Just as I finally figure out how the whole booster system works for my monorail... Oh well, I'll just work on the structure and add the boosters later.
I'm more excited about the possibility of Pistons getting added though.

Does the piston mob allow the manipulation of Lava/Water?
I've been wanting to make a flood gate for awhile now, but as far as liquids are concerned, doors are solid objects open or shut.

Yea, basically just use them to move a block of stone in front of the channel or not. Apparently they are already in discussion with the guy who designed the mod, and plan to add it officialy, with some minor tweaks.

There are a number of mods they need to do this with. Some of them are just too fucking cool not to have in the base game.

They need to add Mo Creatures, so my dogs have something to herd.  -edit- The Piston mob looks great yea, I can see why they want to add that baseline. Can a piston move a piston though?

I know there is a mod ('Lockit', I think) for it, but I have no idea if they want it in the base game. Thankfully the people I play with aren't thieves, just vandals and terrorists.

I added an option to 1.5 to turn on occlusion culling. Most computers can handle it, and it helps a lot. LMAO. And in Wurm, we added that a few months ago. I am constantly amused by the client similarities. Anyway, thats going to be a very good thing for a great many people.

So, if you can't see something in game, but its with the draw distance, its "occluded." Occlusion culling is not drawing that stuff (since you can't see it anyway). This saves your graphics card some effort. The cost, of course, is extra CPU load. For most systems though, this nets an increase in performance. Thats my understanding, but if someone more intimate with the tech wants to correct me or expand upon it, feel free.

How do you generate a new map for a server?
They should be in the same folder as where ever you put the server .exe and ran it the first time. I believe all the files per "world" are in the "world" folder. Copy the world folder, and move it. Then start the server.

Yeah you can copy stuff and bring it back later if you want. We're actually running a FRANKENMAP right now, where we took our original map, added some crap around the edges from our 2nd map that people wanted to keep, and added some generated dungeons to.
