Korean Western set in 1940's Manchuria.  As awesome as it sounds.  Please watch.

Action, adventure and comedy.  Mostly action and comedy, though.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

This is another action film I found completely soulless. Full of sound and fury, etc.

I wanted to like it, and I enjoyed moments throughout, but I felt it was all downhill after the introductory train robbery. Such rich potential for backstory could have yielded a lot more, but I just couldn't find anybody to root for. Also it has the conventional Korean ending, which always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Netflix it. If you find yourself getting antsy halfway through, feel free to stop. It doesn't get better.

conventional Korean ending

Having not watched much Korean cinema, I'm curious what you mean by that?

My guess, from Zaitochi, is that it involves the entire cast dancing.

Except zatoichi was Japanese. And no, he didn't mean dancing.

I'm aware of where Zaitochi came from.  Most of Asia seems to like endings that make no goddamn sense though.

Ending sucked, but I don't feel like I wasted my time.  Wasn't looking for Citizen Park.

Warning, this is the ending to every Korean film I've ever seen:

Maybe it's just the ones that get exported, but that's been the ending regardless of genre: Action comedy, suspense, romance, historical melodrama, horror. It fits a few, but most of the time I find it jarring and unsatisfying.
