I know, its not a picture, its a vid clip, but this has to be the cutest cockatoo ever

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

I swear, if all else fails in my life, I'm going to go there and offer my services as a slightly faster moving tree for rehabilitating sloths to cling to.

Not strictly a cute picture but a cute story.

Quote
A fox has been unmasked as the mystery thief of more than 100 shoes in the small western German town of Foehren, authorities said Friday.

A forest worker stumbled upon shoes strewn near the fox's den and found a trove of footwear down the hole which had recently been stolen overnight from outside locals' front doors.

"There was everything from ladies' shoes to trainers," said a local police spokesman. "We've found between 110 and 120 so far. It seems a vixen stole them for her cubs to play with."

Although many were missing laces, the shoes were in good condition and their owners were delighted to reclaim them, he said, adding that no reprisals were planned against the culprit.

Boxcat is awesome. I love it when he's stuck halfway in one of the drinkcan boxes and is all "this is not an exact science, you know. I could have intended this."

Also. someone call me when squirders (spirrels?) are a reality, please. I want one.

Cat's name is Maru, and Ingmar wants to kidnap him. He's a big ol' cutie.

That puppy probably isn't a malamute, but people mess that sort of thing up all the time anyway. If you look at petfinder, the shelters always have amusing guesses as to what their mutts are. Apparently black dogs that aren't small = newfie mix. My favorite was the pretty-clearly-an-actual-smooth-collie being "some sort of collie mix" because it wasn't poofy like Lassie.

I will see your goat on sheep and raise you a rat on a cat on a dog.

I've seen this trio in person, btw.  Their owner panhandles around Union Square.

"Boxcat" is a Scottish Fold named Maru, if you search Youtube for "Maru" there are like 50,000 videos of him being awesome.

I saw a similar trio on the Champs Elysée once. They were all curled up with the rat on top of the cat on top of the dog. It was a very friendly rat too, he liked to be fussed.

German Shepherd crossed with a malamute. I want one, but it's probably insanely expensive.
