And supposedly they're also finally fixing that trenchcoat so it doesn't stick to the back of her legs.

Over and out.

Is Hawkeye just generally weak or is he someone that hits power overwhelming levels when geared? I'm following what looks like the only current guide and good lord is he weak.

No, he sucks.  He sucks so bad I couldn't even drag him to up 30 with the mega xp boost the other week. Playing him is a chore and I feel bad inflicting myself on groups so I stopped after level 10ish.

I powered him to fifty on the strength of the Midtown boss XP drops and he's all mid 40 uniqued out at the same time, but he still sucks. He has to rail into blues. Compared to my terribly played Doctor who's all, "What just happened there? I don't really know but everything just died all at once."

Hawkguy is one of those champs thats kind of a single target auto attacking type hero in a game where that kind of build is bad. He has some aoe and his damage is not to terrible but he just needs to work a LOT harder to do what he does than any of my other heros.

Start with gas arrow. Hit with flame explosion , then first basic or 3rb.  Hawkeye is extremely spirit dependent.  River of souls helps a ton.

Yeah, I got that. By 30 I was concerned, but I figured I'd drop an Odinborn on him to try. It helped and I lucked into a replacement drop, but even then he just hits like a wet noodle. If Exploding Shot doesn't crit, it can take two to drop a common trash mob. A spirit spender taking two shots to kill any white trash mob is terribad. Tear Gas Arrow is inexplicably an indirect fire animation so it takes forever to land. I will say his Signature is nice, though the 45 second CD is somewhat puzzling.

He is one of the few heroes who is neither fun to play nor effective.  I do love that every single other hero, even Kate Bishop, makes fun of him.

Vendor leveling. I have my crafter and enchanter at 20 now. Somewhere upthread, someone said to level the gear vendor before the weapon vendor. So, I leveled that guy to 17 or so. I had call to google why I was doing that and found that I was supposed to be refreshing their inventory once they hit 15 looking for things. And because I'm remarkably lucky in dumb spots or the RNG is not that bad, I got both the rarity and the credit drop recipies from my gear guy in short order.

My weapon guy is around 10 now. I understand that they have artifacts randomly once they hit 15. Is this something I need to be "farming" on a regular basis or is the RNG particularly bad?

I've never heard of anyone getting an artifact that you already don't have way too many of sitting in your stash already.  I've gotten Ziggurats of Kargul, xerogen crystals, super soldier serums and just now i got a non advanced metasensory array.  I just refresh it when i'm at the vendor anyways, wouldn't think of trying to "farm" it.

Damn, DD. What are you feeding him that he's leveled so fast? Just farming midtown and the purples/ blues off of bosses?

I've only got my enchanter and crafter to 15/17 each. I'm going to blame altisim and constantly feeding low-level gear.

Every delivery manifest is good for 1k XP. I had a fair bit of luck with crap versions of whatever those insignias are that turn in for big xp. And I just turn in crap tons of stuff. I spent several nights farming fruitlessly for Sinsters Cuirass during the doop thing with the double cosmic boss loot. I also turn in the dumb artifacts I can't see a use for, but will regret later. I specialize in that actually.

Shit I didn't think to use the manifests. I've been cashing them out instead for all the useless, useless money.

I wind-up turning-in everything when I'm on Strange or Surfer. I'm at the point on both of them that I need very specific drops which are upgrades to current drops. Hooray for having received lots of unique boxes that I never opened until I hit 60.

My difficultly must definitely be that I now own a shit-ton of heroes, (seriously, I have a problem.)  that I'm leveling, so the level 1-30 drops do almost nothing to level them.

I'll farm cosmic on strange and surfer next week, thanks for the tip.

Probably wanna get it done before the pet stuff comes in because after you'll be using those drops leveling your pet.

Pet leveling is apparently very short though, on the order of one week.

Are there pets to acquire? I've only seen the prestige ones and I don't even know how to prestige.

Okay my brain may officially explode when rogue comes out. Looking at the full list of stuff she can steal is pretty crazy. I may wind up making the evil mole squirrel rogue and go for some weird pet rogue build which looks pretty possible. She can get some really solid pet buffing passives and she can get pets on dash via loki, squirel pets that summons squirels and procs squirrels and two mole dudes from moleman. Throw in a good boss killer movie and a good basic like wolverine claws or cyclopes bouncing beam and it could be pretty hilariously funny.

There has to be a way to make something very OP with the Malekith power.

Was trying her out on the TC this morning, and Chaotic Hex spam with Hawkeye/Punisher/Wizard passives seems legit. Should hold me over until the SW review.

Something i noticed while testing rogue this weekend, way points are account based now.  Looking at the rogue skill list i see several possible gimmick builds that should be highly powerful. Fangs of Faralla + large amount of cooldown abilities should own, a high hp build based around the malekith and blob attacks (there is also three stealable hp passives plus her ms marvel passive), full pet build looks incredible, and a boss killer triple hybrid that relies on power doop power cosmic and doop ectoplasm for massive boosts.

Surfer is getting a heavy swing on the ole Nerf bat for EMF.

Looks like the non-combat pet thing and maybe the currency tabs are this week too?

He's crazy good, I can see why it's happening. Shit just melts for my AOE powers as it is, including yellow elites.  If I even bother to activate EMF bosses go poof.

Does Rogue need to steal powers each time you activate her, or do they stick around until you dump and regrab one?

The powers you grab you keep forever until you manually choose to unlearn them. So if you find a good layout you can keep it as long as you wish.

Farmbit, the farming Gambit:

Max:
- Street Sweep
- Savate Expert
- Royal Flush
- Dead Man's Hand
- Kinetic Control
- 52 pickup
- Sticky Fingers
- Raging Cajun

1 point wonders:
- Bo Vault
- Cheat Death
- Sleight of hand

Why use Gambit for farming? A) He has a RiF passive B) Almost all his uniques have RiF and/or SiF on them, C) He is tons of fun to play, D) He kicks ass.  Paint the area with Street Sweeper, it's a great energy dot and it procs Savate Expert which keeps you alive.  Royal Flush is your trash clear, it also applies vulnerability so drop it every 10 seconds on bosses too.  Raging Cajun + 52 pickup on bosses, finish them off with Dead Man's Hand.  Bo Vault is awesome for positioning and for the knock down, it also triggers savate expert, and it is just plain fun to use (sometimes i just use it as my movement power).  You want to stack energy artifacts since all your real damage is energy, use a gungir or CCR, a pot of gold is technically fine for a farming character but you give up way way too much damage for just 10% RiF/SiF compared to his other slots.  If you have a Destroyer energy rifle use that instead of his rifle, at least until next patch when it is getting buffed and it might be better.  Use his cloak and boots and the lucky deck for slot 5, if you have a hot dog cart that is way better than the blind fold so use that, but the blindfold will do in a pinch.
