Spawn should look a lil spiffier now. There's still a spot that needs a lil somthing so I'll think on that.

Nice, it does look better.
Here are some screen shots of the beginning of the north road... Do you guys think I should replace it? Some people (+me) were worried that it might be lagging the server.

Server is using more CPU than before. Don't know if it's the new server code or the new world (or both) that's causing the problem but basically at 10 players a CPU core is maxed out. Unfortunately the server code is not multi-threaded so it's only using 1 of the 2 cores on my box.
I can set a lower max player limit (like 8) if you guys prefer that but of course that'll mean the more casual players will have trouble connecting during prime time hours.

Maybe, I lost one in some server lag while I was refreshing it, and gave up looking for it. Its not a big deal, I made another. Edit: It is possible it douped on you. I've dropped a diamond shovel to refresh it, and I got two back. |

There's a pretty helpful wiki, the block list and the crafting recipes are especially useful: www.minecraftwiki.netYou have to hold down the left mouse button while you wail away on whatever you're trying to break until it pops, or you accomplish nothing. Damage to blocks doesn't persist. Thanks |

New update's out, and it should help with the boat issues prompting Nix's spazout. General fixes:
* players and mobs in lava or fire no longer spam sound effects
* getting hit with a higher damage while recovering from a smaller one now works as intended
* lava flows further in the Nether
* zombie pigs eventually forgives
* added support for custom skin packs
* fixed duplicate buttons when resizing screens
* zombie pigs and ghasts no longer get hurt by fire or lava
* fixed volume sliders now saving properly
Multiplayer fixes:
* hellworld=true no longer overwrites old save chunks. Player positions will still break if you switch it on a running server, though
* boats are now visible to other players
* minecarts move nicer
* fishing kinda sorta works, but needs more work
* sheep and cows look like sheep and cows now
* buckets work now
* fixed stairs being really difficult to destroy
* increased the timeout before “Took too long to log in”
* made it possible to ride carts and boats
* added (after lots of work) the ability to steer server-side boats
* added “no-animals” setting. if true, animals will immediately vanish
* added support for more animation settings. Currently it’s just the “riding” animation, but the same system will be used for sneaking Not sure what the performance implications of minecarts and boats are, but I suspect we'll find out soon enough. I'm pretty enthused about the bucket fixes, too. |

Yeah all they do right now is get trapped under blocks and make a lot of noise. |

Minecarts and Boats still don't work properly. DO NOT USE THEM.
Also, F4 spawns Nether portals. Just don't as obsidian will be a bitch to remove, even if it is for your own little project. The server has a hard enough time keeping up with the new bugs/memory leaks, we don't need more stress added on.
