Good bye sweet Cosmic event and oh so wonderful Halloween Treat buffs. You will be missed, but some of that will be assuaged by the multispecs coming today. That should be neat. The only heroes I will definitely multispec at this point are Squirrel Girl and Ghambit to try their melee specs and Rocket to try the turret forest. Are there other heroes with significantly different specs that might be worth trying?

Is there a good/fun gun-toting hero?  A good team-up synergy - Falcon or Domino?

Did I mention that for a game that is completely dependent on me buying things voluntarily they do a spectacularly shitty job of providing information on what I might want to buy?

They really do, particularly for team-ups. They offer no information at all about what they do. You have to get that all from the forums.

The last time I asked about a general team-up, the recommendation was Domino.

Anyway for "gun-toting", Rocket is fun and his gun spec is good, but it doesn't really hit the gun-toting tick in my mind. Starlord is in the same boat. Cable is as well to a lesser degree. Deadpool does the gun thing, but everything on the forum pointed away from that so I went with the swords thing. Black Widow might hit that itch, maybe?

If you only want to buy one team-up, Domino is the most generally min-maxy choice for top-end performance. Groot is a reasonable defensive tradeoff if you're okay with sacrificing damage.

Specific builds may benefit slightly more from other team-up choices; full details are at https://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/146043/new-all-team-up-power-screen-shots-now-with-more-details-work-in-progess if you want to go full-on stats nerd.

Ms Marvel is my first choice, want to see how melee build plays (I have always played the energy build).

Rogue is a no-brainer for Multi-Spec.

I'll have at least one different build for Gambit. (Farmbit vs. DPS Max)  I'll probably also try a few of the different builds for Spidey since I have an opportunity to and a ton of uniques for him.

Maybe an AOE vs. Single Target for a few others, but so many have been running good in their main spec I see no reason to try.

Yeah thanks, I'm kinda leaning towards Cable, but Star-Lord looks intriguing - just wondering if anyone had any experience and strong opinions one way or another.

Star lord is fun and highly effective, cable is not bad and his teleport is highly useful but he is a pre review hero and it shows.

SG, Ironman, Ms.Marvel, Emma, Psylocke, all of those you could respec and have an entirely different playstyle.

Ooh, yeah Emma I hadn't thought of.  I'm not loving her minion build ATM and stopped playing her. I should multi and try out one of the others.

Agree with Ironman also, and Rogue obviously.  Rogue is actually the only hero that I could see myself wanting more than 3 specs.

Just did the melee build with Ms Marvel and I'm kinda bummed that Omega's aren't a part of multispec yet (they said they planned to add that).  I can swap out items easily enough, but I can't swap out omega's without a respec.

So, foundationally I'm excited that they released multispec, I just think it's going to be awhile before it's what I want

Rogue and multi spec is reportedly borked because the powers are known/forgotten completely.

So you want the Stash thing exclusive to your character?  Fortune cards are just loot right?  Trying to figure out the Juggernaut thing.

If you are going to buy stash space a character stash space can be used to store all "any hero" uniques that are not bound to anyone, any uru forged item, rings, and any insignia that character can use.  A crafting stash can be used to store runes and costume cores.  There is no point in filling up the more expensive "general" stash tabs with any of those things.  And yeah do not buy fortune cards, buy specific boosts if you really want some.

I respecced yesterday because I wasn't enjoying the pet build I'd been using up till now. I'd complain more about spending the retcon so close to the multi-spec release if I didn't have 50 of them...

Anyway, since I picked up the badass in black Marvel NOW! costume for her which looks great when you use Diamond Form, I decided I'd actually try a hybrid melee spec. Enjoying it a lot more, though still finding my feet. Spirit woes abound - everything she does is so costly... she does, however, lay down a serious hurting. Bladed Spin Kick coupled with Diamond CRUSH is mean on STs and anyone tries to ruin your party, Dread and KBM and let hell sort 'em out.

I would be lying if I said I understood most of what was going on.  Not reading quest text, barely looking at items.  Elbow drops, charging and stomping.  I am guessing at some point I start taking damage?  Only level 11, but it is pretty much

All pets are the same, you make them useful by feeding them items. You can get one for eternity splinters and one for cosmic worldstones during cosmic week.

So there are pets in the store ?  They're not 'cosmetic' ?  If I purchase a wee Ultron, I can teach him shit ?

I love my Throg more than I should.  There!  I said it!

He has +3 Durability, but I can't get the cosmic enhancement to roll anything beside +X to pets or +1 to ultimate.  Really fucking annoying.  Hopefully the 4th time is the charm.

Is there a secret way to disable other character's effects?  I don't see anything obvious in the options settings.

While I rather like the animations particle effects they have designed for each character when solo... having them all explode on screen basically makes any boss fight a random series of aoe button mashing for me - not that it matters much in the end, but still... something in me dies just a little when I have to admit that my superhero is not special and may or may not actually be doing anything.  It has nothing to do with performance... just wish there was a toggle so I could actually see the target(s).

I figured that was a feature, along with the pixel-hunt for good loot afterward.

It's a checkbox in the graphics options that does exactly that, turns off all the effects but your own and enemies. I don't see how you could play midtown without it.

I don't know whether it's sad or hilarious that Squirrel Girl seems to mow down the bad guys better than just about every hero I've played thus far.  Non-stop mayhem, no need to worry about spirit or health or really anything besides standing back and sending in the army of squirrels.

Pretty sure I was in Juggrassic Park last night when I figured out what midtown madness was.  Gained 5(?) levels and my entire inventory + Bank is full of purples, cosmics, uniques, boxes and strange other things I have yet to understand.  Things like sentinel limbs and runes.  I think I have 4 uniques?  Not sure how that works, do you have to dump lower level copies to get higher ones?

Are items from treasure boxes level locked when they drop or do they level when you open them?

7 Unique boxes and 4 Whirly-gigs later I finally got Tippy-Toe's Itty Bitty Bow last night.  Let the savagery begin.

The items from the midtown boxes and fortune cards scale to the level you open them on, probably a good idea to save them for 60.  Fortune cards specially since they can drop uniques with challenge bonuses.
