Love the orcs in the thrower rankings!
Also, hate on BB Manager for shunning my guys in the individual killer rankings despite being first (or tied for) almost the entire season. Boo!

I like that I am actually starting to appear in some of the lists. Unfortunately, it seems I have some work to do on gaining SPP.

Scadente and Strazos are in the playoffs. I tied 1 - 1 with Sir T. I didn't play well, but my bad luck has been ridiculous. I could not believe my eyes. When Sir T scored I had 4 players on the pitch. I sustained 3 casualties (1 deth) and 8 KOs, an interception, a long list of double 1s, and my best player/blitzer got casualted (and out for the next game too) in the FIRST turn out of a failed GFI with rerolls. Trivia: the same thing happened to the same player in turn one again Strazos: double 1 on a gfi in turn 1, out for the game. I started my game with said double 1 that injured Virginia Woolf, and I finished with a double skulls (I would have scored a TD with ANY dice result except a double skulls) that kicked me out of the playoffs.
That said, the bad luck is what killed my mood, but if I played a better turn 9 through 11 turns I would have probably survived the plague.

Dandies 1 Strongmen 1.
I scored early and managed to finally not concede a score at the half, Scadante scored late in the 2nd and I was attempting some longshot stuff for a late score, and nearly gave him an easy touchdown right at the end. Tipsy, my catcher who has been injuried early in EVERY GAME he has played was finally killed in the first half, and I didn't even think of using my apoth on him. I was glad to see him go. My other new catcher, Useless Pile, managed to spend most of the game knocked out. I loathe human catchers. I nearly had a blitzer die later, but luckily the apoth changed that to a badly hurt. Match has been uploaded to BBM.
Overall a fun match, glad we got it in before Scadante's trip. Sorry to his playoff opponents that I didnt get to do any damage at all to him. Really looking forward to season 4!

Burrowing Beetles 2-0 over Gut Spillers. A Gut Spiller Ghoul was taken out early with a knee injury which was probably fairly crucial in limiting the Gut Spiller mobility down to Khemri speed. Mummies vs. tomb guardians was the predictable bashorama with 113 total block rolls (according to BBManager) over the course of the game. Major injuries were the aforementioned ghoul with a knee injury (niggling), a gouged eye for a Beetles skeleton (wat?), and a smashed ankle (-1 MV) on the replacement Thro-Ra.

Hoax and I tie, 1-1.
Looked like an early blowout for Snoosnoo, as I scored by turn 4 after a disastrous double missed go for it roll would have put me in even earlier. Things evened out from there, though Snoosnoo went in up 1-0 at the half with the star thrower for S&G taken out hard mid half.
Second half was a different tale, with a solid bashy start. Snoosnoo characteristically left the middle open for a solid S&G scoring run. Game ends after a flubbed Jerkface pass is nearly run salvaged by Freight Train Joe, only to be lost in the succeeding scrum.

Oh wow, the best possible result for the top two in Stormbringer, I think.

In my first legit win of the season, Merely a Fleshwound grinds out a hard fought win over 7 Deadly Sins, 2 - 1. I actually thought it was gonna end up being another slaughter for me as some early injuries took 3 of my players off the pitch, and I couldn't get my cage moving for squat. Ezrast scored, and again, it looked like my cage wasn't going to go anywhere, when a little luck saw fit to come my way, and an injured skink made room for my ghoul to break out, and hand off to the ghoul upfield to bring things 1 - 1 on turn 7. Second half, I kicked off to Ezrast, and he slowly ground the ball down to about three spaces shy of the end zone. He left the skink with the ball against the sideline, though, which allowed me to dodge my wight away from a skink, into two other players TZ, and pull off a GFI blitz to put the skink out. The ball was tossed in to the center of the pitch, and into the waiting hands of my mummy. Who just looked at it as it bounced around. Cleared out the area around the ball, and snapped it up, handing it off to the ghoul waiting up the field, and then ran out the clock a bit before scoring the game winner. Overall, I have to say, I'm sorely disappointed in my mummy's performance this season. Plenty of stuns, and not a single injury. The rest of the team is starting to shape up a bit, though. By the end of season 6, this team might actually be worth a damn.

