It's a very nice League. I am in 5A, but not because I earned anything. It's my second season and I was in 7A last year, so I guess I just climbed up thanks to old people leaving (and lots of new coming, if there's an 8h tier). Last year I got 4th, not a bad result out of ten. Last night I got my orc bashed to a pulp by an equal TV Nurgle team. I got one killed, about 5 casualties (against) and a bunch of KOs. My last 4 official matches between f13 and OCC have been pathetic. Nuffle should take a fucking break on me.

Similar question; anyone in the OCC want to vouch for my application? I'd like to apply at some point in the near future.

So I have a skill-use question:

Juggernaut - when I use it in-game (and I have it set to ASK me to use it), I am presented with a box with the skills, with checks and such next to them. Juggernaut can be toggled to 3 or 4 different settings at the moment I throw the blitz...

What I would like to know is - how can I decide to Not invoke the skill, and when folks are prompted to use a skill or not in a block, who gets last choice? I wouldn't want to turn off Juggernaut, just to have the guy elect to use wrestle or something. Mainly, problem is in SP there have been times I wanted to ignore Juggernaut to use a both down, but couldn't figure it out.

Think the defender gets last choice. Not 100% though.

Either way. If they have wrestle, always assume they will choose the one you don't want them to.

So, even though Juggernaut has the option to ignore wrestle on a blitz, a BD will not get the defender down because Juggernaut treats BDs as pushes - is that correct?

Never tested it, but I assume that if you choose not to use Juggernaught then you don't get to ignore the wrestle, so it's either a push or wrestle. But I don't know, so you might want to test it.

Ok then, I just need to figure out how to turn off Juggernaut when I am blitzing against someone without block and I get a BD when I have block - I'd rather not waste it by using it as a push.

EDIT: Also, unrelated, how do you guys feel about your bench - How many extras do you tend to keep? Trying to decide if/how to trim TV.

It really depends on your team. Low AV teams or teams with very cheap Linemen are better off with more subs, for inevitably-required replacement or inevitably-advantageous fouling respectively. But I think long term any well-developped team is going to want at least 13, maybe 14 players, if they can afford them.

Personally, I already cut one zombie, but I believe I'm still at 13.

4gr
1ro
2blitzer
2thrower
4-5linerats

13-14 total. I wouldn't want more unless I start to get some good rolls on my linerats (mutations).

I won't go above the 12 I have unless I go insane and buy a death roller, then I'll want it to be the 14th player so I have a little more control over when it actually hits the field.

Since the start of season 2, I don't think I've ever had the chance to buy an extra player for the bench.  I've lost so many dead I've rarely even had a full lineup.  I'm currently running with 2 loner's right now.   awesome, for real

My plan has been to have 14 players so I can foul with impunity.  So far my fouling has been mostly derailed by lack of bodies.  But I finally, finally have 14 'healthy' players for the next game.  It only took a full season plus a game.   ACK!

Now I'm accumulating money and I don't know what to do with it... undecided

Kind of considering a Troll, but at this point that would massively balloon my TV.

Saving up money is not bad, presumably eventually you will get getting really screwed on income by spiraling expenses, and having a big bankroll will help the team be able to afford replacement players after people inevitably die.

Can someone explain how spiraling expenses work? I'm about to 1750 (or already passed it).

What's the most annoying skills to play against? I'm thinking block/dodge/sidestep/guard/tackle? Maybe shadow or diving tackle instead?

At 1750, you lose -10000 off of your winnings. At each threshold after that, you lose another 10k, eventually you get to the point where you're rarely getting any money at all (though we're not likely to hit that territory for a long while.)

I'm pretty sure it is specified for each league -- you can have larger increments or smaller ones, depending on the effect you want to produce.

And Comstar, the most annoying skill is clearly Diving Catch. In fact you should give it to all of your amazons, before you even bother with things like Block.

I cut a crippled lineorc last season, even though replacing him cost my entire treasury. Better than having him suck up any SPP...and his replacement leveled in the next game. Heck, I'm still tempted to cut my Wrestle lineorc because I've used wrestle 0.0 times, can't seem to get him into position. Sucks because he's about to hit level 3. My lineorcs, they level well. Might keep him if he gets an interesting roll.

Actually no. You'd have to add 150,000 - if you are 140k behind your opponent in TV, and kick in 10k, your TV goes up by 10k, and you only get 130k in inducements.

Ah well, then I guess I may have successfully blown 10K then (or may not have -- I had no idea). That also seems like a UI failure that I can whinge about.

I assume that if you have the greater TV, and then add petty cash...that your opponent is duly compensated?

Also, completely unrelated, but...

If someone is using diving tackle (with the prompt on), if they select to use it on a given dodge but before the dodge reroll....how does that work? Are you forced to use it on the reroll as well, or do you have the option to see what they roll on the reroll?
