Minecraft - f13 Server is: chugging along... again (Read OP)

I'm getting an outdated client error when trying to connect.

Which presumably means out-dated server but server mods always lag behind the major "vanilla" server releases, and last time I updated a server without Llamacraft installed somebody blew a bunch of holes in the world.

From my forum reading, its a server mod called "hey0's" that is not working, also lama whatever has also been updated.

There was. You zip your texture mod files up (in a .zip file, .rar didn't work for me) and put them in a subfolder of your minecraft install.

In my Windows 7 system, this is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks

In the game, you can click Single Player, Multi Player, or (new!) Mods and Texture Packs.
Go in there and pick your desired mod.

I've only tried this so far with a pure graphics mod, so I don't know how/if it works with more complex mods.

Just textures. He eventually wants to add in support for API loading of server mods.

The server has a mind of its own right now, it clearly did not want me to mine those block because it put them all back, it also ate 32 diamonds i had saved up.

Ive been clearing out a very large area at the level of bedrock stones, I have found a bunch of diamond iron and gold.

There are a few diamond picks in the F13 Tower Sokuraama built (entrance west of the spawn, past Vaiti's mine, in the Western Tunnel) ...

I think it was Spelrod. All I can remember is Geordi LaForge gave me a diamond pick.

EDIT: Also, I'm putting in the club level seats to the stadium this weekend if people have a ton of sand lying around that I could use to make glass. Thanks!

The map was reset after the Halloween patch. It's already exceeded the size of the previous one.

Yes, we wanted to setup the spawn area to force people out to a distance that wouldn't make their buildings visible to people loading in.

Quite sure I was missing something, or communicated badly. I figured with the last client/server update the map was reset.

Halloween Patch - Server reset and port change so we could setup spawn and push people out.

A patch or two ago - Port returned to default now that spawn was generally setup and established.

Hmm now I feel bad about helping people log-in by telling them the port number changed. Although, I didn't know it was supposed to be a somewhat secret since Trippy posted it so I don't feel too bad about it.

We ever figure out what the desconstruction issue was? Having to mine the same block over and over makes this game 10x less fun.

It's an issue with the new server client. I setup a personal server to test if it was latency/load related and I'm happy to confirm that even on a local network with just me logged in it happens at the same rate.

Ok I'll just wait until that gets fixed to dig up the rest of the stone for the stadium.