7 Deadly lose 1-2 to Merely a Fleshwound. I could have at least tied it if I had a) stalled before my turn 5 TD, b) not put my ball carrier on the sideline, allowing Cadaverine to dodge a Wight into 2 TZ's and score a 2-die-against push leading to a very unfavorable crowd throw-in, or c) not rolled so many damn double (or triple) skulls. Any two of those and I might have won. Cadaverine earned it, though, exploiting my mistakes well enough to turn the match around in multiple places. By the end of season 6, this team might actually be worth a damn.
I know exactly how you feel.

After a decent first half capped by a mind-bogglingly terrible final two turns, the Hazardous Hippies ran away with the game against Negative Capability, winning 4-1 and putting the Necromantics out of the playoffs. Ingmar and Lamaros will play for second spot in Battletech division.
Short version: could not stop the elves from scoring, then instead of just failing to score at the end of the second half I instead managed to give up a (cheating, elven) second touchdown. From that point on I played desperately, and repeatedly overextended against an elf team that, at least in the second half, simply could not roll a 1. If I had played a more sensible defense when down 2-1 I may have had a better chance, but I rushed forward on a blitz and was duly punished.
I killed a wardancer (saved by apothecary) and KOed the other (foul) on the first drive, but they returned shortly to continue to give me fits, and I don't think I even knocked one of them down again in the rest of the game. Though to be honest it was the thrower and the catchers that really did me in. I killed a rookie catcher at the end of the game but it was small consolation.
Full credit to Teleku for a well-played game.

I dunno. I'll have to think about it. This league has been a pretty miserable experience in all respects. Thing is though, this Nurgle team is getting fairly strong. 2 Warriors now have Block, it now has 3 beastmen (assuming I spend the money for another one, which I probably will), spare Rotters to fill gaps as casualties mount. It would be a far better team to go into a league than it was starting off this one.

Alternatively you could build up a team in the Feeder league so you could try another race.

The thing you have to remember about Chaos and Nurgle is that they really do take time to mature. First seasons are invariably tough, especially for Nurgle, with few first season Chaos teams breaking out of the mediocre category.

Played Sky in a blizzard which shut down my passing game. Not that it mattered because the Agi 5 blitzer that I use as a thrower failed most of his 2+ rolls anyway. Sky chose a Halfling masterchef and in the first half it took two of my three rerolls off me and in the second half it took all three. I don't lean on my rerolls too much as my team has skills that mean they aren't too vital but there were a lot of stupid failures on a 2+ that meant having no rerolls really hurt.
I was receiving in the first half was doing well to get some players free and was dealing about as much damage back to the Orcs as they were doing to me. Had a scoring opportunity with about 2 turns to go but fumbled the 2+ throw to leave the ball in the middle of my half of the pitch. The rest of the turn was a scramble to prevent the Orcs from capitalising and the half ended 0-0.
Second half I kicked and the Orcs made a strong cage that I was having trouble breaking. With only a few turns to go the Orc with the ball made a run for the endzone but slipped leaving the ball free. I set up a pass and hand off chain that would allow me to score, picked up the ball only to drop it again on a failed GfI roll. The Orcs didn't need more of an invitation and ran the ball in with two turns each to go. I then fucked up by convincing myself that I had an additional turn to set up a score so I arranged things so that I could break through on either wing on my next turn ready for a turn 16 score. As soon as I'd hit 'end turn' however I realised that I'd messed up and I on;y had one turn left to play and no players in range of the end zone. With that it was over and Sky had won 1-0.
Now the AndyDavo/Comstar match will decide whether I go through to the playoffs. If Comstar wins or it's a draw then I'm out. If Andy wins then I'm through at Comstar's expense.

