So, 2 of my alts are tailors, with that tailoring perk that gives them a chance to get extra frost weave cloth off of mobs they kill.

Now that I have started playing them a bit more regularly, this means that I am now literally drowning in frostweave cloth.   I have something like 800 stacks of the shit floating around between alts in the mail, and on bank alts.

I dont really want to sell it wholesale in the AH, since there is always loads there already, usually at crazy price swings.

So I was wondering, what do you guys do with your cloth?

I thought about crafting stuff and disenchanting it for mats, but the market on dust has pretty much hit rock bottom since the "de everything if there is an enchanter in your group" patch went through.

I turn it into frostweave bags and sell them.  They still go for 36g on my server and I sell 'em as fast as I can make 'em.

Frostweave bags still sell for 60g+ on my server. Also, might want to stockpile a bunch of Imbued Frostweave Bolts since next patch they're removing the cooldown on Spellweave, Mooncloth, etc.

Edit: beaten!

Frostweave bags is the way I'm going.  Every character is getting a bank space upgrade.  awesome, for real

Might as well set a bunch aside for my xpac goblin as well.

If you have an enchanter you can process cloth into enchanting mats and then use the dust to make imbued frostweave if you like.

Here's the process I went through:

1. Make Frostweave Bags for every character's main bags.
2. Get the 500 Heavy Frostweave Bandage achievement on my main.
3. Give sets of bags away to friends who started playing again.
4. Frostweave Bags for every character's bank slots.
5. Start selling Frostweave Bags.

I've been between 3 and 4 for some time now and it's kept my cloth count around 300 for a bit now.

Also remember the First Aid achievement.  There's 50 stacks alone.

(edit : no, really, I saw that Caladein had already posted that...)

I'm a (dis)enchanter, so i make these - http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41543

Drops some dust, may be a greater essence or two. Bags sell below "cost" on my server, so no reason doing that. And even with blizzard trying to kill enchanting as a profitable profession, mats still sell decently if you have some patience and only list on wedesndays (EU reset).

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

Fridays and early Saturdays seem to be good times to sell mats on the servers I've played on (US).  Also late Sunday for some reason.  There's no reason to hold onto so much cloth, unless you want to hang onto it for a long time (as in a year or more), because it won't go back up until well after Cat launches.  So either make stuff to de, make bags if they sell for better than cost (that's current cost of mats, not whatever you might think frostweave should be worth), or sell the frostweave.

Do tailors get a bonus for all cloth drops now, or just frostweave?  I foolishly decided on a whim to get Bloodsail Admiral on my pally, and now I need ridiculous amounts of linen, silk, mageweave and runecloth to restore my goblin factions reputation.

Ratchet (Linen), Booty Bay (Silk), Gadgetzan (Mageweave), and Everlook (Runecloth).

They're only available up to Neutral though.

Edit: Everlook is the city, Winterspring is the zone...

If you're really lazy, you can just make bandages and vend them. Usually the AH price hovers around this point anyway.

Witty banter not included.

This.  I have first aid on every character if only to sell my cloth for a little more cash to vendors.  I'm far too impatient to wait on Auction House sales and am willing to take the loss in potential revenue because of this.

I vendor this stuff. AH profit margin is so thin it's not worth the effort. For the time you spend hanging out speculating on this crap, you could vendor it, run a half a dozen heroics and make way more than you could on the cloth.
