getting a Gutter Runner to level 3, where he promptly got a +1 STR to go with wrestle and dodge. Fear Nightcrawler, motherfuckers.

That's a GR worthy of fouling.  Get him Side Step or maybe Tackle or Strip Ball...he'll be a menace.

I can confirm that that GR is a pain in the ass with wrestle.  He was about the only one on Haemish's team that I didn't either KO or injure with my necro team.  On a brighter note, I won 3-1 and my werewolf is now lvl 3 with block and +1 str. Heart

He spent the next game against Ginaz getting knocked on his ass, but he wasn't alone in that. I did get a new rat ogre and leveled another gutter runner, who also got wrestle.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Applied the South Park Smackdown, my new Chaos team, to the Feeder League. Now I need approval and I'll play you goons in some games this weekend.

After tonight's game, my necro team has reached the 1250 TV limit.  I was able to get another werewolf (to go along with my +5 str/block one) and my ghoul now has sure hands.  We'll see how things go in the Failoffs with my lizardman team, but I'm starting to like the necros quite a bit and I'm thinking about using them in season 5.

Edit:  I meant +4 str werewolf.  I must have been thinking of my +5 str Saurus.

I like the necros, too. They seem to support the way I'm trying to play the orcs. Enough armor to take some punishment, but some decent passing options.

I had a game with Ginaz. My nurgle did nearly as well as they did again Megrim's humans. Got him down to only one player on the pitch!

Still no fun skillups. I haven't had a decent roll on any player in any of my teams for a long long time now.

Played Carnifex in back to back matches using my rookie Wood Elves. First match against his Vampires was carnage and I beat him like a red-headed stepchild 3-1. Second one against his Necro team went the other way and I lost that 2-0. Had fun with the Woodies and they might be replacing the Hackers in a future season.

Ran into a BBManager issue when trying to upload the games afterwards. I fired up BBManager and it auto-detected the last game I played (vs the Necro team) no problem so I uploaded that. Then, I went to upload the Vampires game and even when I selected the correct replay file the uploader insisted that it was the Necro match. I uploaded it anyway and, sure enough the match statistics etc were all from the Necro match. How do I fix that?

BB Manager only works for last game played.

Sometimes you can fix by viewing the replay, in full, of the other game you want to upload. Then try BB Manager.

If you do this, remember that the + button speeds up time during the replays.  IIRC it takes less than 5 minutes at max speed.

Even better, you can just load the replay and then immediately abandon the game, and BBManager will still detect it as the last game played.

If you do that, it won't generate the end-of-game match report, which messes the stats up. Use  +++++, it's the only way to be sure!

Sky - you may like 'developed' dark elves. they are a total pain in the ass to start but with AV8 all round (if you hide the Av7 pieces carefully) they can generally take a small beating.

Wierdly humans are also a more passy-middle-of-the-road version of orcs. Look them up.

Both teams don't play great to start but are decent when slightly developed.

Humans are a fun, well-balanced team to play. They have a big guy, start with two guys with block, their catchers start out decent, they can get a thrower. They are a good team to learn the game with, IMO, because while they aren't great at anything, they can be good at lots of things.

Now that my humans have a lot of guard I see their potential.  I dislike their catchers as they feel like slower gutter runners without access to mutations, and, to be honest, the Ogre is a liability until he gets block.  Getting four blitzers is awesome though and are pretty clearly the heart of the team unless you develop a really amazing thrower, and even that can be risky as my now retired Thrower Augustus can testify due to a career ending -MA injury.

I think my toughest transition from orcs is going to be getting used to guys with less than av9 :) I do tend to play a pretty passy game and this season my bashing sucked ass (I was at the top of s#3 kills regular season). Maybe it's a sign, Chuck was in the top ten passers S#3 and I think top 3 S#4...

On the big guy thing, my Troll was barely useful and I did buy him late. I put Guard on him rather than Block when he got MVP late last season (last S#4 game, iirc), thinking he might do better as a fulcrum for flanking Black Orcs (especially the str5 BO, guaranteed str6 block off the LoS. One reason I want to keep playing the orcs, I picked up a lot of guard toward the end of last season, my cages should be a lot tougher in S#5 if the Tards continue.

I feel like humans would probably be a pretty frustrating starter team, personally. I've never been a fan, their catchers with the strength 2 but none of the agility of the other strength 2 pieces really annoy me.

With dauntless or a lucky +STR level up the catchers can make good blitzers/ball strippers akin to a gutter runner.  I've developed one as a straight up catcher and scorer and he is pretty disappointing, though he did have a 3 TD game this weekend.  I started without any catchers and did just fine, but having at least one player with 8 MA does help, even if it is from a STR 2 player.

Be careful when Carnifex offers up his 'crappy vampire team'. Played them with my rats, and won 3-2 but lost 270k of gutter runner and rat ogre in the process.

Fuck all useless apothecaries.

I miss the old apothecary rules.  Honestly, I haven't had an apothecary roll that made a difference in 7+ games.

I'll offer to play his vampires with the Emperors though...

I believe one of Festering Wound's two losses (with the pre-season league win we're 2-1-2, iirc) was to those Vamps.
