listen whats is so messed up is that this account here had same info and all i got was code of conduct so i want answer why did one account get a warning and my other account get banned.... this is not right

I have called Xbox about this and they told me to place this post. I need to know what my son did to get banned, whether he has been hacked, or wheter this is a mistake. When he got home from school today he had an error message about the billing option on his account and it said he was suspended. But we have a family pack of accounts and he is the only one getting this message. His bio and motto also say code of conduct. Xbox live told me to post this info and reference number to determine whether it is a code of conduct suspension or a mistake. They said you could look up the documentation with the number. Actually, no.  Your account was permanently suspended for the harassment of Xbox LIVE staff.

The First Amendment of the Constitution for the United States of America only applies to government censorship, not to private enterprise.  Microsoft, as a private entity, has the right to choose what is and is not acceptable on their service.  This is outlined quite clearly in the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use.  Sending a direct message to anyone wherein you express your severe racism, homophobia and use excessive profanity is grossly unacceptable, and warrants a harassment suspension.  The fact that you decided to send it to me, on top of that, shows a distinct lack of judgement and common sense.

The suspension will stand as issued.  Further contact with Xbox LIVE employees or violations of the Code of Conduct will result in addional action being taken against your accounts, consoles, forum use or person. Cheers.

I'll just post in the bans and suspension forum to ask about a technical issue and while I'm there I'll explain how I'm breaking the Terms of Service. I wonder what could go wrong?

My friend modded my gamerscore a while back and what happened is that it got reset. When it got reset all my game data had been corrupted. I tried to make a new account so I switched my e-mail address to a new account but, I figured out you cannot transfer licenses to a new account so what I did was switch back the e-mail address and the stuff weren't corrupted anymore. I modded something for my avatar skin color, eyebrow, hair, etc. and after purchasing a pair of shorts on the avatar marketplace and after I left it I didn't have any Bio, Motto, Gamerpic, etc. When I go to play Halo: Reach I can't change any settings and it gives me a message saying that it can't save any information to my memory unit and it may be because I don't have it plugged in properly.

I got a reference number after calling someone from XBOX Live, The number is: 1148083163

I have toured Iraq 4x, Afghanistan 2x. I'm a medic/ firefighter, this is ridiculous to convict the accused without fair notice (which in the code of conduct you state: you do not have to give prior warning)but how long will you jump to conclusionns and convictions without fairly investigating the reasoning. This is considered under the first amendment as freedom of speech/ expression. Mine is a song, so what. Dont look at my private info. The internet is a global place of interaction where filters are meant to be used by the hosting community. This is overboard and to censor me by suspension over something in which you never inquired, is completely unfair and against the U.S. Constitution in which YOU do not override. I have served my country, fought for it's rights & I still serve to this day. Even though it is a suspension up to 02/02/2011 it needs to be lifted immediately. I could see this being an ignorance issue, particularly for someone that is used to PC games.  But shit, it is spelled out in their rules pretty plainly.

ok so last month i put a 1 year membership on my account to come on today and find out i was banned untill 31/12/9999 so i am here to find out why i believe that there are no recent suspensions on this account therefore it should not have being a 9999 ban also this is the reason i have being gone to ps3 free membership and also they dont abuse there powers of banning people as i have put a 1 year live on this account and now i dont have any 1 month or live left so unless you can transfer it to my new account called TabletopPrune07 or i am staying with ps3 i pay £40 a year which is $60 to play and not even been on 1 month and perm banned enforcement team abuse there powers to much maybe a 2 week ban i would accept. the gamertag i was banned on was iRosssssss x and dont hit me with the usall bs cheating etc as i know i havent so be straight up and just say you abused your powers and reduce the ban to 2 weeks at least.

I tend to agree. Plus, hacks tend to cause stability issues -- you're screwing around in ways that it wasn't designed for, which is more wear and tear on CS.

They definitely should, and maybe permanent bans for avatar skins is too much- but at the same time, that person has cheated online to get something and should be punished.

For all the people who say that this is unprofessional, I have to wonder what harm is being done to them or their brand by revealing it. That may be a frame of mind that applies more to smaller games than multi-million person networks.

Considering the type of people who appear on this site only seem to be of the type that gives them a bad name simply by being a customer, I don't see how this is bad for them.  Plus, not only is seeing a company actively enforcing their rules a plus sign to people, the sheer awesomeness is attractive to some customers (like me.)
