Unless you have like 4 rerolls, you may want to hang on to him...this makes him have, what, 7 armor? That's livable.
The thought crossed my mind, but I want to make sure I'm at full strength for my last match since I could still theoretically find myself in the playoffs.  Rerolls are a crutch for those unwilling to bask in Nuffle's glory.

Edit: After Falc validated my game vs Ginaz, I'm not as screwed as I thought I would be. Only two players are out for the next game One is my superstar level 3 Assassin (but Stab doesn't work so well against AV9 Black Orcs anyway). Everyone else is fit to play except for my Witch Elf with +1 Str who just reached level 3 so she now has Block which makes her frankly terrifying - S4, Frenzy, Dodge and Block! I also have a ton of cash on hand if I need to replace players in a hurry.

Silver Horde 1 - 0 Team SnooSnoo
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/318368/Replay_2011-02-20_20-50-15.db

Regular viewers will be aware that Silver Horde start this match with their Berserker and Werewolf contingent dead or injured at the hands of the Nifty Helmets, this translated into 380TV deficit, so the Horde immediately put the call out to Willhelm Chan......  wait.....  FUCK YOU CYANIDE FUCK YOU IN THE EYE FOR YOUR BULLSHIT POLICY ON ONLY HAVING STARS YOU'VE DESIGNED A SHITTY UNIQUE MODEL FOR.

Horde take Zara and a Bloodweiser Babe (and get a jouneyman lineman).

The Silver Horde kick off the first half, both teams have a very forward flat formation, only Jerkface the Orc thrower in the backfield. The half quickly falls into a pattern of SnooSnoo trying to push right across the line, but not overcommitting and waiting for a gap that Jerkface can exploit. Silver Horde maintain a solid line, with STR 4/5 players Immortal Jenkins on the left, Detritus in the centre, and Zara on the right providing an edge to shut down any growing mass of Orcs. Without Frenzy except on the Troll, Horde is able to maintain absolute discipline in minimising contact and holding the line. SnooSnoo discipline was sadly not so evident, and Barry Dugenheim was removed from the field for a most ungentlemanly attempt to foul Zara the Slayer (despite this Dugenheim was later named MVP - making you question the disgraceful lack of ethics on the part of SnooSnoo's sponsors). The norsemen started to really feel the benefit of Block in keeping them upright (felt like an awful lot of Push & both down rolls from SnooSnoo) and Immortal Jenkins briefly captures the ball shortly before the end of the half, but the Orcs regain possession and the half ends scoreless.

After a short delay to carry Edgar the Black Orc from the pitch following a thrown rock incident (Niggling Injury), the second half starts similarly, Bravd the Hublander picks from deep and both teams face off along the line once again, but this time SnooSnoo commit right, hoping to break the line quickly - but leave the left open. Bravd makes a run screened by Zara, Old Vincent and Voltan, and the Horde manages to steal SnooSnoo's left side. Bravd is able to stall a couple of turns on the line while the Norse team hold the orcs down on the LoS before scoring.

The Orc side have 3 turns to score on the final drive, and naturally take an even more aggressive stance, not waiting for an opportunity to poke a hole, but charging in on all fronts. Malcomn Weatherbottom III the Troll is an early casulaty of this approach, stretchered off with a broken neck. Meanwhile, the Horde's right side proves too shallow to stop Blast Hardcheese and Poops breaking through. Jerkface the thrower sees the opportunity and a perfect long pass finds Hardcheese 5 ranks from the endzone, but Zara the Slayer once again earns her gold, dodging away from the line and ending Hardcheese's run. At the same time on the other side of the pitch Slasher Mungo is killed - depriving the Horde of their kicking specialist. The Silver Horde can't quite pick the damn ball up, and Jerkface gets one more shot, grabbing the ball and attempting another long pass, but this time from tackle zones, he fumbles, but holds the ball and the match ends.

Good write up. With this loss Snoosnoo have now been winless for three games, a stretch which might mean I've fallen out of playoff contention after seemingly having a spot sewn up weeks ago.

You can still go through but you are at the mercy of the other games in your division on the final day.

You need to beat Scarlet and Grey which will put you on 13 points. Additionally:
*Huhnqua Huhnqua Burninluv need to lose or draw vs Nifty Helmets.
*The Morsel vs Silver Horde game needs to not be a draw UNLESS you can beat Scarlet and Grey by at least 3 TDs to break the tie with Silver Horde.

My fate was basically sealed at the start of the second half. I overcommitted on my right side after Silver Horde had a roll fuck up. Basically, I got overzealous and it colored everything that came after. Not, of course, to make it so that I am Person #3 from the Penny Arcade strip.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly? Just that I made a pretty terrible tactical blunder.

To be honest I'm pretty smug about you only having to fuck up once, and not half a dozen times per half to give me the win.

I'm glad your team wasn't damaged too badly.  It didn't look good there at the end.

On a side note, if there is a 4th season, does any cash left over after this season transfer over to the new one?  Just wondering whether or not to blow what little I have left on inducements for my final match or save it?

That sounds like good news to me, as I'm on holiday from Wednesday to Tuesday and so the longer you wait the more time I have to schedule game 7.

I am gonna be in Florida, doing my best to get in trouble, between March 17 to 30. That's perfect as it will probably be right after the end of Season#3 and before Season #4. But someone will have to take care of advertising and recruiting while I'm away  awesome, for real

By the way, I will be away (at GDC) from the 26th Feb to 6th of March. With no way to play matches.

So forfeiting to the pig-skinned humans is probably the only solution; unless we can play the match late tomorrow (depending on when the final match of day #6 takes place).

But I would really like to play the playoff-match!

3 - 1 Rat Country over Undaed.

The very first turn got off to a bad start for Celer as he received and I got a blitz/short kick.  I was able to knock some undead away from where the ball was going, put a GR under it, and within three turns score the first TD.  I could have done it earlier, but decided to take some time off of the clock.  I then kicked the ball, and punched around Celer's cage until he attempted a dodge and failed, the ball went to a wight, and I knocked him out/picked up the ball and then ran in for a quick TD on turn 8.

I then received, and while I was taking some injuries was able to piece together a quick TD to cement the win.  I played a loose cover defense afterward, but I think I got a little too overzealous, moved in too many for the kill against Celer's ball carrier, and he was able to run away and hand off the ball for a TD.  The rest of the game was me stalling and setting up GRs for a possible late TD that didn't happen.

It was a good game, and the dice weren't kind to Celer.  The real determining factor, however, was that all four of my GRs were on the field at the end of the game.
