I'd use the ARMOR drives on the random unique box, you should be able to get two of them which should get you a nice start when you hit 60. The crimson box from the conch shells contains the rare drop artifacts from every terminal boss, out of the 12 only 1 is bad and 1 is mediocre, the rest are very good.  The gem of the kursed is probably the most expensive item in the game right now.

Expensive? Is there some sort of AH or is this old school drop things on the ground trading?

The currency used is "blessings" which cost 100 odin marks, so basically you trade things for grind time.  A gem of the kursed is worth at least 12 blessings, and probably up to 18 on a good roll.

Keep in mind there's a recipe to reroll attributes on artifacts, so don't undersell ones with bad stats.

I don't know how much SIF people are stacking but I don't find nearly the ammounts of ARMOR drives, Conch Shells or Hot Dog parts others claim to

After the ARMOR drive event I have maybe 130, and as of playing yesterday and early this morning I have about 80 Conch shells and enough hot dog parts to make 5 Fully Loaded ones.

The Hot Dogs aren't an issue for me, I managed to make the unique they're traded for last time (which you absolutely do want, it's a very nice bit of gear), but having another wouldn't be bad.

Still don't get how people can say these things fall like rain, though. Half the time I swear they're taking place of an Eternity Splinter drop, when they drop.

Leveling my Iron man and the first 25-30 odd levels are awkward and sloggy. Then I got to put points into Adaptive Defenses and my health/shield/spirit cycle went from annoying and limiting to fire and forget.

He plays like a linear scaling Ms. Marvel. Instead of having resources ramp up relative to the amount of shit I am fighting, I just have one (fairly high) resource regen rate to manage. A lot less tanky then I'm used too, but otherwise remarkably similar hybrid styles.

At less than 100 for the weekend so far, I'm not seeing any reward boxes in my future either: 250RIF/150SIF

I think they tweaked the drop rates on conch shells. I was off Friday for the weekend so I spent a fair bit of the day playing. I was getting double and tripple drops two to three times between splinter drops. Yesterday after work, I was only getting the occasional double drop and generally getting shells only slightly faster than splinters.

Midtown is like crack for me, so that netted 2-4 drives every 3 minutes as each boss drops one.

This morning I had my best drop rate in x-def. I'm not sure these things are affected at all by RIF/SIF though. I think it's timers, bosses, and chests.

SiF definitely affects any event drops, anything that is pink is affected by SiF.  I think that was the reason for the color change.

I had a crazy X-Def chest last night. Two uniques and an artifact. My lvl 58 Daredevil is completely character specific 50+ unique at this point. He's had crazy luck.

He was something of a slog until ~30 and at 50+ he's good fun and incredibly durable if you only use the healing finisher.  About the only thing that will kill me anymore is missing the Rhino or Juggernaut telegraph. Rebounding Club is insanely good.

Pretty sure you can add Man-Ape to the instant death list. I duoed the Man-Ape one shot last night (we were L60 Nightcrawler and Cyclops) and I've never been taken down so many times. It didn't help that half the time his telegraphs completely lied. The Red Circle of Doom would appear, I'd BAMF out of it, and he'd land on my head where I BAMFed to. Or he'd be readying his spear throw, I'd get behind him, SPLAT; miracle-speared.
Maybe there's an element of lag at play, but I really dislike the mechanics of that fight. A ridiculously drawn out run-around versus a boss that only deals in one or two-shotting powers.

The indicator thing sounds like lag or a bug with teleporting or something. I've never experienced that.

The trick to one-shot mechanics is to be Ms. Marvel. They stop being one-shot attacks then.  why so serious?

I agree the indicator sounds like lag. Last night me and my group were experiencing quite a bit of lag in Bovinheim and a few different cosmics so there probably was something going on server-side. As for the one-shot, part of that is  also the fact that NC and Cyke are really squishy. NC makes sense, I never understood why Cyke was so damn squishy though.

I love playing NC but I do question his viability as a L60 main. Live fast, die fast makes for some super intense and challenging plays but when the game mechanics bottleneck you that hard with the huge hits, I'd rather spend more time with a char that can deal with it, like Ms. Marvel. Almost 60 on her, and she's a beast. Only Rhino/Juggy charge in MM has ever taken her down.

Because he's also a possibility for a melee hero with a leader/buffer role, but he has the worst survivability of almost any hero. I can't think of one of the top of my head that has worse survivability than he does, though there probably are a couple but I'd doubt those heroes also do less dmg. I don't think he should be a tank, but he should at least have a good margin of survivability more than pure casters or heroes like NC.

Lag has been awful lately.  Low level MM is an exercise in getting one shot of out nowhere.  Being Cyclops doesn't help either.  I'm really glad I got the teamup so he doesn't get faceplanted so easily.

For boss rushing? Probably Task, Hood, Jugg, Kurse, Shocker.

The longest ones are Hyrda, AIM and Doom.

Mob density is Jugg, Sinister, Hood.

Legendary grinding, I find most success with Midtown and Terminal quests, I reroll anything on the overworld/story. The only hiccup is if Midtown doesn't spawn the mobs I need. I run the Doom legendary as well, but a lot of people reroll that one too.

I got Iron Man in my last random box. He's odd and I'm not sure I like him. He has everything opened up by 30. Quite a change from Daredevil who gets his last ability at 54 I believe. He's a beast on trash and packs, but is a paper tiger on bosses so far. I do like the way his power works, using shield discharge to refill his spirit pool. That's one thing I don't like about Daredevil, he has no good spirit regen mechanic.

Heroes that have had their '52' review get their last regular power at 47 and their ultimate power at 52.  Any hero that still gets all their powers by level 30 hasn't had their review yet.  All reviews should be done by the end of the year.  Rocket Raccoon, Cyclops and Jean Grey are the next ones up.  Iron Man will probably be one of the last ones.

Yea, Ironman's 52 is more of a formality then a huge overhaul. He's already very solid all around and has a fair variety of builds. 'The one off' will be his signature, the devs have said as much.

I find his biggest limiter is his shield/resource mechanic, once the damage really ramps up the shield just drains out so fast, which really prevents him from going a true tanky style. He just can't take the heat in the end.

I'm not 60 yet, but so far I don't have any issues on bosses. Drop Jericho, Drop Missiles, Punch with fists, repeat. Zoombini away when the red arrow/circle shows up and DFA back in. His uniques seem to give a LOT of ranks into his basic boss punch attack, I'm at like 1 + 20 ranks of it. Pulse bolt to stun shit when required.

Really? That was actually one of the things I kind of like about him. It's much easier to build to something when a key ability isn't buried 50 levels away like Daredevil.

Apparently people didn't like not getting any new powers from 30 to 60 so all reviews include spreading out the powers up to 52.

The leveling curve was very different at release, where hitting 30 was considered 'the end' for most players and only the crazy people would hit 60.
