ring at the hub that I picked up that is probably gonna collect dust in my over small bank until I delete or drop for someone else eventually.

Surfer and Star Lord are both great. Use a board dash build on Surfer otherwise they are just samey ranged energy blasters.

For the hotkeys issue there are two thing you can do.

Firstly you can assign the F1-F6 keys to switch your LMB and RMB powers (not sure if this is explained in the game or not).  Left-click on either of the button slots which will pop up a window with all powers that can be assigned to that button (which may not be all your powers as there used to be some weird restrictions, not sure if they still exist) then hover over the power you wish to assign and press the F key you want to use.

The second way is a bit more complicated as it involves some minor .ini file editing but it works fairly well.  Full instructions are available in this thread.  I use method 2 for the temporary switch on alt key.  It's by no means a perfect solution as you can't see cooldowns on powers on the alt bar without switching to it but without it some characters like Dr. Strange are almost unplayable.

A hotbar update is on the to-do list for the devs but when it arrives is anyone's guess.

There is only one or two heroes who should need more hotkeys, most abilities are just different ways of doing damage.
