That was a fun game which turned out to be more challenging than I thought it would be.  I had a terrible time landing blocks, and lost the ball on my second turn after two double attacker-down dice; nearly gave up a TD in the aftermath until Luckton took one too many gfis trying to get away from me.

What really killed me was the weather in the second half.  I lost three players to the heat while the Halflings lost none, and Luckton managed an amazing ball pickup/two-gfi TD to end his 16th turn.  The trees were amazingly active also.  I don't think any of them took root in the entire game and they ran all over the place!  Luckton played really well and deserved that tie, for sure.  Looking forward to more games.

I did have one Take Root near the end...tried to fling a 'fling at the mosh so he could assist in that 11th hour ball pickup, but the tree fumbled the 'fling.  Fortunately he wasn't needed  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?  I'm also disappointed that my Master Chef didn't come through for me as well as I'd hoped.

I think I may revise the team one last time before S5 takes off.  It'll raise my TV a little, but it should make my Master Chef a little more worthwhile along with really irking off some people  why so serious?

The successful halfling toss on your round ten was pretty awesome.  I don't think I had ever seen a fully successful one done before.

My halflings have just provided further evidence of short person superiority, tying 0-0 with Iain's amped up chaos side.

PC crashed just seconds after completing the game, providing further evidence that halflings are indeed Nuffle's chosen ones.

'Amped up' is being a bit kind to them. They have about four players who have levelled up so they aren't as terrible as most Chaos sides are. Was a fun game though and you did well to prevent me from scoring twice in the second half.

Between taking care of my 11-month old and playing LotRO, I'm available today until 1600 EST for matches with my Human and off-season Halfling teams.  Hit me up if interested.

Alright, I guess everyone is working...so I took my 'flings on the road the Auld League Matchmaking circuit.  After four games, my stat was 1-1-2, got a Treeman to level 2 with +1MA and a 'fling to level 2 with Dive Tackle.

Not a bad run  awesome, for real

Seems like luckton's halflings are more of a threat than you'd think. Just beat them 1-0 with my lizards, but luckton had a loose fling in possession just yards from the end zone more than once, a successful short pass on turn 16 would have turned the game into a tie. Tricky little buggers.

Aye, a couple of good matches.  The first one with my Human team was complete clownshoes, as I didn't have a lot of games played as Human, let alone that team (was their first game in the Feeder).  A broken collarbone on my Ogre and a consistent string of bad rolls for me and good roles for Eld made that game their last, as I fired the lot of them for their utter failure and bad luck of the dice.  awesome, for real

I was much more satisfied with the Halflng rematch against the Lizards.  The Lizards brought the pain again, sending a number of 'flings off the field, but my treemen lead by Deeproot brought the pain right back at 'em, and we finished the game with about the same number of players in the injury box.

Got a Treeman to level 2 and gave him Guard.  Good times  why so serious?

For those wondering, my first match in S5 with Falc goes down this Wednesday.   DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Yeah, Luckton tied with my Nurgles a while back.  Like I said in the prediction thread, I think people disregard his team at their own peril.  They could at least be a spoiler.

Pretty sure Ingmar was talking about Falc choking vs Luckton.

Suspect your high TV might be down to having 5 level 4s and 4 stat ups.

I'm just giving up on TV management personally, I could do it but I'd have to fire my precious deathroller to do so. Now watch as I tie/lose the next 6 games and miss the playoffs due to wizards.

Currently luckton has 950k inducements.

He can dump cheerleaders, coaches (both are worthless), the apothecary (who are you going to use it on? Indestructable trees or worthless halflings?) and one reroll (your good players all have loner) to take that to 1100k.

Deeproot : 300k
Morg : 430k
Zara : 270k
Chef : 100k

Total : 1100k

It's been my experience thus far that the Masterchef is really only effective if I can get 'and' deny my opponent his rerolls.  While the MC is cool, if a kickoff event does a FAME check, I loose unless I have the proper counters.  Thus why when I found that Falc was my first opponent, I invested into max artificial FAME and picked up the Cheerleaders and Coaches, to which I don't believe Falc has either.

I'll drop the Apoc, sure, but when the opportunity to exploit my opponent comes knocking, I don't just answer, I'll kick down the damn door for it to enter.  All for the sake of putting the random factors of this game in my favor.  'That' is how Halflings roll, motherfracker.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I guess that would see you swap in Zara for a wizard, but I think you'd really miss a potential str4 blodging ball carrier, a wizard plus maybe a reroll doesn't seem as exciting.

Had a very Pyrrhic victory against IainC in the feeder league just now - my thrower took a -1 agi, a lineman died, and my super wardancer is now 6 AV.  ACK!

Going to take some real doing to get this team to a 1300-playable-in-main-league state now.
