He's awful at everything, I'm up to 50ish now, it doesn't get better.
Yup its a bit of a slog with him but his synergies are really handy working on other alts so just stick it out and move on once you max him. Oh he hit 60 already, Psionic shotgun and a Jugg medallion can salvage any character.  I thought they nerfed the hell out of shotgun. |

Even nerfed its more then enough to wipe away trash packs. It's 60k damage at 60. It used to be like 300k or something stupid. It's cheap on omega points, pretty big AE, good proc rate. |

As for Cyclops, he would become infinitely better if for his review they totally rework the leadership tree to add in some 'summon x-men' powers similar to Cage's 'summon heroes for hire' powers, so he has time to actually use his other optic blast powers. Optic Devastation would be awesome for clearing trash if he had something to distract the enemies long enough to use it.
Cyc doesn't have items that do that? My Dr. Strange is a blast AND has tons of minions. He's got the unique that summons Mindless ones, Sinister's medallion and the one that summons a sentinel. I can get a virtual army going on top of Strange's already awesome powers. FUN. |

None of Cyclop's skills or uniques have any summons on them, so using the Sinister medallion just for the proc would be kind of a waste. Could use an active team-up, but that's not really enough on its own.

Like I said, 'or something stupid'. Fooled around a bit more on Frost and while the pets are neat, it seems to be slightly superior to just not use them and take advantage of the 'explode your pet buff'. +15% damage and mitigation forever or until you charm a new pet. I also dived into a Diamond Melee/Tank build, seems perfectly viable if a bit dull. You can go full blown tank, have the mitigation and cooldowns and taunts and shit. I'll see how that pans out at 60 though, only 45ish at the moment. It SHOULD work though, the diamond power seems better for tanking then say Ironman's shield power. I wouldn't main her, but a perfectly fine character it seems. |

I finally pushed through and got Cyclops to 50. Now I never have to use him again. I'm also, considering picking up one of the Guardians of the Galaxy packs. Not sure which one yet. And yes, Groot looks fucking terrifying on the log in screen.  |

You have to interact with other players about as much as Midtown Madness. Which is to say, not in the slightest. You're dumped in a group of randoms and told to hold your own against progressively stronger waves of mobs and bosses. No one ever talks. It's just DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY, until you can't DESTROY no more. The only time X-def is bad is if you get an afker or somehow been lumped with 3 Black Widows and ...uh... ...another Black Widow. Bring your AE game and you'll be fine.

I might pick up the "catch up" package. I'm waiting for the Rocket 52 to see how it goes, but I already have two costumes for him from Bogos and he should be fun. It would be nice if they made a team up that's better to have out than in. Not sure I want to pay $whatever for teamups that I never see. |
