I was trying to do some of the Civil War stuff but I could never understand the schedule and things kept resetting before I had a chance to complete things and then it disappeared before I had a chance to do some final turn ins.

The Civil War stuff will apparently come back in the future as a rare event, so you can keep your tokens if you want.

The CW event was one of those things that sounds better in theory then practice. I mostly ended up skipping over it too.

Cosmic ICP is dropping all the loot. All of it.

Farmed enough cake slices for nearly 2 more cakes in like 2 hours. 

Also filled up like a half a dozen cosmic and purple pet bars, which was nice.



You get the free stuff by logging in and farming cake, then spending cake at the vendor in Avengers Tower. I dunno if Doom is the MOST OP, but he is very very strong and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

Cosmic ICP is dropping all the loot. All of it.

All of the loot. The loot itself isn't all that great, but all of the boxes and whatnot sure to tickle the right part of my brain. The cake pieces are also nice for the "free" lvl 80 legendaries.

Y'all aren't kidding. I went into ICP and popped a bunch of random SIF boosters I had lying around... oh boy. Basically, my inventory fills during one boss event cycle (and sometimes a single boss wave), and I've legit missed waves entirely because I was screwing around in my inventory trying to mass-open cosmic boxes and pick up their drops... or in some cases, just cleaning up after ONE wave, like Hood vs Kingpin or Loki and pals. And eventually after 2-3 cycles my inventory fills with uniques, cosmic reliquaries, etc. so I gotta spend a few minutes back at base. This must be what heaven/hell feels like in a Diablo game.  

(what are the best uses of the reliquaries / cosmic reliquaries, btw? Just pop them on alts hoping for good cores?)

I just open them as soon as I get them, sometimes you get a good piece of team-up gear or a fancy medallion. Otherwise it's very hit or miss.

Good thing you get like a dozen per wave

Only for feeding to my pets, and that's automatic  I meant the worldstone boxes that seem to be dropping like candy (you need to pick up the worldstones by running over them, too....)

Then again I never saw anything on the worldstone vendor I really wanted, so it's a wash.

Just do a few waves of hightown once you hit 15ish and get your hero uniques instead.

I've found Hightown pretty hit and miss for low level uniques. They don't seem to start showing up reliably for me until the mid 40s for some reason.

I've been playing this game regularly pretty much since it's release and I "only" have 930'ish according to steam. 




That hasn't been my experience at all in regards to Hightown. I dive in around 15-20, do a few waves and usually get a full set or near enough to it.

Aaaand I don't see how anyone would be able to figure that out.   

What you need to do is first be level 60, then go to S.H.I.E.L.D Hellicarrier and talk to nick fury. You will start the chapter 10 story that will lead you into Hightown.

If you are level 60 you get a mission to go speak to Nick Fury.

That's how I found it anyway.

You only have to do the Fury bit once on one character and then it's unlocked for the account. It's really short.

I think SWG may have been the only game I ever put that amount of time into.  I can't even fathom doing that nowadays.

While I think that's a lot of time now, I remember a guy on my old EQ server that had amassed more than a year worth of /played when the game hadn't been out 3 years yet.  This wasn't someone that had a spend a lot of time LFG either.

Is it just me, or is Black Widow actually terrible?

I've leveled 3 other chars during this event (Doom 1-60, Scarlet Witch 3x-60, Captain America 18-52 so far) and all of them seemed pretty powerful.  Captain America seems actually fun!

Black Widow I leveled from 4x-60, and it was painful the entire way.

Been a while since I leveled her, but I had the same impression. Basically her only decent aoe is the sig (the widow's kiss aoe dot kills stuff way too slowly), she is squishy when not invisible, and her spirit regen passive depends on stacking crit (not going to happen while leveling). She has very solid single target damage at least, so chain running terminal LQs may work... but I can't stand that kind of monotony.

She's not terrible but you leveled three of the best characters before her so I'm sure she feels a lot worse in comparison.
