I would really appreciate it if someone would clue me in on how to better manage psylocke's spirit during early leveling.

Not sure if any of us have leveled her up since her rework. Do you have Psi-Thrust yet? Psionic Assault ticks will trigger the proc even if they're not on the same enemy.

The Halloween thing is pretty fun. It's kind of annoying you need to push up SIF to get the buffs, but I suppose that's how they need to sell some consumables.

I've been leveling her since her review.  Generally I generally have great success with spirit management in the early levels using Maht's Arrowhead, which is an artifact you get from one of the Savage Lands missions.  I gives you a chance to cause a bleed DoT on an enemy when you hit, but more importantly it gives you spirit whenever any bleed causes damage.

So on my Psylocke I have the arrowhead, an epic Sabertooth medallion (which has a chance to cause a bleed) and I was lucky enough to get her slot 1 unique, which also has a chance to cause a bleed DoT.  Haven't had any spirit issues on her since.

Over and out.

Agreed.  I'm really enjoying the general direction the game's been going in since I first started playing.

To follow up on the Nightcrawler talk, as much fun as he was to play, having tried some other characters as well since, I do think he needs some work.  It seems to take a lot more effort to do stuff with him than it does with most of the other characters I've played so far.  It's a shame, because I think they nailed the feel of the character down pretty well.

There's been some severe power creep since we showed the nightcrawler love, he used to be pretty decent.  Now that characters like Rogue and Psylocke are out there he quickly falls behind.

Who would have thought Ghost Rider and Psylocke would be top tier?

Ghost Rider is decent now?  Did this just happen, I was so excited about the character at first but he just seems to do shit damage.

Yes, just this last patch.  He is amazing now, penance stare is probably the best sig in the game now.  I can get a cosmic boss to half and carebear stare the rest in one shot.

Ghost Rider really is nice now.

For the advance packs, are those generally all of the heroes for the next year or just the majority of them? Speaking of, is the villain pack likely to be the last of the heroes for this year?

This game has managed to make me part with a stunning quantity of cash.

Majority of them.

This was Advance Pack 1, I believe:

Ghost Rider
Doctor Strange
Invisible Woman
Juggernaut
Magneto
Moon Knight
Nightcrawler
Psylocke
Silver Surfer
Star Lord
Venom

Heroes not included:

Mr. Fantastic
Nova
Rogue
(whatever else comes out this year not in the Advance Pack 1 list)

Ghost Rider was the deluxe edition bonus hero for Advanced Pack 1.  Rogue and Mr. Fantastic were included in the Pack as the two TBA heroes.  Nova was originally supposed to be in some kind of ultra pack from when the game was originally launched so he wasn't included in the advanced pack.  Taskmaster was a 'surprise' hero and X-23 is just an extra 200 splinter hero being released this year.

Over and out.

I might put Thor in the same tier as Deadpool and Scarlet Witch. I took Deadpool to 60 mostly in Midtown so he wasn't that bad. His real problem is that he only has one spec and even that's underwhelming powerwise. I'm cruising through the 50s on Scarlet Witch. She was odd in that she dipped in power once she hit ~30. In hindsight, re-specing for the discoball thing was not the wisest option. Her big problem is she's a spirit hog and has terrible regen options. Combine that with the wonky nature of her targeted AoE dots and you can waste alot of spirit throwing out DoTs and missing.

However you look at either of them though, they have nothing on Punisher. That guy's just terrible. I'd do Hawkeye again rather than take Punisher any farther.

Yeah, having punisher as one of the starter heroes has to be costing them players.

Hawkeye is a stone-cold damage god at 60. You just have to get there. Why his powers scale SO badly during the early levels I'll never know; Explosive Arrow with plenty of extra ranks at end game is devastating. It's embarassingly bad for the majority of the time it takes to level. Too long spamming Nerve Gas and running around like a headless chicken. Getting Stark Claymore sig is a huge boost, though. Fire'n'forget 'absolutely, positively' room cleaner.

But yeah, vaguely geared at 60, Hawkeye puts out insane numbers. Just try not to get hit. At all.

As for Psylocke; no idea how she was to play before the review, but what she is now is awesome. Like, off-the-leash terrier of psychic ninja-doom. Faces are melted. And then cut off. Spirit is definitely a drag early on, I've fortunately got a L25 defense uru-forged to use now I've prestiged my Psylocke, which I put River of the Soul on. Things are a lot better now.

Apparently Psylocke is STILL bugged and should be doing more damage, assassinate is not getting the 100% bonus damage from psionic projections for 2s after using it like she should.

Each phase of Dr. Doom leaves its own set of invisible circles. Getting an omega level phase 3 when half the map is secretly lava is ACK!

Haven't tried Doom yet for the fire circles, but it looks like they just turned the Power Cosmic off. They cast it, but it never shows up at all.

Yeah it is hilarious that they just sneakily turned it off when they realized it was not such a minor problem and they shouldn't have patched it in.  Also i dislike the midtown change on principle even if it leads to better gameplay.

What midtown change? The one where it's a Monday thing instead of a week long "my god I'm sick of this" experience?

The one where you get a midtown to yourself unless you go in a group instead of it being a shared open area.