In another upset, Bashtards skate to victory over the Hackers, 1-0.
Iain's dice were cursed, he could not land a 2+ pass (except for a quick spp with 3 seconds left in the game). We were playing in a blizzard, so the passing game was already stunted. I kicked off and the first half went scoreless. (edit) One note about the end of the first half, I had taken an open seam in the center to send my thrower into the backfield to put some pressure on his lone elf ball carrier, which is how I was able to stall him back there after the fumble...even though Chuck failed to pick up the ball two or three times in a row (with safe hands...).
Seeing Iain's luck with passing, Chuck didn't even bother and used his newly-found ability to block to play runner...only to slip on a patch of ice (twice) on a GFI for the score in the second half. I trundled up the middle of the pitch, again practicing my caging, not really hoping to score but just get in some good practice against a good opponent. So while I knew it was smarter to keep trundling the cage up to the goal, Chuck squirted out to try to GFI in the ice...and as mentioned, slipping twice, fumbling the ball. Iain had a couple guys back there unmarked (cyanide sucks at UI and twice I was unable to follow up on last second blocks, part of why I just said GFI), snatched the ball and fumbled a 2+ pass (after succeeding a 3+GFI to reduce the pass from 3+ to 2+). I scooped up the ball with a cage corner blitzer who had luckily brought along his ice skates and he skated through his GFI for the score.
Iain got the ball back and I set up for a stall, only two turns left. He played a wicked conservative offense, I was scratching my head and just played a conservative defense, not seeing how he could win...nobody in scoring range, even with GFI. Turns out he thought he had three turns left, the mistake costing him the tie and possibly his playoff spot. Ouch!
The game was mostly down to nuffle protecting his beloved greenskins and futzing Iain's dice rolls, but the MVP of the game was really the halfling master chef, who left Iain with 1 RR in the first half and NONE in the second half (though he did regain one for turn 14 from the kickoff event).

AND THE PEACE DOGS HAVE A VICTORY!!!! Some days the bull gets you and some days you get the bull. Xuri and I played a match to determine the Bottom of the Barrel, and my Peace Dogs were victorious, 2-0! Xuri had some of the worst dice at the worst times. With a significant gulf in TV, I ended up with 500k in inducements, so I bought the Master Chef and 2 rerolls, both of which proved very valuable. The Chef won me an extra reroll in the first half while taking one away from Xuri, but in the second half I gained 2 extra rerolls and stole 2 from him. Those rerolls were crucial, more for his lack than my extras. The first half saw the Peace Dogs receiving and with a lot of mussing about, I managed to get 2 catchers free deep in his half, with my thrower on the ball. However, one stupid stupid mistake saw me leave him stranded within blitz range of enough Norse firepower to be in trouble. He ends up blitzed and on his back, but with enough fuckups on Xuri's part, the thrower ended up with the ball back in his hands. However, those hands seemed to be made of butter, as every elf I had on the pitch who attempted a pass fucked it up in some manner. Xuri found himself with a free lineman carrying the ball two steps from my goal line. One of those steps was a step too far, however, and he tripped over his own feet, staying down until halftime. I covered the ball and the clock ran out on a cagey first half. The second half's chef roll really set the tone for the rest of the game. As I kicked off, his front line ran over my weak linemen, but I managed to sneak a catcher and a blitzer into his half. The ball did not remain secure in Norse hands for long and my catcher ran in to pick it up. He was quickly surrounded by pissed off drunken Vikings, but a key blitz by another catcher freed him up enough that he dodged his way out of the cage and into the endzone for the first score! Another kickoff saw a similar set of circumstances, only this time he had his thrower free with plenty of open receivers on my side of the pitch waiting for their chance at glory. A failed throw, a fumbled pass, a key blitz on the thrower and my catcher ran free with the ball. Knowing that time was running short, he danced around on the edge of the endzone safely out of harm's way before scoring on the last turn, giving me a 2-0 victory! I think I should get 3 level ups after this game, leaving me a dilemma. Should I continue on with this team which I'm starting to really get the hang off, or shift over to my feeder league Chaos team which is also starting to toughen up? Next season should be plenty of fun no matter who I choose.

Yeah I'm pretty gutted actually, I expected to get at least a draw from that game easily - not to put Sky's abilities as a coach down but I basically lost because I had no way to protect myself from random bad luck. There were literally three or four rolls in the whole game that I'd have wanted to reroll and all of them prevented me from scoring. Not having a single reroll left me far more open to stupid stuff like AGI 5 throwers failing two out of three short passes.
